A great location if a little hard to find in the dark. The instructions said the minor road off the A68 was signposted but it wasn’t. Clean for most part( not under the sofas) and the accommodation was as per description . We did find a few things which need some maintenance..no loo roll holder in one toilet, the kick board under the microwave kitchen surface fell off and had to be affixed. For ease of moving around with 7 people in it, the chest of draws could come out the utility area( leading to the loo) and it needs a dust pan and brush, otherwise the vacuum cleaner needs to be used a lot if one is walking or has a dog etc. We had other minor gripes( no corkscrew, non functioning of either TVs and a lack of roasting pans/ dishes ), but this was dealt with most efficiently by the managers. Thank you. The heating system didn’t seem to reach the lounge area ? The provided table cloth could stain very easily so we found ourselves washing it often. I would suggest replaced with a wipeable wax cloth one. .

We were in the area for a wedding so The Hayloft was an ideal place for our three families (8 people) to stay. Had everything we needed and is in lovely part of the country. WIFI wasn't great but that wasn't an issue for us (it may be for others). Would certainly return if the opprtunity arises.

It was just a short break between Christmas and New Year with grown up children, their partners & our dog. It suited us perfectly although we arrived on a very stormy, wet night so we got absolutely soaked unloading the car & navigating the dark path to the front door.& 6 pairs of wet, adult shoes at the kitchen doorway was a bit chaotic The Hayloft was,a great base for exploring, and comfortable & well equipped for cooking a couple of times in the evenings. We tried the hot tub but definitely needed more than the logs left to get it above tepid in temperature in Winter.... however it was still a bit of fun. The holiday let suited us well and we'd recommend it.

We stayed in the Old Woodworkers Cottage and Hayloft as a party of 12. The accommodation was ideally sized for us and hwas ideally placed very close to nearby towns (Hexham is only a 15 minute drive away, and you can walk to the nearby village) and quiet and far from others. The rooms were all well maintained and clean, with towels and linen provided. The only issues we encountered were with the Wi-Fi not working in the house (the owner kindly came to try and fix it, but it stopped working again), the BBQ, which was a little unsteady and not in ideal condition (but the owner also managed to find a BBQ in better condition), and the cookware, as the equipment provided was not really suitable for cooking for 8 (pots and pans were a bit small). Aside from those minor issues, we all had a great time, and I would definitely stay here again!
