A welcoming two bedroom holiday lodge with hot tub close to the lake on White Cross Bay. A delightful place to relax and unwind. Two small dogs welcome.

This lodge is in a good position, hot tub great, heating and hot water perfect.
The down side, not enough plates or basic utensils in general, but I did get more mugs and water glasses when I requested them on arrival. The bathroom definitely needs redecoration and the whole property looks very tired it doesn’t give a good impression when there is the old stalk of a dead plant rotting in a plant pot on the patio.
This property could be great with a bit of a makeover.

We do hope that you otherwise enjoyed your stay given the location and addition of a hot tub. Lakeside 1 is a popular lodge for families and friends looking for good value accommodation in the heart of the Lakes.

A perfect location for enjoying the inner Lakes, on a well appointed holiday site. The lodge was one of the most comfortable ones we have stayed in, especially the beds. A very practical, well resourced lodge with a beautiful hot tub. It was a joy to stay here and we would definitely consider staying again.

Very tired property. Shortage of crockery . Only 3 teaplates and dinner places even though sleeps 4.couldn’t use dishwasher .. had to wash ready for next use . The gap at bottom of bed between wardrobes was very tight . Had to walk sideways to get into bed .
Bathroom very much in need of refurbishing. Hoover didn’t work . TV system poor .

After having stayed in four other lodges on Whitecross Bay this one failed miserably in comparison. The rental price was not reflected in the condition of lodge . Should have been considerably reduced

We are sorry to hear your stay at Lakeside 1 was not quite to your satisfaction. We take on board all you have said and have checked the lodge today for the issues raised. We can tell you that the hoover is now working and there appears to be some missing side plates which we will replenish. Other than that, we are pleased to say that the lodge is fully equipped with plates, cups and cutlery. Thank you for letting us know and please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. It is regrettable that we were not made aware of these issues during your stay as had you done so we would have rectified these for you at the time. Noting your further comments and ratings, we will pass these on to the owners for their consideration and can only apologise that the lodge was not to your liking. Lakeside 1 is a popular two-bedroom holiday lodge in a sought after area of the park with the addition of a hot tub. On a more positive note we are pleased you enjoyed the location – indeed a fabulous spot in the heart of the Lake District.

The lodge had everything we needed and was well equipped. The park it is on is well kept and in a good location. The hot tub was lovely to use and maintained everyday. The outside space at the lodge was also really nice.
I do feel the lodge is now a bit rough around the edges and could do with a bit of an update. The main bedroom could do with mattress being replaced and ideally would be a bit bigger. I'd recommend taking a fan as the lodge gets very hot in the sunshine.
We also noticed quite a lot of ants in the kitchen despite keeping on top of cleaning. These were also in the breadbin and in certain cupboards. I stripped the bed at the end of our stay and the mattress protector was very heavily stained which was off-putting

Brilliant lodge with hot tub. Would stay here again. Only one slight issue. My preference would have been to have a mirror on the wall in the twin bedded room so you can sit on the bed to do hair etc.

We had a fantastic weekend here, the lodge had everything we wanted in it, was perfectly located for the lake and site amenities. The hot tub was fantastic, although not super private we had fun watching everyone around the site. The TV was great even had a DVD player. It had everything we needed and although it wasn't the most up to date lodge it was more than good enough for our weekend stay. It was so easy to book and check in ourselves.

Had a great stay for a week after Christmas at Lakeside 1. The lodge is on a great location on the park and the hot tub was lovely. The decking is very slippy when icy and wet so may benefit from some mats. The lodge had everything we needed. The carpet was stained in the lounge and would probably benefit from wood flooring. There was plenty of storage space in the lodge and we would definitely stay again.

The customer service from Lakes Cottages and Lodges was excellent. My daughter left something behind and it was promptly found and posted back to us.

Both of us enjoyed our stay at lakeside1, good location, lake very close. Nice and quiet. A few little negatives, stains on Carpets, chairs low on dinning tables no place mats when having a meal, freezer door would not shut. But overall a enjoyable stay.
