Our families had a magical time at Badengorm. The location is stunning and our grandchildren had freedom to explore and play by the burn and also space within the lodge to do their own thing. The games room is a bonus...the snooker table was well used by the adults. However as other reviewers have mentioned space is limited in the kitchen area and we found a blackened pan on arrival. We loved Badengorm but the sofas were not comfy!!! As a family of 10...everyone asked me to mention the seating. We only used them of an evening as there is so much to see and do in this superb setting...however...comfort is everything! Making more use of the utility room...perhaps a basin to wash more dishes would be helpful? We ran out of space in the kitchen area for preparation etc.
Thankyou for sharing your amazing home.

Location is idyllic, accommodation very comfortable. However, there are a few areas which need to be addressed to maintain the high standard of this accommodation.
On arrival the kitchen floor around the sink area was not clean. One of the smaller pots had a burnt base which was black and had not been cleaned. Measuring bowl required cleaning before use. The large frying pan was bevelled on the base and not suitable for purpose. In general the kitchen felt pretty disorganised in terms of cooking utensils, knives, and occasional use dishes all stored in random drawers and cupboards. This could be improved.
The freezer was heavily frosted and required defrosting.
The curtain in the main bedroom downstairs had hooks which had come off the rail. The en-suite bathroom had a wicker basket for toilet rolls which needed a good clean. BBQ was full of ash and unburnt bark. Fire pit had there empty cider cans.
The outside area at the back door felt unkept and unclean with a flip top bin which a mouse jumped out of. As well as this bin, there were other random boxes left at the back porch area. Empty tonic cans in the games room.
The above issues are very minor intended for constructive feedback. They are not complaints.
All in all we had an amazing stay but feel the above minor issues could easily be addressed to maintain this fantastic property. We would certainly recommend the Baddengorm Lodge and we hope that we have the opportunity to stay again.

We all had a wonderful holiday, enjoying the surroundings gardens, the views from inside, the comfortable living space, the well equipped games room, the fire pit in the evening and the wildlife, castles and great walks of the region.
Many thanks for an idyllic holiday.

Baddengorm is a wonderful, spacious and comfortable property. Everyone had a great stay. The grounds are lovely with the stream, pond and bridges. The games room is excellent. Couple all of this together with the fantastic scenery of the Cairngorms and you have the perfect holiday. Wonderful.

The house was brilliant for our 2 families of 8 adults, with plenty of en-suite bedrooms, and a separate family bathroom. A few things that could help improve the comfort, is a larger kitchen workspace with more storage - there was very limited worktop space especially when trying to prepare meals for 8 people, and the ovens need updating/improving. Also there were no spare kitchen cupboards for our food.

Also, there were very few wardrobes/cupboards or drawers in any of the bedrooms. In fact the Master Bedroom only had a small hanging rail with a few shelves - no wardrobe or drawers at all. Definitely needs more storage in the bedrooms!

But the house is amazing set in beautiful tranquil grounds, with the fantastic bar/games room for those that fancy it! The owner also supplied some toiletries and cleaning products - very useful! And despite my few ideas for improving the house, we would recommend it.

What a setting! Beautiful house with everything you need for a break away. Great space for a large group and the games room is an added bonus! We had some spring sunshine and a dusting of snow which was lovely and added to the tremendous views. We did not want to leave! Thanks for having us Beddengorm, we will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our time at the lodge however feel it wasn't worth the money.

1. Quality of furnishings downstairs was low.
2. Quality of cooking pans was very poor
3. House felt cluttered with gadgets that were not really useful or needed.
4. Decking is in need of upgrade - very slippery and not safe for toddlers and adults
5. Patio door locks very stiff

The above reflects an honest feedback on the house. The venue is great - just a beautiful setting however we all felt the house was very 'tired looking'. It wasn't worth what we paid for it

I wouldnt recommend the property in its current state

We found ourselves sitting on the low chairs and the dining charis as the couch just didnt look appealing

Baddengorm Lodge is in a wonderful location and was perfect for our annual pre-Christmas weekend near Aviemore. This year was extra special as we were also celebrating two 50th birthdays. We had the best time inside and outside the lodge, taking full advantage of the fire pit and the games room, as well as watching movies and football on the large TV. Perfect place to spend with your family, we would have loved to stay longer!!!

We booked Baddengorm Lodge for a 70th birthday celebration. We were excited before we went due to looking at the pictures online and the app was very handy but when we arrived the lodge and surroundings exceeded all expectations. The scenery was breathtaking and the lodge itself was fully equipped with everything anyone could need, as well as being extremely clean and well looked after. We enjoyed spending time in the games room and at firepit. We enjoyed our time at Baddengorm so much that we have already booked to return next September!

We have stayed in many houses in Scotland but this is by far the best. The layout of the property is fantastic, the house, surroundings and area is absolutely wonderful.
Hiuse is well equipped and this is the first time in over 10 years we have had tea, coffee and sugar on arrival and it makes a huge difference after a 7 hour drive.
The burn that runs through the grounds gives it such and idyllic and peaceful feel.
There is so much to do at Baddengorm Lodge and the wildlife makes the place even more magical. Look out for the red squirrel and the woodpeckers.
Even our dog of almost 15 years loved exploring and dipping her paws in the burn.
Huge thanks to the owners for allowing families to stay in their wonderful home.
Audra the housekeeper is lovely and on hand should you need her, very pleasant lady and the house was very clean and tidy for our stay. Thank you Audra.

We had a fantastic stay in what is a beautiful and unique lodge. The facilities and activities were the best we have experienced (having stayed in a number of similar places in the area over the years) and the setting is wonderful. Special mention to Audra for making herself available to answer queries while out on Mother’s Day activities!

Location is great although the access track needs care with any lower profile cars. Grounds perfect, our dog was in heaven. Lot of thoughtful provision, able to wash car, use wellington boots. Downstairs small double essentially a camp bed so not very comfortable. Otherwise good accommodation. I needed to stand in chair to reach couple of the curtain switches (too short). Overall loved, peaceful, quiet and lovely retreat. Thank you .

Overall - a lovely stay

Friday changeover day isn’t great, as kids are in school Friday, so lost a day, and still had to pay for 7 nights.

Great size house for our family of 7, and cosy spacious lounge.

Bedrooms lacked wardrobe storage.

Hot water was a bit of a pain at times, as it took ages to get warm,

Garden illumination/lights would make the lovely grounds feel amazing on the long winters nights.

A hot tub would have been a lovely extra.
