We stayed at Muckrach (and Cairngorm Cottage) for 3 nights for my 50th birthday celebration with 30 guests. It was absolutely brilliant! The house is immaculate, comfortable, clean and spectacular. It's very welcoming and it has everything there you need and just a amazing place to relax and enjoy its surroundings whether it be reading the papers in the library, chilling in the copious sitting rooms or playing croquet on the lawn. We had a special week at Drum Cottage. It is located remotely in a truly magical setting. The cottage was spotlessly clean on our arrival, beds are super comfy with crisp fresh linens, and fluffy towels. We saw red squirrels, buzzards, a red kite, and lots of birds in the garden. When we had a small issue, the housekeeper was very prompt to respond and it was resolved quickly which was excellent. I’d highly recommend a stay here, beautiful cottage, glorious setting with incredible views.
Outrageously opulent property with high end finishes, linen, amenities etc. We’re a group of 8 retired friends who annually rent in the highlands and this is the best we’ve had. It’s expensive but you get what you pay for. However, it could be improved further as it has superb views but the hedges have been allowed to grow un trimmed and obscure the views, namely in the kitchen and especially in the main semi circulate lounge. The only complaint . I felt 4pm arrival and 10 am departure left a short break quite short . Must holiday homes are 3 pm and 11am . I felt I was starting to pack things up the night before departing as we had to be out by 10 am . Probably if you were there for a week . It wouldn’t be as bad. The house however was lovely .
Everything about our stay was top quality and comfort. The garden was an absolute delight helped by the fact that food for the birds was in plentiful supply. There were a good number of birds most of the time, 2 red squirrels, a bank vole and 2 visits that we know of from a pine martin. We hope to return one day.
Coorie Lodge is a great house for a family holiday. The view from the back of the house is over the golf course - lovely peaceful view. We used the decking in the mornings when it didn't rain. The house is spacious and the furniture is comfortable. The house was clean and well maintained and the communication with staff was helpful and prompt. We will go back - we loved the house and would avoid the peak season as it was quite expensive for 4 nights at this time of year.
Writing to say thank you. We had 15 adults and 16 kids (ages 3 to 10) and found Gulabin Lodge an excellent experience to have such a gathering. The house and grounds provide ample space for games for the children. The kitchen was well stocked. The firepit was a hit and captivated everyone. We were in easy reach of local walks. Nothing was a problem for Helen and Tim and they created a relaxed atmosphere for us to have a wonderful weekend.
If you want to stay somewhere remote, quiet and peaceful, but without having to compromise in comfort, Laggandhu is the place to be. Very beautiful cottage which is well maintained. Not too far from activities and shops in the surrounding environment. We would definitely come back and can highly recommend this cottage.

We’ve had a lovely stay at Stables cottage. We come up to Nethy bridge most years but the first time we have stayed here. It won’t be the last. A lovely accommodation with everything you need for a week’s holiday. Excellent location and everything perfect.
We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The spacious dining and kitchen area is a real highlight, creating a lovely social space for family and friends. The location is excellent, with plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. We would happily recommend it.
Un magnifique chalet de style alpin, à quelque distance du centre. Intérieur très confortable et joliment décoré, pas de jardin ni de vue mais belle terrasse avec jacuzzi et le murmure du joli ruisseau qui longe la maison. On sent partout l'amour des propriétaires pour le lieu. Une belle adresse.
This is one of our favourite places, Glenfeshie House is in the most beautiful secluded spot and has everything we need for a wonderful family holiday.
We really enjoyed our stay at the property. It was lovely, comfortable, and generally well presented, and we were pleased with the accommodation overall. Unfortunately, our experience was let down by a leak coming through the bathroom light fitting. This was quite concerning, particularly because of the obvious electrical safety implications, and it was disappointing to encounter an issue like this during our stay as it also meant my grandchildren and daughter had to vacate the adjoining bedroom. GNL sent out their maintenance man (who was very good) but it wasn't fixable for a couple of days...more
We had a magnificent stay at Forest Trail Lodge from 18/5/26 - 25/5/26. The lodge was immaculate on arrival and everything perfect for ourselves my son and daghter-in-law and 18 month old grandson. I could not fault anything from the design of the lodge,the comfort of the beds and couches,and the range of kitchen crockery and utensils. The range of wild birds and a red squirrel delighted us all especially grandson Liam and I would recommend getting a bag of wild birdfood early in the stay to get as much benefit as possible. All in all a great week and we hope to return next year.
This was the second time that the seven of us have stayed at Pine Ridge Lodge. We had an excellent stay. The lodge is spotless, very well kept and has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. There are plenty of things to entertain children and adults alike. We would highly recommend. Thank you! We look forward to returning again.
This house was ideal for 3 generations getting together . Loads of space and plenty of different activities available nearby .
We had a fantastic stay at Ellon Cottage and would highly recommend it. The setting is absolutely beautiful, with amazing views and the opportunity to see deer and plenty of wildlife right from the cottage. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature. The cottage itself was lovely and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was fantastic, and having a good supply of wood provided for both the hot tub and the fire was a really thoughtful touch. 2 Queens Houses is in a great location. The house is of a high standard and is well equipped. Unfortunately our stay was cut short due to wildfires. Priory to that we had a great time with our family.
We stayed for a week in July 2026 with grandparents and three family groups, we all had plenty of room and the annex was perfect for grandparents to have a quiet space. En-suites throughout is a real plus point. Everything was clean and well maintained. The location was perfect for us. Really useful to have the cafe and farm shop on the doorstep, along with bike hire, cycle path and tree treck! We used it all!! Feshiebridge Cottage is a well equipped, comfortable and spacious accommodation about 15mins away from Aviemore. It is an excellent location for walks, bike rides, etc, right outside the front door. We discovered lots of good walks from a couple of miles to several miles. Just along from the cottage along the river walk there is a wee woodland walk which has the most amazing wood carvings from fallen trees all with explanations…well worth a look. We have stayed in Bennachie previously and this persuaded us to rebook. This area is one we know well and the beautiful house is ideal for a mixed age family stay. Plenty of room and beautiful peaceful surroundings. I would certainly recommend Bennachie to anyone wanting a comfortable, peaceful place to stay for a lovely holiday.
Location good everything in walking distance. Hot tub was lovely and big bonus. Nice and clean place, quiet area. But a bit disappointed, no welcome fire wood/starting kindling. No slippers and only 4 robes. No dishwasher tablets. Outside bins full. Both toilet seats need tightening up. I would expect for £1200 it to be spot on, so think it’s a bit over priced. We still had a good holiday.
As with previous stay accommodation and location perfect. Only one wee issue we both felt the mattress was a bit hard (i know it’s same mattress as last time but just felt it a bit more this time). Neighbours do NOT respect the parking space allocated to the property and we had to park further away on arrival. My wife commented to the person in our space who had also just arrived next door and he said he didn’t care about parking spaces and never moved for his complete stay (4 days). We won’t hesitate to return however as this is ideal for our needs. Thank you
We had a great stay and found the hot tub to be one of the best we have experienced. Loved the birds and squirrels and the walks directly from the door. Couple of minor things that need addressed as part of any upgrade plan, 1. A sign from the main road would be helpful 2. Some of the pans don’t work on the induction hob 3. The sofa needs replaced
Our second stay at Baddengorm and we had a fab time with great weather too fortunately. The house is amazing and has everything you need. We hope to be back again soon.
We have been coming here every year since 2022. The cottage itself is an old ticket office and is situated next to the old platform of Nethy Bridge station. Plenty of walks from the door, the beautiful Abernethy forest is a few steps away and it's a convenient base for exploring the Cairngorms. The cottage itself is comfortable, clean and well equipped and for those with dogs the large garden is well maintained and very secure (not just dog proof but husky proof!). Location was ideal for our purposes, very tranquil and beautiful but still close enough to main local amenities and attractions. Bridge closure was inconvenient but did not detract. Property is modern, clean and comfortable and is well provided for in all respects for everything we needed and more on our stay. We enjoyed using the log burner on a rainy day. The hot tub was good too and clearly well maintained. Overall we felt Rivercroft was a ‘home from home’ and offered us a relaxing family retreat. Hopefully we will return soon.
The location is wonderful and overall we enjoyed our three night family stay. We all felt that there were things not up to scratch for the very high price of a three night stay. One window in the living room and one window in the large first floor bedroom had smeared fingerprints all over them. There were no usable gas lighters for the fire/hot tub, bowls and plates were dirty and some quite badly cracked or chipped, the bathroom floor upstairs hadn't been cleaned properly as there were black hairs everywhere and doors were dirty where people have opened and closed them. I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding our recent stay at The Neuk (Great North Lodges) from Friday 15th to Monday 18th May 2026. Our party of five, along with two dogs, had been looking forward to this break; however, the condition of the property and the number of issues encountered fell significantly below the standard advertised and expected for the price paid. Had a great stay with extended family at Croft Kincardine. Lots of space and very quiet and peaceful with huge terrace for enjoying sundowners at the end of action packed days. Can thoroughly recommend.
This was our third stay at Spey Cottage and it was just as good as always. Great location, handy for town and right by the river.
We booked our stay as a treat for our honeymoon with our two young kids. Unfortunately due to a storm we were left with no electricity. While we understand that this is out with the control of the owners the running water is pumped by an electric pump and it meant that for the first nearly 24 hours we had no running water as well as electricity and as had to vacate the property for an entire day. When we reached out regarding this we feel we have been let down with no adequate resolution and ourselves out of pocket. As a result we would not recommend this property
We stayed at Bracken House for a week in late June 2026 and had a wonderful time. The house was lovely, very clean, comfortable and had every amenity you could have a need for. The location is set within stunning silver birch woods on the outskirts of Aviemore where you can walk into town within 15 minutes or set off into the surrounding mountains on foot direct from the door. We had a wonderful break and are hoping to all return.Yes,it is "dated" but doesn't detract from it's charm.My grandson loved the space and being all on one level to work on his walking! Ideal property to explore an area that we all love. I agree with an earlier review that it would benefit from one of the twins becoming a double and also from blackout curtains in rooms with single beds where early rising children might be,especially in Summer! but otherwise we all had a great stay.
This was an amazing place to stay the garden was the best bit and our golden retriever loved it. Inside was very comfortable and the Prosecco and shortbread were a very appreciated treat.
This was our second stay at Black Grouse, the first being 7years previous. I noticed this time that cleanliness was poorer than before. On arrival the front door needed cleaning and sweeping, there were leaves and dust about the entrance way. Inside All the windows needed cleaning. Both verandas were dusty needing mopped and wiped down etc. The grass outside was quite long, it was cut during our stay but I feel this should have been done before people arrived. Great accommodation- very comfortable and everything I needed! Location was perfect- short walk to town and plenty of dog walking areas. Also close for getting to other areas within the Cairngorms, Inverness or Lochness. Would defo recommend!
We absolutely loved our stay at Wolf Lodge. You guys have thought of absolutely everything when it comes to facilities and it is the perfect, quiet, brilliantly located little lodge for accessing all of the usual tourist areas and woodland walks close by. The lodge itself is just perfect, it had plenty of space for our family of four plus our dog. The garden is secure so the kids and dog could easily go out and run around without worry. Nice lodge but we had some issues with hot water, and one of the beds had a mattress that smelled really bad. Cleanliness was okay but lots of dust under the beds. Hopefully a one-off as we have rented cottages with Great North Lodges before without any issue.
House was lovely, very clean, great location, and the hot tub & sauna were great! Added bonus was watching all the trains coming into the village station from the living room window - my 11 year old was in his element!
