We stayed at Muckrach (and Cairngorm Cottage) for 3 nights for my 50th birthday celebration with 30 guests. It was absolutely brilliant! The house is immaculate, comfortable, clean and spectacular. It's very welcoming and it has everything there you need and just a amazing place to relax and enjoy its surroundings whether it be reading the papers in the library, chilling in the copious sitting rooms or playing croquet on the lawn. We very much enjoyed our stay in Cathedral House. It was extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated and in a terrific position. Would highly recommend!
Our old management team have been meeting once a year since our company closed 24 years ago. Drum lodge is up there with the best properties where we have stayed The facilities and layout is probably the best we had. Very comfortable and extremely clean. I would suggest the end bedroom could be improved by updating the decor to brighten it up. In summary we loved it.Hope to return.
The only complaint . I felt 4pm arrival and 10 am departure left a short break quite short . Must holiday homes are 3 pm and 11am . I felt I was starting to pack things up the night before departing as we had to be out by 10 am . Probably if you were there for a week . It wouldn’t be as bad. The house however was lovely .
Mallard was the perfect holiday home. It was comfortable, clean and had everything practical you could want. It was a little chilly later in the week and the heating system was excellent. Seeing red squirrels and a crested tit in the back garden was an absolute delight. Another plus was the location, we did three walks from the house, just perfect. Coorie Lodge was exactly what we needed. It was a comfortable and spacious base for us to explore the surrounding areas. It had everything we required for a relaxing holiday and it was lovely to come back to in the evenings and just chill. The kitchen was well equipped as was the utility room. It was nice to have a separate dining area and the living room was spacious and airy. The weather was really kind to us and we were able to have the patio doors open on several occasions. Writing to say thank you. We had 15 adults and 16 kids (ages 3 to 10) and found Gulabin Lodge an excellent experience to have such a gathering. The house and grounds provide ample space for games for the children. The kitchen was well stocked. The firepit was a hit and captivated everyone. We were in easy reach of local walks. Nothing was a problem for Helen and Tim and they created a relaxed atmosphere for us to have a wonderful weekend.
If you want to stay somewhere remote, quiet and peaceful, but without having to compromise in comfort, Laggandhu is the place to be. Very beautiful cottage which is well maintained. Not too far from activities and shops in the surrounding environment. We would definitely come back and can highly recommend this cottage.
The extension of the old Stables building works really well and particularly liked the living room on the first floor with its two balconies and felt like you were almost living amongst the trees, a lot of good natural light and views. Everything was clean and fresh and garden was ideal for our 2 springer spaniels to stretch their legs. Getting to the woods behind was only a short 100yds or so walk, didn't try the stile at the rear to the garden, maybe next time. We had a wonderful week in Mallachie. The house is really comfortable, with lots of space to relax, and is very well equipped with all you could need. The kitchen was particularly well equipped - a real bonus when cooking for a group. The location is very special too, with red squirrels jumping between branches of the trees behind the kitchen window, and lovely woodland surrounding the outside spaces. Highly recommended...

Have stayed here many times so that’s a good sign! Another lovely stay! This year it felt cosier as the heating was set to come on in the morning which was so much better. Ice bag in freezer also a great plus! Same suggestions as last year! A coffee machine! Can buy a nespresso for minimal ££. I bring my own but is a hassle! Blind in master bedroom high window. Make the bunk room window into a door so the room is more useable as a real 3 bedroom rather than 2.5! The trolleys to move luggage etc are vital but one of them is falling apart! beautiful house and location, this is not meant to be critical or in any way a reflection on whether or not we will return to this house, but having had several visits to this property, we noticed it was starting to look a little tired, showers/kitchen work benches etc that said, it is a fabulous house in a beautiful location wonderful family holiday
We had a magnificent stay at Forest Trail Lodge from 18/5/26 - 25/5/26. The lodge was immaculate on arrival and everything perfect for ourselves my son and daghter-in-law and 18 month old grandson. I could not fault anything from the design of the lodge,the comfort of the beds and couches,and the range of kitchen crockery and utensils. The range of wild birds and a red squirrel delighted us all especially grandson Liam and I would recommend getting a bag of wild birdfood early in the stay to get as much benefit as possible. All in all a great week and we hope to return next year.
Another great stay at Pine Ridge Lodge! Three generations now and well equipped for all, comfortable and spacious. Fab location, walks from the door, garden lovely for socialising and relaxing. Loved the different areas to sit in and catch the sun! Hot tub a bonus. Only downside was there was a lot of dog hairs on some of the throws and carpets in the bedrooms. Not ideal with a crawling baby. Couldn’t find a vac otherwise we would have tried to remove some. Nothing that would put us off booking again though.
This is a really fine house in a truly fabulous location. The amenities on the doorstep, including the local pub, are tremendous. The house is very well appointed. It is easy to see that the owners have invested in making it a fine place to stay. There are one or two things still needing a little bit of attention but these are a work in progress. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is really well appointed. The dining table is perfect even if the house is full. We had a lovely stay in this wonderful, well equipped house, the hot tub was a welcome addition after a day spent walking! The property was within walking distance of Aviemore with its cafes and shops which was handy when you don’t want to cook. Very comfortable and clean would highly recommend.
Great location - not cheap, but it’s well appointed. We enjoyed our stay and will book again. I won’t bother with “the good” stuff because that’s already good, so to the improvement required….. House not clean enough. Soap and debris under taps , dust in lots of corners - better cleaner required. Not enough logs left for the stay. Log burner not adjustable and needs looking at as it incinerates only . Broken shelves in fridge. That’s it.
We had a fantastic stay at the Old Ministers House and have booked with GNL many times. We visit the area several times a year and the location at Rothimurcus is perfect for us for all the activities we enjoy. The house itself is very comfortable there's lovely big sofa in living room, bedrooms and en-suites all clean and big comfy beds, the kitchen could do with a bit of a spruce up and a couple of things renewed however the house has the perfect layout for family groups and and the garden with hotub & BBQ area is fab. Beautiful cottage in the most beautiful setting. Cosy, comfortable, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed for a perfect stay. We had the most relaxing week here, our children absolutely loved it too. Exploring the tracks and trails from our doorstep on the Dorback Estate, returning to the hot tub to soak up the stunning views, and star-gazing in the evenings made it a truly special place to stay. We didn’t want to leave! If you’re looking to escape and get away from it all, we couldn’t recommend this cottage more highly. We would love to return.
We have just returned from this brilliant cottage in Nethy Bridge. It was a delight of a cottage. It used to be the station masters house on the old railway line. It is very cosy, and had everything you need. It's very close to the Speyside way for walks, and had a butchers farm shop closed by, plus a pub/inn plus a cafe within a few hundred metres. We will be back!
View of the mountains from the comfort of the living area was unbeatable. Beautiful kitchen leading out to the decking area.
The lodge is amazing. You drive through the gates, through the forest over a crest, and are met with a stunning view of the lodge and the sprawling gardens. The wrap-around decking lets you follow the sun (when it's there) and listen to the birds merrily chirping. Inside doesn't disappoint either. The conservatory TV room became a perfect hideaway for the older 'kids' (22 and 18), leaving the TV near the kitchen for the adults. This is the second time we have stayed a this property. Its central location in Aviemore is great making everything within a short walk. The flat is still a nice new build flat but is starting to show signs of wear and tear, marks on walls and skirtings. The cleaning is ok. The cleaner doesn’t like skirtings or moving furniture. Some of the bedding needs replaced as there were stains on them. Overall a great base to explore the surrounding area, comfortable and cozy with everything you will need for a self catering holiday.
This is our third visit to Feshiebridge Cottage. We love the location and all the facilities, the games room, hot tub and especially the BBQ hut. We did find that on this occasion there were a few issues with maintenance. The showers doors ere being fixed so we did avoid using these during our stay. We also found that there was a lack of things such as placements/coasters and mug;, the mugs available were cracked and chipped. It just needs a bit of a refresh. The location is wonderful and overall we enjoyed our three night family stay. We all felt that there were things not up to scratch for the very high price of a three night stay. One window in the living room and one window in the large first floor bedroom had smeared fingerprints all over them. There were no usable gas lighters for the fire/hot tub, bowls and plates were dirty and some quite badly cracked or chipped, the bathroom floor upstairs hadn't been cleaned properly as there were black hairs everywhere and doors were dirty where people have opened and closed them. Rivercroft is in a stunning location and well situated to explore the beautiful, Aviemore is only a short drive away. However, the maintenance let the lodge down. The two carbon monoxide detectors had low batteries and started beeping in the early hours of the morning on two separate occasions. Great North Lodges were helpful and the owner did arrive the next day. The living room door was broke on arrival. The front door was sticking, making locking it difficult. Had a great stay with extended family at Croft Kincardine. Lots of space and very quiet and peaceful with huge terrace for enjoying sundowners at the end of action packed days. Can thoroughly recommend.
This is our second time staying here and we have always enjoyed our stay. It’s comfortable, clean and the location is perfect. Within easy walking distance of shops and train station. The garden and decking is lovely, especially when you get the lovely weather to enjoy it! It would be good if there was a gate or something at the bottom of the garden to make it enclosed for dogs.
A group of my friends who all turned 40 recently just stayed at The Neuk and the property was everything we wanted. Lots of socialising space, a hot tub and the table tennis all contributed to a great weekend. The local pub just around the corner was also an added bonus.Would definitely recommend to any wanting to stay in the Aviemore area.
We booked our stay as a treat for our honeymoon with our two young kids. Unfortunately due to a storm we were left with no electricity. While we understand that this is out with the control of the owners the running water is pumped by an electric pump and it meant that for the first nearly 24 hours we had no running water as well as electricity and as had to vacate the property for an entire day. When we reached out regarding this we feel we have been let down with no adequate resolution and ourselves out of pocket. As a result we would not recommend this property
Another fabulous stay at Bracken House , great location and perfect accommodation. We even had a family of deer visit for the first time , amazing ! We'll be back !
3 families had a very good week at Langrick: Positive - ideally located; very spacious for the number; very comfortable - beds, sofas etc.; good facilities ie Dishwasher; Freezer; 2 Fridges; excellent Showers with instant hot water for all; Warm and comfortable with the log burners. Negative - access and entrance gates really need attention, tricky getting vehicles in and out - safely and undamaged . TV in smaller lounge area inop. Minor electrical issues need attention ie right side main bedroom bedside light inop. All in all very good value for money
What a wonderful, relaxing stay we have had , we actually got lost the first night as there was so much space . The whole feel of the place is just amazing we will definitely be booking again if you will have us. The dog Spartacus was in his element with the garden and access to water. We didn’t want to leave thank you so much to the whole team involved.
Excellent lodge situated in a prime location. Not enclosed if you have dogs, would have preferred gates at entrance.

As a family holiday for 8 people we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the location was amazing as was the hot tub. A few issues though, the decking was extremely slippy and could cause injury to those with mobility issues. The beds all should have mattress protectors as only when we stripped the beds on the last day we noticed the metal frame bed mattress was severely stained. All rooms would also benefit from bigger beds. A guest book would be helpful to include when the bins were due to be collected for example as we had to take all out rubbish with us which wasn't very pleasant to do du...more
Close to all the main attractions in the area but in a quiet cul de sac. Very pleasant walks on the doorstep. Path to the river - where some happy souls dook themselves. An excellent spot.
