Fantastic property and fantastic location, great wildlife, great bike rides and loved eating at Andersons. Added bonus, saw a scottish wildcat. Our 2nd stay here, we also love Mallard. The only thing to mention, is there was no pen to sign the guestbook, we couldnt fill it in last time either. We would recommend a couple of sunloungers or comfy seats for the garden - just for when the weathers great and you want to read in a compfy spot outside. Will definately be back, its one of our favourites.
We stayed at Muckrach (and Cairngorm Cottage) for 3 nights for my 50th birthday celebration with 30 guests. It was absolutely brilliant! The house is immaculate, comfortable, clean and spectacular. It's very welcoming and it has everything there you need and just a amazing place to relax and enjoy its surroundings whether it be reading the papers in the library, chilling in the copious sitting rooms or playing croquet on the lawn. We had a special week at Drum Cottage. It is located remotely in a truly magical setting. The cottage was spotlessly clean on our arrival, beds are super comfy with crisp fresh linens, and fluffy towels. We saw red squirrels, buzzards, a red kite, and lots of birds in the garden. When we had a small issue, the housekeeper was very prompt to respond and it was resolved quickly which was excellent. I’d highly recommend a stay here, beautiful cottage, glorious setting with incredible views.
Beautiful lodge with gorgeous furnishings. Coffee maker, coffee pods, fully equipped kitchen … everything we could ever need. We lost power overnight but this was fixed within 15 minutes when we reported it. Lovely bedrooms and enclosed outdoor area. We had a fantastic holiday. A suggestion for the future although it did not stop us from having a great time: we would have preferred mugs for coffee rather than cups and saucers - minor issue!
We have stayed in multiple holiday homes in the Aviemore/Cairngorms area over the past 5 years. As a large family it can be tricky to find places which accommodate us all, whilst having amenities for both adults and young children. Craggan Mill had everything we needed and more - the property itself was immaculate with plenty of space and a layout which allowed everyone to do their own thing or spend time together. We had a 3 generation family holiday at this lovely lodge. It was by far the best house we have ever stayed. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms beautiful. Kitchen well equipped and huge! Public areas large and plenty areas for children to play and adults to chat. 2 cute children’s bedrooms sleep 5 kids/ teens upstairs with playroom and tv. We really enjoyed our stay at Mallard, 3 generations and a dog. The location is quiet and gives fantastic access to wonderful walks straight from the door. The garden is large and fully enclosed so great for families with dogs and young children, we saw a red squirrel and our Grandson was delighted to see the pine marten which visited most evenings about 9 pm. Location really good, plenty to do only a short drive away. Coorie Lodge was the perfect place for our holiday. Set just outside the town centre, it offered the ideal balance of being close to everything while still enjoying complete peace and quiet. The location was fantastic, especially with a beautiful walking and cycling trail right on the doorstep. The lodge itself was comfortable, well-equipped, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and would definitely return. Highly recommended!
Spacious living space and comfortable bedrooms in a very quiet setting. House has everything you need and the kitchen is well stocked with crockery, cutlery etc - all you require for making meals at home. Outdoor space includes garden area, decking and a hot tub - all of which adds to the property :). Nethy Bridge is located about 5 mins drive away, where you can get the basics and both Grantown on Spey & Aviemore are just a bit further. Writing to say thank you. We had 15 adults and 16 kids (ages 3 to 10) and found Gulabin Lodge an excellent experience to have such a gathering. The house and grounds provide ample space for games for the children. The kitchen was well stocked. The firepit was a hit and captivated everyone. We were in easy reach of local walks. Nothing was a problem for Helen and Tim and they created a relaxed atmosphere for us to have a wonderful weekend.
The location of stables cottage was fantastic within short driving distance from Aviemore and with lots of walks nearby. Our kids especially enjoyed the garden and the chest of toys helped to keep them entertained. Perfect for a family stay. Due to the wild fires, some local activities and roads were closed. We found plenty of other things to do however and just means we have to return again one day.
Wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche im Glenfeshie House. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 9 Personen, es war toll mit den vielen Zimmern und Badezimmern. War immer warm Wasser da und genug Holz für den Ofen in der Stube. Ein unvergessliches Erlebniss so mitten in der Natur Ferien zu machen.
We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The spacious dining and kitchen area is a real highlight, creating a lovely social space for family and friends. The location is excellent, with plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. We would happily recommend it.
All 7 of us enjoyed the lodge, it,s got so much character, was well equipped with things that u would need for your stay. We all just loved it, totally loved the outdoor area and hot tub. Will defenitly be back soon.
We had a magnificent stay at Forest Trail Lodge from 18/5/26 - 25/5/26. The lodge was immaculate on arrival and everything perfect for ourselves my son and daghter-in-law and 18 month old grandson. I could not fault anything from the design of the lodge,the comfort of the beds and couches,and the range of kitchen crockery and utensils. The range of wild birds and a red squirrel delighted us all especially grandson Liam and I would recommend getting a bag of wild birdfood early in the stay to get as much benefit as possible. All in all a great week and we hope to return next year.
Boat of Garten is a perfect holiday location but that’s another story. The property gets my 5 stars for a number of reasons such as back gate gets you directly into the woods for dog trips and children adventures. The garden is huge but not intended to be a ‘look but don’t touch’ place. Run around as much as you like chasing screaming children. And it’s big. There’s a large common area where everyone can gather or sit out on the balcony and look at the stunning highlands whilst sipping on a large glass of something. Only issue was that some of the showers were very poor. Some guests had almost no water pressure and others ran warm and cold.
2 Queens Houses is in a great location. The house is of a high standard and is well equipped. Unfortunately our stay was cut short due to wildfires. Priory to that we had a great time with our family.
Fabulous house with everything you would need. Owners were very helpful and lovely to deal with! Would stay again!
We had a lovely stay at Ellon. Set on its own with no one else around you, with a hot tub over looking the mountains makes this place very special indeed. Not too far from Nethy Bridge which has a fabulous little cafe, great farm shop and local store there for your convenience. Hard to fault it, but if I had to suggest one thing it would be that the bathroom could do with a little update. Thank you for a wonderful stay and I hope to come back sometime.
Well situated house for all amenities,garden was not suitable for small children.House needed a deep clean and redecorated in some areas.
Feshiebridge Cottage is a well equipped, comfortable and spacious accommodation about 15mins away from Aviemore. It is an excellent location for walks, bike rides, etc, right outside the front door. We discovered lots of good walks from a couple of miles to several miles. Just along from the cottage along the river walk there is a wee woodland walk which has the most amazing wood carvings from fallen trees all with explanations…well worth a look. We recently enjoyed a week-long stay at Bennachie in Aviemore to celebrate a special birthday. Our party consisted of four adults and two dogs, and the property proved to be an excellent base for exploring the Cairngorm Mountains and local attractions. Location good everything in walking distance. Hot tub was lovely and big bonus. Nice and clean place, quiet area. But a bit disappointed, no welcome fire wood/starting kindling. No slippers and only 4 robes. No dishwasher tablets. Outside bins full. Both toilet seats need tightening up. I would expect for £1200 it to be spot on, so think it’s a bit over priced. We still had a good holiday.
As with previous stay accommodation and location perfect. Only one wee issue we both felt the mattress was a bit hard (i know it’s same mattress as last time but just felt it a bit more this time). Neighbours do NOT respect the parking space allocated to the property and we had to park further away on arrival. My wife commented to the person in our space who had also just arrived next door and he said he didn’t care about parking spaces and never moved for his complete stay (4 days). We won’t hesitate to return however as this is ideal for our needs. Thank you
We had a great stay and found the hot tub to be one of the best we have experienced. Loved the birds and squirrels and the walks directly from the door. Couple of minor things that need addressed as part of any upgrade plan, 1. A sign from the main road would be helpful 2. Some of the pans don’t work on the induction hob 3. The sofa needs replaced
This is a good house with great views. The road noise is the only downside to the location. The outdoor space is good and the garden is enclosed. Whilst I support no mow May we were there in mid June and the grass had not been cut. The BBQ is a good size but had not been cleaned. The ash pan was full to overflowing as was the ash pan in the hot tub. Toilet seat in on suite toilet had a broken fixing. The reading light in the lounge was not working. We have been coming here every year since 2022. The cottage itself is an old ticket office and is situated next to the old platform of Nethy Bridge station. Plenty of walks from the door, the beautiful Abernethy forest is a few steps away and it's a convenient base for exploring the Cairngorms. The cottage itself is comfortable, clean and well equipped and for those with dogs the large garden is well maintained and very secure (not just dog proof but husky proof!). Very nice and comfortable cottage on a nice location. A perfect place to explore the Cairncorms. Its a very good place to calm down from busy working life. The hottub is so relaxing. Unfortenately the bridge on the road is closed so you can only reach the cottage from Carrbridge.

Had a great stay with extended family at Croft Kincardine. Lots of space and very quiet and peaceful with huge terrace for enjoying sundowners at the end of action packed days. Can thoroughly recommend.
Spacious enough for all seven of us and great location for exploring Aviemore and the surroundings. However a few food essentials for the kitchen would have been welcome plus one of the double beds was uncomfortable
We booked our stay as a treat for our honeymoon with our two young kids. Unfortunately due to a storm we were left with no electricity. While we understand that this is out with the control of the owners the running water is pumped by an electric pump and it meant that for the first nearly 24 hours we had no running water as well as electricity and as had to vacate the property for an entire day. When we reached out regarding this we feel we have been let down with no adequate resolution and ourselves out of pocket. As a result we would not recommend this property
We had an amazing long weekend staying at Bracken Lodge. There is plenty of room with the kitchen, living room and enclosed garden providing a perfect setting for socialising and relaxing. My Mum the entire weekend kept saying "It just has everything you need". Only a small improvement recommendation would be to have the chairlift area next to the hot tub a bit cleaner with somewhere you're able to hang towels. Would definitely plan to return - superb house in an excellent alpine feeling location!
We had a wonderful break and are hoping to all return.Yes,it is "dated" but doesn't detract from it's charm.My grandson loved the space and being all on one level to work on his walking! Ideal property to explore an area that we all love. I agree with an earlier review that it would benefit from one of the twins becoming a double and also from blackout curtains in rooms with single beds where early rising children might be,especially in Summer! but otherwise we all had a great stay.
This was an amazing place to stay the garden was the best bit and our golden retriever loved it. Inside was very comfortable and the Prosecco and shortbread were a very appreciated treat.
We had an amazing 3 night stay at Blackgrouse lodge. The house is stunning and the lodge has a very homely feel to it and everything has been thought through. The hot tub was lovely and the views of the cairngorms is stunning. The lodge was very clean upon arrival minus the pull out bed in the bedroom for 4. All other bedrooms ans bathrooms are very modern and of high quality. Any issues we had were dealt with quickly. Great accommodation- very comfortable and everything I needed! Location was perfect- short walk to town and plenty of dog walking areas. Also close for getting to other areas within the Cairngorms, Inverness or Lochness. Would defo recommend!
Website looked impressive. Outside the decking, hot tub etc looked good but inside it looked tired. Old furniture, tiny bunk beds and very little space. Four adults could not have eaten at that table. I’ve never seen such a tiny television before. A cupboard to hang up things had a high chair, baby cot and ironing board in it. Tiniest of kitchens with nowhere to put dry foods. Good sauna and bathroom but towels a bit dated too. Parking was very tight, very difficult to reverse out.
Nice lodge but we had some issues with hot water, and one of the beds had a mattress that smelled really bad. Cleanliness was okay but lots of dust under the beds. Hopefully a one-off as we have rented cottages with Great North Lodges before without any issue.
We had a great week's stay at Salmon Run Lodge. The staff were very helpful regarding our query on the lodge key and sorted the issue out quickly and efficiently. The hot tub and sauna were well maintained and made a great difference to our stay.
