Mallard is a tastefully decorated 3 bedroom cottage that has been updated and recently re-decorated. It provides spacious, warm and comfortable accommodation for up to 6 adults in 3 bedrooms. Ideal for families and small groups, there is a large private enclosed garden with direct access to the extensive woodland paths in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mallard, 3 generations and a dog. The location is quiet and gives fantastic access to wonderful walks straight from the door. The garden is large and fully enclosed so great for families with dogs and young children, we saw a red squirrel and our Grandson was delighted to see the pine marten which visited most evenings about 9 pm.
Location really good, plenty to do only a short drive away.
Only criticism is please could you supply a pen with the visitor book, we would love to have left a message for the owners to thank them for a lovely stay and the wonderful cake they left for us and to advise them that the blackout lining on bedroom curtains needs some attention, other than that a 5* holiday.

We had a lovely stay at Mallard, there is plenty to do in the area and the countryside is just awesome. The grandchildren loved the garden and exploring the woods. The wildlife in the garden was a delight, especially the woodpecker and pine martin. (Also saw a capercaillie on one of my cycle rides) We enjoyed to cycling and trips to Loc Garten for walks and to see the Osprey. Would definitely book again.

Boat of Garten is a lovely village surround by woodland which makes it ideal for a bit of wildlife spotting. Due to their rarirty, Capercaille are a protected species and have a bit of a reputation for "not being particularly friendly" - you are lucky to have had a sighting :)

Excellent location, with a fantastic garden. We saw deer, red Squirrels and many small birds from the garden. The cottage is very comfortable and light, well equipped with particular attention to detail. Beautiful plates, mugs and bowls, a good variety of utensils.

This holiday home was just perfect for us.It was very comfortable and extremely well equipped. The garden was enjoyed by our 2 year old grandson. The location is ideal . We had great weather which was a bonus. Would love to return.

Absolutely loved the weeks break.
Or 2 kids, 3 & 5 had a fantastic time.

We all loved the house and gardens. Its location for going out walks and exploring was perfect.

Definitely will be coming back.
