We really enjoyed our stay at the property. It was lovely, comfortable, and generally well presented, and we were pleased with the accommodation overall.
Unfortunately, our experience was let down by a leak coming through the bathroom light fitting. This was quite concerning, particularly because of the obvious electrical safety implications, and it was disappointing to encounter an issue like this during our stay as it also meant my grandchildren and daughter had to vacate the adjoining bedroom. GNL sent out their maintenance man (who was very good) but it wasn't fixable for a couple of days which meant the last 2 nights of our stay were uncomfortable bedroom wise. When I returned from the holiday I asked GNL if some sort of refund was possible as we didn't get what we initially paid for. I told GNL that I understood it wasn't their fault that the heavy downpour caused the leak but I did expect them to be more understanding of my expectations as I had paid a lot of money for the property because of the amount of bedrooms and bathrooms. GNL responded to my initial email of asking for a refund, they said they would not be refunding anything as the heavy rain had caused the leak and their were plenty of other bathrooms!! I responded to this by saying the bathrooms weren't the issue but the sleeping arrangements were and this made 2 nights uncomfortable. At this time GNL have not responded to my second email. I would still recommend this property but I feel a little let down by GNL if I'm honest.

We stayed for the weekend with family to celebrate husbands 60th birthday. Beautiful place, very roomy and everything you need. The hot tub was great and the various seating areas outside was fantastic. Our weather was decent but would’ve been better if the weather was a bit warmer to be able to enjoy the outside seating more. We did manage to sit out quite late one night at the fire pit.
Only slight criticism I would say is the leather sofas in the living room could be doing with updated as a bit tired and uncomfortable, but all in all, a very great stay

We were a family of 6 adults 3 children (age 9,11and 13) and 2 dogs. The Mill was very spacious and had everything we required and more. It was an easy 20 minute walk into Grantown - we also did this a few times on our bikes. We used the Sauna and the Hot Tub - both of which were super and the garden was great for the kids and the dogs. We also used the BBQ and the pizza oven - rem to take charcoal and wood!!!!
Beds were super comfy - showers / bathroom facilities were excellent and kitchen had absolutely everything.
Our only slight negative was when we moved the sofas and coffee table in the lounge (the kids lost a little ball) there was a lot of muck underneath which had clearly been there for some time. We also found a few bits and pieces down the sides of the sofas.
We had a super week at Craggan Mill and would definitely recommend a visit - you won’t be disappointed . July 2026.

Absolutely fantasitc place to stay for our family break in the area. We had a busy week with outdoor activites and the house and all its facilities provided everything we needed to relax afterwards. The house and garden is big enough to enjoy your own space if needed but has plenty of areas for a large group to come together comfortably.

We have stayed in multiple holiday homes in the Aviemore/Cairngorms area over the past 5 years. As a large family it can be tricky to find places which accommodate us all, whilst having amenities for both adults and young children. Craggan Mill had everything we needed and more - the property itself was immaculate with plenty of space and a layout which allowed everyone to do their own thing or spend time together. The outdoor space is amazing, with the play park and stream being perfect for the kids as well as the hot tub and fire pit for the adults. The views were great too as was the location. We will definitely book again.

We had an extended family celebration for my 40th birthday at Craggan Mill and had the best weekend!
The big living room and kitchen meant we could all celebrate in the one room. It has a superb modern country style feel with so many small touches which we all loved. The rooms are all to a very high standard and we loved that each room had its own bathroom. The 4 kids loved the fun bunk beds and the hot tub and sauna was the best we’ve been in and loved by all! The gardens are beautiful and the kids loved going over the wee bridges. My sister was able to take their dog too which was amazing!
We also had a super day at Landmark one of the days which was brilliant. Only a short 15 minutes drive. Would definitely recommend!

From the amazing art works on the wall and beautiful light fittings to the quality beds and showers, everything in this cottage had been chosen with care to provide guests with a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Ample parking and close proximity to a well stocked supermarket was appreciated and the youngsters made good use of the activity centre across the road, as well as enjoying the hot tub and sauna.
The request as we left was ‘Can we come back next year?’ That says it all!

Very enjoyable stay in this quirky but comfortable spacious house. Very well equipped for a large group. Gardens, hot tub bbq etc all great outdoor space. Would definitely recommend and hope to revisit.

This property was more than we could ever of imagined. It had everything we needed for our long weekend - and more! It was very well equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, the lot. It was clean, spacious and had so many little quirky areas outside that just made it feel really homely. My kids loved the garden area and climbing frame. We loved the hot tub and outdoor seating areas. We have no complaints. There were tears when we had to go home. Thank you so much!

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at Craggan Mill. We were celebrating some big birthdays and it was an ideal place for family and friends to gather to do this! The place was spotless, the accommodation was perfect, and the facilities were excellent! Everything you could possibly need had been provided, a great deal of thought had gone into the finishing touches and the kitchen was very well equipped. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, and filled with very nice items! The communication with Great North Lodges leading up to our stay was excellent, and the app was extremely helpful and very comprehensive with all the information we could possibly need. I would definitely recommend Craggan Mill and Great North Lodges. Excellent customer service throughout the whole experience. Thank you for a wonderful weekend break!

This is a beautiful place, and so well equipped with everything you need.

Highly recommend Craggan Mill. Beautiful house with lots of space for a large group and the house had everything we needed and more. We were fortunate to have lots of snow so it was even more special. We appreciated that the drive had been cleared for us arriving and paths cut to the hot tub. GNL’s also came round to clear the snow off the hot tub lid mid week which was very helpful. Loved sitting in it in the snow. The sauna was fab too.

Had a fantastic break with my family to celebrate a 70th birthday.The accommodation was fantastic, kids enjoyed the beds in the wee nooks and crannies. Kitchen was fully equipped. The hot tub and sauna was a lovely addition to the house and we all enjoyed it. We would certainly have no hesitation to book it again and would recommend it to all our friends and family.
