We stayed for a long weekend in Stables Cottage and will definitely be looking to come back! The house was beautiful, cosy, and clean. The kitchen was really well equipped and there were few basics such as tea and coffee that were much appreciated. The outdoor space is fantastic and we enjoyed having a coffee on the balcony on a chilly autumn morning!

Stables Cottage really is a home away from home. Fabulous location for outdoor activities such as hiking and mountain bilking but also plenty to explore on wetter days. The property has everything you need and with 3 bedrooms an 3 shower rooms, even if you are travelling with grown up children everyone has their own space and privacy.
We had a problem with a running toilet upon arrival but I cannot fault GNL or the owner for their prompt response when I reached out. An emergency plumber was arranged the following day and the problem resolved.
I would highly recommend this property for anyone wishing for a quiet getaway in the beautiful Cairngorm National Park and would definitely book again.

Stayed at Stables cottage for two weeks. A very comfy and well equipped property. We loved the location and the peace and quiet, but the cottage was close enough to local amenities as well! A secure back garden for the dog which was great, and plenty of outside seating areas. Can recommend!

We had a fantastic week staying in the Stables Cottage which was in pristine condition. The three bedrooms and bathrooms are great for six adults or adults and kids. There are three balconies/patio to use to take in the sun as it moves around. The garden is large and dog secure and gives access to the Forest behind the property. You can sit and chill watching the bird life/squirrels or get out and about into the National Park without taking the car. We walked to Loch Garten and back which is well worth doing. The local cafe and farm shop are well worth a visit and the Village has a Premier Food shop now as well for essentials. The only thing to note is the dining situation for six adults would be tight if the weather didn't allow use of the balcony furniture. But it certainly wouldn't stop us coming back to this great place. Highly recommended.

Great location in a lovely village(Nethy Bridge) with good amenities on the doorstep.
The Stables is the perfect accommodation for walking, cycling or sightseeing . Close to many local towns and villages and Cairngorms. Would definitely book again if visiting the area.

We really enjoyed our 2-week stay in July/August 2024. The cottage was particularly well-equipped and well thought out, a rarity in holiday properties. The ample outdoor seating options and balconies off two sides of the upstairs lounge offered a light, airy space, forest views and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the peace and beauty of the surroundings. The bedrooms were comfortable, spacious and cosys and the ample bathrooms both upstairs and down meant everyone's needs were met.

Great North Lodges were helpful and responsive in resolving any minor issues and the EV charger was convenient and easy to use.

All in all a great stay in a lovely, quiet lodge in our favourite village in the Cairngorms. Will book again.
