This detached cottage was built circa 1850 and its recent renovation has ensured that much of its original character has been retained with the original timber lined walls and granite fireplace. Station cottage has an open plan living with a modern kitchen and cosy lounge and has been tastefully decorated. The focal point in the cottage is the feature stone wall which divides the living areas and houses the wood burning stove.

Station Cottage is a lovely place to stay in a great location. It has character and is well kitted out with good quality furniture and a cosy wood burning stove for those cold evenings. We have stayed there twice now and will return again.



The description of Station Cottage on the website is pretty accurate.

Station Cottage offered me a great base for my trip. It's a clean and well maintained property, the description on the website is pretty accurate. The large enclosed garden provided a fabulous space for my dog to run around in and it was lovely to see the birds on the feeder on the Rowan tree too (take your own bird seeds). Thanks to the office for sorting my one query very quickly, it's great to get good customer service. I've been before, stayed this week on my own and will retun again next month with friends, which says it all.

Comfortable, well-equipped property with rustic charm. Fully enclosed large garden which is ideal for dogs and children. The property is ideally located on the edge of the village but only a one minute walk from cafe and shop. Have already booked a return stay.



Happy enough with our stay. Wanted it for the location to do some birdwatching.

We were very happy with the cottage and location. However, the cushions and blankets on the sofas were smelling of dogs. There was also quite a few dog hairs on the "throw" in the "on suite" room which was a shame. There was a note telling guests not to allow there pets on the sofas but obviously, they had not read it. Other than that, we were very happy with the cottage.

Had a great stay at Station cottage with family and friends for the week.
Open plan living area, plenty space.
En-suite bedroom very nice and bright with French doors to sun terrace.
Family bedroom smells bit of damp, maybe from ceiling in corner, but grandchildren loved all being together.
Having rented several holiday homes over the last few years, Station Cottage could be better equipped in the kitchen, eg storage containers, foil, kitchen roll, more toilet roll etc.
Mattresses in back rooms not very comfortable, but bunk beds were comfy/new.
Great big garden super.
Overall a good holiday home.

This is our second time staying here after trying a few other places in Nethy. The cottage is in a fantastic location and the large garden is perfect for our dog to run and play in.

The cottage itself is lovely and well appointed with everything we need for our stay.

We will be booking again for next year.

Beautiful well equipped property in an idyllic location. Weather was so good that we sat on the decking every evening just relaxing in a quiet area whilst the dog layed on the front lawn watching all the birds going about their business.
Many walks straight from the door, plenty of information on them and others in the cottage.
The only niggle is that the internal door could do with some sort of flyscreen/deterrent to stop the wasps/bees coming in as we didn't want to keep the doors closed in such warm weather...but it didn't spoil our time there and we would thoroughly recommend this property for your vacation the area

Station Cottage was the perfect location and space for our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 kids and dog). The cottage is beautifully decorated and laid out, super clean, with all the home comforts for a relaxing stay. The main bedroom with ensuite shower room and doors onto the large garden was so relaxing, and the kids loved their room with 2 single beds and bunk beds. Location is great, right next to the Speyside way and a stones through from the local farm shop and cafe. Nethy Bridge is the ideal location for accessing a range of activities, loads of forest walks, beaches a drive to the north, Aviemore and the Cairngorms. We hope to be back at Station Cottage another day. Thank you so much :)

A lovely cottage with everything needed for a perfect stay in the Cairngorms. The enclosed garden was a really good size for the dogs and the location was great with plenty of walks nearby. This was our second time booking through Great North Lodges having previously stayed in Boat of Garten. I'd highly recommend this cottage when staying in Nethy Bridge, a beautiful area.

There were 6 of us and two dogs staying at Station Cottage and we all loved it. It is well kitted out for 6 people and is a lovely traditional cottage with stylish interiors. The garden is totally dog proof and Nethybridge is a great place to explore with good dog walks. A brilliant week. Thanks

Just booked again for next year which I think will be our 4th at Station Cottage although we have been going to Nethy Bridge for many years. It is a great location with excellent walks from the doorstep or a short drive away. The village has an excellent cafe so grabbing a takeaway from the cafe is almost too easy ! The shop reopened this year and the local butcher is also excellent. The cottage had everything we needed and was warm, peaceful, comfortable and clean. All you need for a relaxing week in this stunning area.

A lovely location and the cottage was clean and very cosy. Lots of room for the 2 of us and the dogs. The garden was lovely and secure for the dogs.
Let down slightly by the mishmash of crockery, and the lack of storage space for our food in the main living area we rearranged the cupboards slightly so worked around it.
The en-suite bedroom was lovely but again one chest of three drawers where one drawer was almost impossible to open due to lack of handles just let it down. We didn’t use the main bathroom but it looked a little dated and felt cold in comparison to the rest of the cottage which was lovely and warm
We had a lovely week with some great walks from the cottage, and saw lots of wildlife, Aviemore is close enough for eating out and shopping. Big shout out for the lovely man in the very well stocked butchers/deli, who was extreamly helpful and welcoming and stocked some lovely meet/cheese and pies

We love station cottage and have been staying for years, although this year it felt like it was getting a bit tired and needed some money spending on it. For what you pay, it would also be nice to have some basic things included like toilet roll and washing up liquid.. fantastic location, best in nethy and the garden is perfect if you have dogs and children as it’s self contained. We had already booked for next year before we visited this time as it always books up quick, but I suspect it will be our last time if a little bit of money isn’t spent on it as there’s so many other options to rent now in nethy.

The cleaner confirmed that enough toilet roll was supplied to last 24 hours. This was also the case with washing up liquid, firelighters, kindlers, tea bags and coffee. We can’t supply limitless amounts of these items as would be completely cost prohibitive to do so. We have always left enough of the basics to keep you going in case you have forgotten to include in your shopping or your supermarket delivery to the house has been delayed for some reason. We supply limitless logs for the wood burner. We can also confirm that there is always work being carried out to the house as you know being a regular guest. The extension was completed 4 years ago. New windows were installed 2 years ago and new beds and mattresses were put in 2 years ago. We also installed an electric shower in one of the bathrooms last winter so that it was impossible to run out of hot water whilst washing. The plan this winter is to re paint the interior of the house and add some new outside garden furniture next spring. We never stand still and are always looking for ways to improve the guest experience and we therefore always listen to guest feedback.

Station Cottage has a perfect location on the very edge of Nethybridge. Right on the Speyside Way, with walks from the door in all directions. Clean and comfortable, although we could probably have done with a few more plates for a party of 5. Garden is fully enclosed and ideal for families and dogs. Just steps away from a very well stocked farm shop and a nice cafe. Lots to explore in the wider area. Highly recommend the property.

Had a fabulous two weeks staying at Station Cottage ideal location in a quiet beautiful spot it was very clean and had everything we needed our two dogs loved the enclosed garden. Lots of walks to explore around the village with stunning surrounding we will definitely be back and reccomending it to friends and family
