We all had a terrific time at Muckrach house as it is such a wonderful place. Decoration is fantastic, facilities outstanding and the beds were super comfortable. There were 6 children with us and they didn’t want to leave. All in all, we thoroughly the house.
We had a wonderful stay at Glenmore Lodge. The Lodge was warm cosy and luxuriously furnished. It had everything we needed and then some. The views to the Castle are lovely. The Lodge is in an excellent location and within easy reach of local attractions. We will be back.
Spent a week in Coorie lodge , beautiful house . Plenty room for 4 adults & 2 children under 5 & of course our dog . Lovely walks close by & short distance to Aviemore , Loch Morlich , Rothiemurcus . Family loved it they all have bikes so cycled a lot. With having our young grandchildren there we would have benefited from having had a whirly gig to dry clothes & wet suits etc but other than that everything was perfect ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I booked this lodge as I was looking for somewhere that would accommodate all the family for a few days to surprise my husband for his 60th. Tim and Helen were very welcoming and we were lucky enough to see the Aurora on the Saturday night. Having the cafe next door was a bonus and all the grandchildren enjoyed their hot chocolate with marshmallows and Tim’s coffee making demonstration. Wonderful place for family gathering such as ours. Lovely rooms, well appointed and comfortable. Could have done with more attention to amenities (no salt, no soap/body wash in bathrooms etc). Would highly recommend.
An excellent house for a largish group ie 10 people. Beautiful, convenient location with pleasant garden with loads of seats and a super view of the Cairngorms. Kitchen great to cook in with lots of gear. Suggest owners sharpen knives regularly and buy new bowls, too many with worn glaze. Otherwise perfect. GNLs provided excellent and responsive customer service. Note the details say parking for 3 cars. We had 5 cars including 3 SUVs and found parking no problem.
Just after finishing a short week at Speyside Suite ..it was fabulous.. We stay away a fair amount and this property was right up there amongst our favourites... Immaculate..finished really well.. excellently equipped kitchen with all the trimmings.. stunning bathrooms.. again with high quality trimmings..great shower..big fluffy white towels and full size luxury products.. Super dog friendly too we will return here for sure x
This is our second time staying here after trying a few other places in Nethy. The cottage is in a fantastic location and the large garden is perfect for our dog to run and play in. The cottage itself is lovely and well appointed with everything we need for our stay. We will be booking again for next year.
It's just outside Dulnain Bridge, which is around 20mins from Aviemore. It's in a quiet location, with 3 other properties attached to it. The layout was fantastic, the photos on the website don't do it justice. 2 x beds covert into twin / doubles. There was ample towels for everyone, including a small amount of tea / coffee and milk on arrival. There were also logs, firelighters and kindlers to have a fire for at least 2 nights, with more logs available outside. We have been to Beavercreek many times and it never disappoints! We love the location, private, tucked away among the trees but still close enough to Aviemore (walkable distance) to avail of the amenities. There is a lovely woodland walk right on the doorstep and many stunningly picturesque walks around Aviemore. We love coming back to the lodge after a day spent out and about walking and enjoying the hot tub and peaceful surroundings. We will definitely be back again!

This was our first holiday with GNL and it did not disappoint. Bennachie is in a great location to explore Aviemore and the surrounding areas. A short 20 min walk takes you into the centre of Aviemore and all its shops, pubs and restaurants. The house itself is in a quiet location. It is roomy and has everything you could need. The view from this property towards Cairngorm is absolutely stunning and is what attracted me to booking it in the first place. It’s a modern, well equipped property with plenty of bird life and red squirrels in the garden. We stayed during an exceptionally cold spell in June and actually needed the heating on which kept the place warm and cosy. Lovely having the steam railway going past the bottom of the garden and having the hot tub to relax in after a long walk. What a wonderful setting for this amazing cottage. It had everything and more than needed to give us a great week. Massive kitchen/dining area, two lovely big lounges with comfy sofas and log fires in both sitting areas (not that we needed them with 5 sunny warm days). Hot tub, barbecue hut and games room in the garage so it doesn’t really matter what the weather is like. Set in beautiful woodland and 200 metres to the river with its deep pools for swimming and many great walks and cycle tracks. One mile to Loch Insh with watersport centre, restaurant and shop. The mark of a good holiday and accommodation, is would you go again? The answer for Spey Cottage is very definitely yes, especially as we didn’t have the best weather. Great location, all the facilities and an awesome decking area.
Forest trail lodge is a lovely property in an amazing location. It is spacious and light with everything that you could need for your holiday. Nethybrdge is a beautiful and quiet location but within easy access of all amenities. The weather definitely was on our side and we were able to make use of the great outside space. We will definitely be back.
Booked this Lodge reasonably last minute for a much needed break away for the family, Booking process and communications were excellent and clear. Location was great - quiet, peaceful, scenic and far enough away but close enough to civilisation to make any day trip drives short. Added bonus is that local supermarkets will deliver to the lodge - made such a difference - our delivery slot was when we were due to arrive and as we pulled up to the lodge, the delivery van also appeared and within 30 of arrival we were sitting down in the lounge with a drink in our hand, the car empty, the kid...more
No hair-drier. The bins in the shed were crammed full. The bin men did not go into the shed on Wednesday to empty them.
Lovely cottage, very convenient for lots of activities. Short drive from supermarkets etc. really comfortable and well appointed accommodation.
This was our second stay at Heather Cottage, chosen for the space, location and amenities provided, which are much appreciated. Probably a couple of areas would benefit from some refreshing but overall an excellent property and would consider returning in the future.
Me and my friends booked this holiday for the nine of us and it accommodated us perfectly, the house was perfectly clean, great location, and lovely neighbours. I would highly recommend this place to anyone interested and I will definitely be back :)
The place is spacious, beautiful and very well equipped for a large group of guests. Folk music night at the attached pub was excellent. Sound insulation was very good. We didn't hear any pub noises from the lodge, nor did sound carry within the lodge. Overall, highly recommended. We did have a small problem with the heating, but this was fixed quickly. It would have been nice to have a dryer since the weather was bad for drying outside and space was limited in the room with the dehumidifier, but we managed just fine.
The Neuk deserves 5 stars all round . Beautiful property, spotlessly clean & in a perfect location . We stayed last year & enjoyed it so much we rebooked. Neuk is well equipped & the log burner & hot tub added a bit of luxury. Ages ranged from 72 to 9 & it suited all . Would highly recommend.
Location is idyllic, accommodation very comfortable. However, there are a few areas which need to be addressed to maintain the high standard of this accommodation. On arrival the kitchen floor around the sink area was not clean. One of the smaller pots had a burnt base which was black and had not been cleaned. Measuring bowl required cleaning before use. The large frying pan was bevelled on the base and not suitable for purpose. We had a brilliant and comfortable stay at Rivercroft. The house was so well equipped and the welcome pack was such a lovely touch. The house is set in a gorg location with lovely views. Lots of wildlife to see including hares , deer’s and bats. We hope to come back soon.

Black Grouse Lodge ideal for large family group. Lovely garden. Well-equipped kitchen. Superb bathrooms. Only issue the pet hairs in the carpets. You could easily remedy this by asking folk to keep pets to wooden floor areas downstairs and away from sitting room. We're not pet owners or lovers! There was a lot of sneezing!
On the whole this was a fantastic stay in a great location within Aviemore. The only negatives were how tired the accommodation looks, could do with a lick of paint and the leaky radiators could do with being fixed. Of course it adds to the charm of what is obviously a historical property. The open staircase to the rest of the house was quite eery at first! We did find the private garden to be absolutely excellent, and the newer lounge area extension was fabulous. Kitchen was also very well appointed.
We love Red Fox & have stayed here a lot. However could do with a freshen up & some updating, but despite that we’ll be returning. . Fabulous location & view!

We have been coming here for 6 years now, always enjoyed our stay unfortunately this time was a bit disappointing, the hot tub lid was broken causing floaters in water. Grass was uncut and long. Toilet seat in main insult was broken, lights on upstairs landing didn’t work. Ceiling in kitchen showing signs water damage cracked plaster. Fridge compartments missing. Have taken pictures on arrival of these areas for proof. No the house is supposed to be cleaned and inspected before next guest so why was the lodge in this state for ud
We enjoyed staying in Salmon run lodge as its great location and available sauna + hot tub were ideal. However the place is rather run down in places, there’s broken decking between the hot tub and sauna, the shower heads leaked which sprayed water all over the bathroom, the BBQ area was not maintained at all which made it unusable. Having stayed at a few of the other available properties that Great North Lodges have they are a good bit better than this one.
Everything was as I expected. Lovely place to stay. Someone even left their amazon account on the TV so we watched Clarkson's farm when it was raining
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would book again. As very minor points, some areas could have done with a bit attention ie fence and decking being painted and windows could have benefitted from a wash but on the whole, lovely lodge and our family loved staying here.
Glenardle Lodge provided everything we needed (party of nine) for a super family break away for the week. Set in a stunningly beautiful location among much greenery it provides a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Not very clearly marked however, good job we had Google maps! Unfortunately, there were many cobwebs around the rooms, nothing that a feather duster wouldn’t remove in one sweep and one of my children found a small white tablet (medication), a peanut, dog treat and lots of crumbs and dust under the three sofas.
