We all had a terrific time at Muckrach house as it is such a wonderful place. Decoration is fantastic, facilities outstanding and the beds were super comfortable. There were 6 children with us and they didn’t want to leave. All in all, we thoroughly the house.
Cairngorm Cottage is absolutely stunning. Spacious and beautifully decorated, the attention to detail in every room was fantastic. Everything you would need for your stay is provided inside and out. Six adults with three small dogs we had plenty of room to have a relaxing, memorable holiday. Spotlessly clean and very well maintained throughout with a luxurious feel to the whole place. We had a wonderful stay and would thoroughly recommend this beautiful place, thank you x
This was our second visit to Coorie Lodge, and I very much doubt it will be our last. As a family of five (plus one dog), this property has everything we could possibly need. Inside, the property is spacious and finished to a high standard. The garage / games room provides useful storage for bikes, as well as entertainment on rainy days, and the decking and garden are a wonderful place to enjoy the sunshine when it appears. The property's quiet location is also a big positive for us - perhaps a little too far for small children to be able to walk to anything but the drive to Aviemore centre...more
Second time at the property and enjoyed it just as much. Great position for walks around Nethy which is perfect for us and our dog. Walking the local forest trails is magical at any time of day of weather. The property has everything you need with bedrooms and bathrooms feeling very luxurious. Lounge is snug but cozy with the wood burner, smart TV and soundbar. Only negative is the size of the eating area. No tan room for now than two. So either eating on laps or eating out. Not an issue for us but bear in mind if booking for two or three couples.
This was our second stay at Glenmore Lodge. It is a lovely property and furnished to a luxurious level. It has everything that you would require for your holiday. On entry the Lodge was spotless and wonderfully clean. The icing on the cake was the provision of an illuminated and decorated Christmas tree which added an extra sparkle. We must thank the staff that clean and care for Glenmore Lodge for the extraordinary job they do.
Writing to say thank you. We had 15 adults and 16 kids (ages 3 to 10) and found Gulabin Lodge an excellent experience to have such a gathering. The house and grounds provide ample space for games for the children. The kitchen was well stocked. The firepit was a hit and captivated everyone. We were in easy reach of local walks. Nothing was a problem for Helen and Tim and they created a relaxed atmosphere for us to have a wonderful weekend.
The house was comfortable, with ample space both inside and outside , ideal for all of us aged 4 to 67. It is exceptionally well appointed with an abundance of kitchen equipment, everything you could possibly think of. The views are stunning & it is ideally situated to take advantage of all the activities available in the wider Aviemore area.
Absolute legendary place for city escape, especially if you’re from aberdeenshire where there’s not many trees and lots of monotonous granite. Behind the house is a big forest, a great walk. There’s not many places I want to revisit simply because there’s other options to explore, but this one i do. Thanks
We stayed at the Speysuide Suite for a long weekend - the cottage is beautifully furnished and very well equipped. Great views from the lounge windows and convenient for touring the area. I will say though that the bed is defintely not a super king size - it is very short - but other than that it is excellent.
Would highly recommend staying here, the house is in a wonderful location and you immediately feel relaxed and at home. Last stayed here in 2001 and the added extension is perfect, we enjoyed sitting and watching the birds, woodpecker and red squirrel feed from the feeders on the trees, from the windows in this room. Will not be leaving it so long before returning.
Really enjoyed our time at the Old ministers house. Hot tub was great, beds were comfortable and clean, house was within walking distance of the town so no complaints. That's our second time we have stayed at the house as a group and we would do so again.
We loved our holiday at the Suidhe Lodge . The accommodation was spacious , clean and well equipped . The garden was large and secure , ideal for the family and our 2 dogs. The hot tub was well used by us and we used the the bbq , unfortunately I had to clean it before we used it! However I cleaned it after so ok for your next guests. We have stayed in the Aviemore area for many family holidays but never Kincraig. It was great exploring the walking and bike trails nearby. The sports mad boys enjoyed golf at Spey Valley and Boat of Garten courses. Foot golf at Grantown and tennis at Rothiemur...more
Feshiebridge Cottage is a wonderful holiday home. It is very comfortable, well equipped and spacious. We made good use of the hot tub, BBQ hut and games room.
Fabulous house with everything you would need. Owners were very helpful and lovely to deal with! Would stay again!
Great stay again Very attentive and they are always there for you when you call. So important and refreshing
Enjoyed our stay at this quirky cottage. Clean and welcoming for our arrival. Comfy beds and spacious living area. Private enclosed garden area with direct access to footpaths. Great location in beautiful area.
From the minute we walked through the door, we knew that Forest Trail Lodge was a special place. The layout of the house is perfect with access into the forest from the gate in the garden. Beds very comfy and the house has everything you could want for a week's holiday. We were blessed with beautiful weather all week and had a fantastic time. The garden was perfect to relax in and is totally enclosed so safe for kids and pets. We would love to return but understand that the house has recently been sold. If the new owners decide to rent out Forest Trail Lodge as a holiday home we w...more
The Neuk really is a wonderful place to stay. We spent our Christmas here and were not disappointed. The rooms were spacious and aesthetically pleasing. The bath in the master room was a lovely touch . The games/tv room was a hit with elderly kids when they wanted their own downtime. Soaking in the hot tub on Christmas morning before the madness of preparing Christmas dinner for 10 was a dream come true! If the host offered a few bath robes for when using the hot tub and possibly a canopy over the hot tub /outside area (possibly a contracting canopy?) we would have used the ping pong and outd...more
Just got back from a week with the family. Beautiful house and in a perfect location. At the back of the house is woodland and you can walk through the woods in to the centre of Aviemore. The house is a solid build and was ample for our family and two dogs. Lots to explore nearby and the town provides all the amenities you could need. The single beds could do with an upgrade as they are incredibly squeaky and a welcome pack would have been nice. However they are small negatives. We would love to visit it again.
Positioned in Glenmore this was an ideal location for my outdoors mad family. The beautiful Loch Morlich is a short walk away and there are numerous wonderful trails on the doorstep. We enjoyed the peaceful setting and the house and garden are luxurious. Having a hot tub and sauna with wonderful views was amazing. The house is spacious, comfortable and well furnished. Only grumble was a patchy phone signal in the house and as the WiFi kept dropping out we were more 'secluded' than we wanted. However, Aviemore is only a 10minute drive away, Rockiemurchus even closer and with lots to see and do ...more
Heather cottage is without doubt worth five stars in all categories. The location was perfect for us, a 20 minute walk from the town, quiet estate and easy access for local walks. The cottage was fabulous: outdoor space for Al fresco meals and sitting in the sun (we got plenty), and hot tub time. Inside was very spacious for our needs and kitchen had everything I required (Cooked a Sunday roast). It was immaculate and by far the cleanest dwelling I have rented. Every room was spotless.
Stayed with my family (2 adults + 2 kids under 5 years old). Really confortable and clean. Everything worked well. Clear instructions. Excelent location. Fully equiped, including some dish soap, extra garbage bag. (Only didn't include extra toilet paper, salt/olive oil.) I would stay here again!! Fully recommend.
Only one small criticism, and that is the main bathroom is needing a bit of TLC. Apart from that we will be back !
We stayed here for a week with our adult children. This is a lovely house with tasteful decor throughout, luxurious bedding and a fab hot tub. It was immaculately clean and really well equipped with everything you need in a holiday house. We will definitely holiday there again.
Just spent a very relaxing week at Reindeer House. The property is well equipped, clean and very comfortable with a covered hot tub on the decking but the best thing for us was the location. The property sits in an elevated position on the hillside overlooking the river Spey to the hills beyond giving gorgeous views from the decking. Extensive grounds drop down to the road and the Speyside Steam Railway (mature trees blocked the view of the trains but you can hear them chuff past at around 1:55 and see the steam). Sitting on the decking watching the abundant wild birds while sipping a...more
Wonderful location for a surprisingly spacious and beautiful cottage full of charm and ideal for our extended family and dog.
The wonder that is Baddengorm. What a setting, what a great place for our stay in June and the weather behaved as well! Baddengorm is a wonderful property surrounded by Scots pines with a lovely burn bubbling through the grounds. Isolated, but not far from civilisation or the wonderful Cairngorms. A great place to relax and enjoy the company of good friends. We had a great stay. Add in the excellent meals from Speyside Kitchen and the holiday was perfect.
The Croft is located in beautiful surroundings, close to the River Spey. The interior is comfortable and spacious. We have stayed at the property many times, and each time the Wi-Fi has been poor and unreliable. However, during this two-week stay, the Wi-Fi was unusable, with a download speed of just 0.3 Mbps, and the path down to the river was overgrown with knee-length grass. Despite these criticisms, which we communicated to GNL, we have already made another booking in the hope that the issues will be addressed. The GNL staff are very professional and helpful, as are the housekeeping staff.
The property was in a good location and very spacious, easily accommodating a large group. Views were excellent and there was a big garden although it wasn't fully enclosed as states in the description. The kitchen was reasonable stocked with equipment and had 2 fridges and a small freezer. We had a few issues with the hot water and shower temperatures were variable between rooms. The main disappointment was the standard of housekeeping. While it appeared generally clean there were a few issues such as dirty BBQ grill, food left in the freezer, dirty washbasin plug hole and lack of protec...more
We loved the property and the location was superb. However, as previous review in guest book the double bed mattress requires to be changed . Wooden chair in garden broken had to clean the plastic chairs which was not a problem but the garden area could do with a tidy up. The bathroom next to the bedroom in the self contained part of the house had a large crack in the sink and could do with being changed. Overall though it is a great property for a group or family and we will definitely return due to the location and space for our family of eight and two dogs.
The customer service from Great North Lodges was wonderful. We found this lodge on their website and it matched all our requirements. They are happy to allow pets as well (we had 3). From the lodge it is a drive back into the town centre for shopping at Tesco, Aldi or Home Bargains, but you can still walk that distance if you don't need to carry anything back. There's a lovely walk through the woods alongside the A9. It is closer to the Dalfaber estate where there is a co-op, pizzeria and chip shop, and these are within easy walking distance. The bedrooms are all of a good size and all had T...more
Comfortable house with everything you need.Very quiet and peaceful. Few minutes walk from the centre ,advise booking in the restaurants.
Very pleased with stay! Board games - dvd player. Plenty kitchen utensils - dishwasher Dog bowls for dogs Could be doing with a brush for clearing as only hoover available just for general tidying. Location secluded but accessible to near by villages with car and fantastic walks available in local woods yet short drives away to many more! Cupboard door a little loose in kitchen and would be nice with some drawer space in upstairs loft bedroom as we used this for the kids. . Low gate at front of property so kept the dogs more at back of garden with someone always watching the space a...more
The Cabin was ever so sweet, all decorated for Santa coming, very comfortable, clean and cosy. We did enjoy our stay. We did have a problem on Xmas eve when the remote control for fire would not work, my daughters went out and purchased a battery and all was good ... then on boxing day evening we tired to turn fire down and the remote would not work again! we could not understand why this happened as we had only just replaced battery... not knowing what to do we tired to call housekeeping and maintenance ... we could not get an answer... we tired batteries that were in the drawer , eventu...more
Myself and the family had a wonderful time spending Christmas at the lodge, spacious place for 10 people and decent kitchen facilities to cater for a festive feast. The host was easy to contact and readily available to help. There were a few functional issues with the hot tub and showers but these were rectified immediately. Lovely location with skiing, beautiful scenery and local towns nearby. Was a christmas to remember
We had a great stay at the Wolf Lodge, place was clean and location is brilliant. The kids loved the hot tub and we were very comfortable. You can tell when built Wolf Lodge was very very nice, but we felt it looked a bit like it needed some TLC. Only a few issues really, we didn't have enough soace to all eat together on the table, and the kids couldn't explore the woods directly opposite due to the INSANE amount of dog poo. Which wasn't nice to see. We would come again though!
We had a great 3 night stay, very comfortable and clean, sauna and hot tub were so good. It is in a great location too with lovely walks around. Would happily recommend!
