New from 2020, we have a 6 Berth Deluxe Bungalow; Ocean Spray It has been fully refurbished to the same high spec standard as the single and double roundhouses.

This property comprises of 3 bedrooms, 2 with double beds and 1 with two single beds, lounge/dining area with dining table & chairs, settee, flat screen TV, with patio doors leading out to a patio area with picnic bench.

The bathrooms have a double walk-in shower unit, sink and toilet. The main bedrooms having a double bed with wardrobes, dressing table and a flat screen TV, and a large modern fully equipped kitchen with integrated oven, hob & microwave plus a fee standing fridge-freezer.

Stayed here for a few nights with my family of 5, we booked it for a surprise 60th for my dad and had a pleasant stay. I chose this place again having stayed in one of the little huts for 2 with my partner. The space was spacious, clean and comfortable. I would recommend for any families to stay, even in the colder months the rooms are warm and cosy with lovely walks and pubs nearby.

Hermanus really is a hidden gem. Such a beautiful location and views over the dunes. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

The boiler is really annoying, it fires up next to the main bedroom every time someone turns on the hot water.

We are hugely disappointed that we were not informed that neither the bar nor the restaurant would be open, as previously it has been, prior to paying the rest of the fees. Having these facilities on site were one of the main reasons for coming with elderly, disabled parents. I only found out when we went for a drink, found it all locked up and had to ask a maintenance man.

This was our second visit to Hermanus and won’t be the last.
The bungalow was comfortable, very clean and excellently decorated.

We had an excellent stay and were the first to use the Restaurant when it reopened
The accommodation was perfect for us as were the facilities, allowing us choices to cook and stay in or go to local Restaurants

Our only suggestion would be to put a bin in the Bathroom

We had the most relaxing stay at Hermanus with all the normal stresses removed by the beautiful setting.
Wonderful staff and fabulous food at The Highwayman was the icing on the cake.

We had a fantastic time at Hermanus. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and equipped with everything we needed to have a good stay. We ate both in the apartment and in the clubhouse The Highwayman, the bar menu food portions we huge and very tasty, we also had a Sunday Roast which was nice.

We joined in the Quiz on the Wednesday night which was fun for all the family, the compare was really good and funny, we had a great night even though we came last in the quiz!

The outside pool was cold (even on a hot day) as it isnt heated, but we found it was good for a quick dip and used it several times.

There is plenty of room for parking and it was nice to be able to park right outside out accommodation.

The location of Hermanus is fantastic a short walk across the dunes to a great lovely sandy beach. Winterton also has a local shop for supplies a great fish and chip shop i would definitely recommend a little tea room called Poppy's and a lovely pub the Fisherman's Return.

Hermanus is a little treasure. Stunning location, perfect accommodation and lovely staff. The only thing lacking is entertainment for the older kids ie pool table and/or amusements.

We love staying here. It’s a quiet location looking out to the sea and just a 5 - 10 minute walk to the beach over the dunes or by path if mobility is difficult. There is a clubhouse which serves fresh home cooked food at a reasonable price and we ate there a lot with our family who all love it. There is a lovely bar looking out to the sea, what a view!
The staff are great too and know their customers.
We stayed in a deluxe bungalow and it was spacious and spotless.
Winterton on Sea is a great village and a lovely location.
