We were a family group of 8 age ranging from 9 to 70 we stayed in Spray and Sunset, All the staff at Hermanus are helpful and friendly, it is such a welcoming place to be, there is nothing negative to say will definitely return.
After visiting the complex many many years ago, my partner and myself decided to book 2 nights for a relaxing time near the sea. I can honestly say, it delivered everything we had hoped for. The roundhouse was lovely and clean with excellent views out to sea. The accommodation was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a nice meal in the bar and used the lovely on site pool. The site was lovely and peaceful and the location is superb. We will be back again next year!
Had a excellent time, stayed for one week, the accommodation was clean and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen. We hired towels they were super soft and good value. Will be back.
Fully equipped property excellent but we did find the settee and armchairs slightly uncomfortable. The location is excellent situated above the sand dunes with sea view. The dunes are across the car park and fantastic for dog walking.
Second time in six weeks. We love it here. Excellent location. Spotlessly clean and great value for money.
We absolutely loved our few days staying here. The staff were all helpful and the restaurant was brilliant! It was great having a pool and park on site for my daughter to enjoy. The views were stunning, it was very relaxing. We will definitely be looking to return next summer.
Very nice weekend in winterton . My roundhouse was fine although found the shower confusing. Ate with family on one evening ,the meal was not that good and so we dibnt go back although the whitebait starter very nice
We have been staying about twice a year for nearly 14 years. We love the location and the little roundhouses. We were disappointed that there were no local beers available at the bar
We have just returned from another fantastic holiday in Winterton on Sea. As always we stayed at the Hermanus staying in one of their deluxe bungalows. The property was beautiful, very clean and modern with everything you possibly need for a lovely holiday. The Hermanus is a beautiful site, with plenty of amenaties, very clean and quiet abd the staff are lovely and always very helpful if you need anything. We enjoyed our stay in the lovely roundhouse,such a peaceful location with lovely views,we had 2 other roundhouses for family members who also enjoyed their stay, an ideal base for visiting places nearby, would highly recommend to friends.
We have been coming here for years but found Roundhouse 29 a little run down with lead falling off windows & quite dirty in side had to scrub shower head before we used it shower mat grubby so did not use that
Always love coming to Hermanus for a lovely quiet getaway lovely location and very welcoming staff, food is always well prepared by the main man Spike, the Roundhouses are always very clean and you get fantastic views from the bedroom window, love waking up and seeing the sea, even some of the locals make you feel very welcome and that’s why we return time and time again, see you in September !!
Can't fault the bungalow was very spacious and could even see the see. The location of the park is amazing a short walk to the beautiful village and a lovely walk across the dunes to the outstanding beach, young girl at reception was very friendly and welcoming, can't wait to return
The Zephyr is a lovely 2 bedroomed round house , it doesn’t allow pets which is great for us as our grandson suffers with asthma . I did have to move some bits of furniture as one if the boys had lost a small toy and nothing had been moved to sweep under ! But on the whole clean and plenty of cooking equip and utensils The position is great . Space for the boys to play. There is a small play park, an outdoor pool both great. Our round house worked fine apart from the shower that was very hit and miss Our evening meal on one night was not great and so we didnt return

Arrived a little late due to traffic, had a phone call from reception who arranged that we could pick up the key to the roundhouse from a coded box, so full marks to staff for customer care. The roundhouse was clean and fresh, there was a small welcome pack with a few essentials ( tea bags, biscuits, washing up liquid etc). We made use of the Highwayman restaurant/pub a few times, the quality of food was excellent. Yet again another short break for me and my husband at Hermanus Holidays Winterton. Up early every morning for a good walk then visiting family for a catch up over a mug of tea and a bacon roll in Great Yarmouth.. We enjoyed the short break having time away from home to have wonderful beach walks, topping up our energy, reading books and-as it was so warm-swimming in the sea. We hope to plan a short visit again next month once Grandchildren are back at school.
Our stay in the double roundhouse was lovely as ever, the only downside of our weekend was the really uncomfortable pillows, they were like slabs of rock, usually we bring our own pillows but totally forgot. The roundhouses are the perfect place to stay and the views are awesome

We stayed in the Ocean Aire cottage as the double roundhouse we normally like to stay in was unavailable. We were a little worried that the ocean aire cottage would not be up to the standard of the roundhouses - but when we actually went into the cottage it was brilliant. It was clean, the layout was fantastic - everything you could possibly want was there. We had a wonderful time at Hermanus holidays. The chalet was very spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect for walking to the beach or the local village. There was enough green space for the children to run around. The bar and restaurant also served great food.
My family stay at Hermanus every year and have done so for the past 11 years . It is always a pleasure to stay here. The accommodation is good . The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to help you. Hermanus is ideal if you want a holiday that’s peaceful and relaxing. Hopefully will be there again next year and for many more.
All the family enjoyed their stay, from 2 year old to grandparents. Chalet large, but basic in places. Only one usable electric socket in kitchen so had to unplug kettle to use toaster. No lighting close to beds so difficult if need to get up. Large bathroom so shower cubicle could be installed instead of using one over bath. No shaver point in bathroom or upstairs toilet. More storage needed in bathroom Staff excellent, welcoming and helpful. Good food in restaurant. Excellent location
We had the loveliest weekend staying in this beautiful round house. The house itself was so well designed, spacious, comfortable everything inside had been chosen with care and detail and quality, the beds were absolutely amazing so comfy .I would love to know what make the mattresses are.. The site was so clean and tidy I didn't see one piece of litter. We are returning customers and have stayed here quite a few times over the years. We love the site. We had lots of green space around our bungalow and it felt very secluded. The bungalow was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The restaurant still has great food and the Sunday lunch is a must! The location is perfect, as we have kids and dogs. Great Yarmouth isn't too far away either, as well as Hursty's Farm, which offers a lot of family fun. We will definitely be back without a doubt!

The chalet was very clean & comfortable and perfectly situated for walking the dog. The food in the family restaurant was excellent, the best we had during our holiday. Very dog friendly site, nice to be able to take them in to the restaurant as well. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Parking was right outside the chalet. Really enjoyed our stay.
Absolutely wonderful stay. The accommodation was first class. Bright, clean and very comfortable. Would highly recommend. The only addition we would have liked was a soft broom to sweep the sand rather than having to get the heavy hoover out and some hooks for our towels/bath robes on the back of the doors. Excellent location. Very well cared for site. We will definitely be back.
The Chalet was beautiful, clean with everything you would need for comfort. It was well presented, and spacious, which made it feel like a home. The grounds outside was perfect for little ones to play safely. The facilities of a swimming pool and children’s area were extremely clean and well looked after. I would highly recommend Hermanus holidays, as your friend the staff very friendly and extremely helpful.
A 4 night stay for 3 generations ticked the box kids loved the pool and no time limit in the water friends had another 7 birth which had been modernised we were a bit envious
My partner purchased additional internet capacity “premium” for £5 but there was no access so this was poor. In addition, there was no watchable TV which, whilst I appreciate your explanation that this is to do with poor reception because of the weather, should be addressed through either a cable or internet option. Otherwise, lovely as always!
From the moment we arrived at reception, we knew we had picked a great place to stay. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, making sure we had all the information we needed and checking whether we had stayed before. When we arrived at the bungalow, we were delighted to find it was in a lovely sunny spot with parking for both of our cars. Chalet comfortable and clean but some checks needed eg no cereal bowls ! Rather old fashioned fireplace , good job we didnt need fire on as no guard . Pool and playarea excellent and well kept , shame smoking area so close though . The saturday fun day very disappointing, £3 for 10 mins on a tiny bouncy castle , small gift stalls , not actually much for the children at all . The army cadet display was frightening for young children . Hog roast looked lovely but again young children wouldnt eat . We left and headed for Mcdonalds I m afraid .
Arrived during the heatwave. Upstairs was very hot as blinds and curtains had been left open and we arrived late afternoon. There were no fans. Both toilets were downstairs and all 3 bedrooms upstairs, an issue for me in particular. No hairdryer or bedside lamps. Otherwise agreeably impressed with very high standard of cleanliness and furnishings. Pool heated?? I don’t think so
The location and view are excellent and the pool was a bonus. The amount of cutlery and glasses was way too small and the wine glasses minuscule and no beer glasses. We had friends visit and to have only 4 of each item was not enough. The accommodation was tired with a very ancient electric fire which was a throwback to the 70s . The bungalow just needs redecorating ,some TLC and updating. If this was done I’d revisit. The restaurant was excellent, service and food were extremely good.
