Our charming roundhouses, all recently refurbished, are ideal for a short break, romantic weekend or special celebration in an idyllic coastal setting.

Roundhouses comprise a double bedroom, lounge/kitchen and bathroom, and are double-glazed, centrally heated and tastefully decorated throughout. They’re fully furnished, with a flat-screen TV in both lounge and bedroom.

The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need for self-catering, including an electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge.

Each roundhouse has a modern shower room, now with a roomy walk-in shower.

Electricity and bed linen are included, but you do need to bring your own towels.

We had an excellent stay as always great location friendly staff and locals to have a chat we don't use the car as we prefer walking to places and had two lovely walks one to Caister and a coastal walk the weather was nice we saw a herd of red deer and a short eared owl whilst walking along the dunes.

The roundhouses are in a fantastic location, with uninterrupted views over the dunes in a great little village. Always clean, well equipped & warm, even in the middle of winter, with friendly, helpful check in. The location is wonderful.

Our two night stay was wonderful at Winterton. Such a lovely location right by the Dunes. The heating was on upon our arrival and we were very grateful for this, being a January break it was very chilly outside. Thank you for the washing up liquid, sponge and cloth, tea, coffee, etc.
We have already recommended you to friends.
The carpark passes for our dayvisitors was a nice touch too.

Amazing location overlooking the dunes with fabulous views. Very clean & well equipped accommodation. Friendly, helpful staff. The village has everything you need, a great pub, lovely cafe, fish & chip shop & a well stocked shop. Miles of beautiful beaches on your doorstep & a beach cafe too. What’s not to like ! I have stayed at Hermanus several times, in a single & double roundhouse & also a chalet, I highly recommend all of them. No doubt I shall be back

Fabulous place to stay. The roundhouses are clean, well equipped & in a great location overlooking the dunes. Easy check in with a key safe & there’s a lovely lady on reception. Close to a pub, shop, cafe & fish & chip shop. My 4th stay, highly recommend & I will be returning.

3 night break October. Lovely having a sea view. The house is quirky and comfortable just the bedroom bit small but that was ok. Every thing provided utensil wise very clean would definitely come again.
Only criticism is the clubhouse not open or restaurant so they should of probably reduced it a bit.

This was the second time we have stayed in a round house at Hermanus overlooking the dunes and sea. The houses are a bit different and well equipped. We enjoy them and would go again.

Our stay was for two nights in these quirky buildings, which made our stay interesting and good photo opportunities. Bonus to have the pool and great location with sea view - and very close to the sea! On the whole the accommodation is fitted out well but for the cost of the accommodation and if I was staying longer I would expect towels to be included and more in the way of kitchen stock (Otherwise you end up washing up a lot!). Of course you have the option to eat on site and at the excellent village fish and chip shop and pub.

We had a really enjoyable 4 day break at no.18 again having stayed in the same roundhouse last year. A lovely view from the roundhouse across the dunes and out to sea - if you're up early enough you can also catch a good sunrise. The roundhouse is
extremely comfortable with everything you need for a break. The only thing that we would say is that it would be handy to have a
wall clock and a little bathroom unit for toiletries. That's only an observation certainly not a criticism. Anybody staying in a roundhouse should a a great stay. Location is absolutely perfect.

Would certainly recommend the bar and restaurant. Good choice in both and food is very reasonable. Well presented and tasty.

Staff in all areas, reception, bar and restaurant very friendly.

Would certainly recommend and we'll be staying again next year.

This was our first time at Hermanus. We stayed at one of the single roundhouses overlooking the dunes. It was a lovely spot and several times we walked over the dunes to the beach. Some parts of the site were shabbier than others but the roundhouses look as though they've been refurbished and ours was in very good shape and comfortable.

We made use of the outdoor pool, children's play area and the bar. I have to say that all the staff we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful and my correspondence with Hermanus leading up to our stay was always efficient and friendly.

Winterton-on-Sea is a lovely village with an excellent pub for eating (The Fisherman's Return), a nice village store/Post Office and tea rooms and a convenience store. If you have a car, it's a great base for exploring further along the coast or the Broads, many of which are within 15-30 mins drive. There is also a public bus that goes along the coast but we didn't try it this time.

I'd heartily recommend staying at Hermanus and we hope to visit again.

Very pleasant stay. Accommodation is excellent in general. Everything you need - some issues with the bed as have to climb in and over partner! Very comfortable bed though.
Staff very polite and helpful and lovely surroundings.

Well maintained and surprisingly roomy . We stayed two nights and had everything we needed for a short stay. So close to beach and had some lovely walks. Cannot comment on restaurant and pool as did not use.

Pretty good as usual, nice to see work done after the fire at the centre. Good food, although at £7 a dessert too pricey.
Staff in restaurant and elsewhere friendly, polite and helpful.
We were having another reunion, our family plus friends and family (we met back in the early eighties at Hermanus and continued for many years spending Whitsun week there.). In total a party of 19. However the bulk of our party were there from Friday until Bank holiday Monday and would have liked to spend their last evening together in the bar/restaurant which unfortunately was closed, which was disappointing.
We had several meals in the restaurant and one where all 19 of us were together, the members of staff (mostly younger folk).very patient and good humoured considering there were a lot of requests etc. so a big thank you to them

Well worth a visit. Lovely accommodation with views out over Winterton Valley and sea beyond. Will definitely be back in warmer weather. The only downside being no bar or restaurant on site in the Winter Season but Fishermans Return is only a short stroll away and Poppy's Tea Room in the village. Good for walking along the valley and beyond. Would highly recommend.

These round huts are beautifully located almost on the beach and with a fabulous view of the sea. The property was clean and mostly comfortable. However, the bedroom is tiny and the bed was pushed right up against the wall. This made getting up in the night tricky and led to me banging my head on the wall as I turned over. It also means that there is no bedside table which was inconvenient. The bedding was clean but tired and the curtains had some rips in which was a shame. For the cost I think we would also have expected a coffee tray as we have often had in other and less expensive accommodation. The sitting area was comfortable and more spacious and the bathroom had a lovely sized shower stall but I'm not sure we could manage a week long stay given the size of the bedroom. I have said that I would recommend this accommodation mostly for its wonderful location but we probably wouldn't book it again for us.

The Roundhouse is perfectly located with excellent views looking out over the dunes onto the sea.

The facilities at Hermanus are very good, and the redecorating in the reception area its is very good.

I have stayed a number of times over the years and is always our first choice, enjoy the peace and quiet.

Food on site is good and the staff are very nice

Looking forward to coming back in October.

This has been our second stay and we love it here. Perfect location and the roundhouse is always clean and tidy on arrival. The only downside is the check out time - 9.30, especially on a Sunday, is very early to have to be up and gone. Even 10am would be much better. We requested a slightly later check out time but they said there was no way they could accommodate that, but we sat on a bench outside for an hour and had a coffee afterwards, and didn’t see any cleaning staff enter the property, and so it feels unreasonable that this request was denied. But apart from that, it’s a great place and everyone is really helpful in the lead up to booking.

Bedroom set-up not ideal but understand that nothing can be done about this. Drainage system needs attention as for two of our four day stay there was a strong smell coming from the kitchen area. In this day and age the rondels now need to have Wi-Fi connections available.
Having given this constructive criticism we really enjoyed our stay to relive childhood memories. Thank you
