Our charming roundhouses, all recently refurbished, are ideal for a short break, romantic weekend or special celebration in an idyllic coastal setting.

Roundhouses comprise a double bedroom, lounge/kitchen and bathroom, and are double-glazed, centrally heated and tastefully decorated throughout. They’re fully furnished, with a flat-screen TV in both lounge and bedroom.

The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need for self-catering, including an electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge.

Each roundhouse has a modern shower room, now with a roomy walk-in shower.

Electricity and bed linen are included, but you do need to bring your own towels.

I have visited Hermanus for the last 10 years or more
The houses are a delight, clean and always warm
I bring the dog and we are straight on to the dune valley and 3 minutes from the beach
Winterton is a small picturesque village but only 8 miles from Great Yarmouth and near Norwich

Just come back from another 3 night stay which we enjoyed as usual. Pleased to see that the sofa had been replaced and it was much more comfortable. Had 2 meals in the bar very enjoyable and good value. Looking forward to our next stay.

We still love this place, it’s just got everything we need for our dog friendly holiday. Fantastic location, great staff, and my husband even had a dip in the pool this time.
We are hoping to bring our older children and their partners next yr , and try out a couple of the dog friendly Bungalows.

We stayed in one of the dog-friendly roundhouses, along with our two border collies, for the second August running. Despite the unseasonably chilly weather (which improved towards the end of our four-night stay) we were warm and cosy in our accommodation due to the effective heaters. The roundhouse itself is small but perfectly formed, with enough space for two people and two reasonably large dogs. Parking was directly behind, which was greatly appreciated. While the well-sized kitchen area was well-equipped and more than adequate for our needs (though you might want to bring a cafetière with you if you enjoy ground coffee in the morning). The shower room is bright and modern, with a large shower cubicle. The bedroom space is tight, with just enough room for a double bed and a wardrobe. The park itself is very well designed, with a range of accommodation to suit most needs. It’s not like standard holiday parks - much of the accommodation is laid out like a suburban estate, rather than every property being cheek by jowl, and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. Staff are friendly, very welcoming and extremely accommodating, and it’s clear that Hermanus is highly regarded, as repeat custom is common. Winterton beach is a five-minute walk across expansive, stunning dunes that boast unusual plants, some beautiful stunted oak trees and gorgeous views. The beach itself is accessible next to the beach car park, down a broad, soft and sandy route that would be difficult for those relying on any form of wheels to get around. Once there, the beach is beautiful, with broad vistas and masses of space, even on the busiest days, and is dog-friendly year round, though there are certain areas best avoided due to the abundant wildlife that call the place their temporary home. Beach facilities near the car park include toilets and outside tap, and there is a popular outdoor cafe catering to a range of tastes. Winterton-on-Sea itself is pretty and unspoilt, with a good general store, a pub, a post office stores/tearoom and a fish and chip shop, plus an impressive church that is well worth a visit. Beyond the village there are many things to do, with seal-watching, wildlife parks, fireworks displays, a Roman fort, and wildlife cruises among the options for entertainment. However, if you’re just looking to relax and spend some time on the beach, you won’t feel hemmed in at Hermanus - it really is a holiday park that puts relaxation and comfort at its heart.

Great stay as usual, love coming to stay in the Round Houses. The sofa was much better this time than on a previous stay’s in a different R/H. Hopefully they will all get replaced eventually with the newer ones.

We enjoyed our stay at Hermanus. Just a couple of points:-
The heating was fabulous
The chalet was lovely and clean
The bed comfortable but no space to get out on one side is an issue
The settee was absolutely awful and very uncomfortable
The outside approach to the main facilities and reception are so very dull and uninviting

Well I decided to take a 2nd long weekend break of the year & take my girlfriend along with our 2 dogs. We enjoyed the peace & quite this place has to offer, along with the cleanliness of the roundhouse - it's always a delight to come back & I'm sure we will be visiting Hermanus for many years to come. We have stayed in these roundhouses a couple of times now. The extra touch of some washing up liquid and some cloths, as well as some sachets of tea and coffee, made such a difference. We don't tend to eat at home whilst we're away but having the oven, along with a microwave and toaster, means that we have that option. We were originally invited by friends and have since invited others. Last time there were 9 adults and 5 dogs. We all had a great time and look forward to coming back later in the year.

Dog was thrilled to be right on the dunes with ready access to the beach. Facilities were good in the accommodation, the shower was good and the towel pack provided brand new towels.
It was all very clean and tidy although the sofa was dreadfully uncomfortable. We used the two dining chairs to watch TV in the evening. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Sadly no other facilities were available, not even the bar, as it was the end of March. Must be lovely when it's all open.

Wonderful time with Hermanus, as always. You can rely on high level of cleanliness, excellent customer service, with very welcoming, helpful staff. Gorgeous location and excellent value for money. To me, it’s a resort that is either pet friendly or not.
We couldn’t take our small dog anywhere we’re there we’re carpets. We couldn’t go in the bar where the nice cows were nor could we go in the restaurant bar where there were carpets. Why have carpets in a pet friendly location. Why not have wood floors everywhere so pet people can join in.
Also the green in front of our round house was covered in dog poop. My wife cleaned it all up so that we could cross in the dark without taking poo back into our villa.

We did have a lovely stay, a pair of socks (not ours)were found in room which were covered in dust and mattress and pillows were not very comfy. However we felt no.25 was well equipped and warm, we ate at the highwayman one evening, food was perfect, service was excellent too.

Our first time here. A retired couple in our 70's with a 1 yr dog and first impressions were good. The single roundhouse much as expected and clean and well fitted. We had anticipated from the floor plans that the double bed could be accessed only from one side, so that was not a surprise.

Roundhouse 25 is not on the front row but is well situated to the side of the pool with a grass meadow dotted with picnic tables. Even had restricted view of the sea. Also easy walking to the local pub and village although with access road slopes if your mobility is restricted by COPD as mine is, so an an electric bike helped me.

We knew that there would be no salt, pepper, oil, washing up liquid, etc provided so bought our own. There was a sponge, an j cloth. Our only niggle was that the fridge door racks were missing so no room for bottles, milk unless laid horizontally in the fridge and inevitably the milk leaked.

Weather was good and food and staff in the newly reopened clubhouse friendly and efficient. Restaurant has a hard floored dog friendly area.

We have been to Herman's 4 times.
Always clean and beautifully presented.
Quiet and secluded with sea views to die for.
We have always recommended the site to friends and family, in fact, someone asked us to get some information for them. We were given a full price list for this year as soon as we asked.
We will be back later this year for a weekend or a holiday. Thank you Hermanus and the cheerful and helpful staff.

Brilliant welcome from gentleman on reception who took time to recommend places to visit & telephoned me to let me know when Roundhouse was ready (arrived very early not expecting to be able to check in but wanting to leave car in car park in order to explore). Roundhouse very clean & well appointed. Had drink and meal in restaurant on second night, food great & all staff lovely.
