The property was perfect..plenty of room, and the view over the harbour from the lounge and the upstairs bedroom was amazing!
The roads are quite narrow, which can be a problem if meeting oncoming traffic. It is also quite hilly, so we definitely got our steps in!
The allocated parking space is on the other side of the harbour, about a 10 minute walk from the house but that was fine (we could see the car from the house). We had no problems parking (although it does require driving through a slightly pedestrianised road with outdoor seating for a pub and restaurant).
We loved the area…Will definitely return to Brixham in the near future and would happily stay at Sandy Bottom again

Lovely stay in nice accommodation.
Great view of the harbour.
It was nice having a parking space not far from accommodation.

Really loved staying at Sandy Bottom, the view from Living room and main bedroom was amazing, could sit in the window for hours just watching the world go by, woke up really early the first day and watched the sunrise, it was beautiful. Loved seeing the baby seagulls on the roofs around us, although it seemed it was almost common place for them to fall from the roofs and be found wandering the streets , luckily the locals seemed more than used to dealing with them and keeping them safe. House was well equipped. Having the car parking space was really useful although a little tricky to park in, not really suitable if your car is on the bigger side (ours is a ford focus which was fine ) , there are quite a few steps down to the harbour and then a little walk over to the car so only really suitable for people who are able to walk that distance, although you can see the car from the house. Lots of great places to eat in Brixham . Had a lovely time will definitely visit again

Second time we have stayed at Sandy Bottom. Although it is up hill from the harbour, it’s not too far up, but far enough to get a great view, and easy downhill walk to the town, bus station, and the beach. The house is well equipped with everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay.

The cottage is in a fantastic location, overlooking the harbour and so providing a wonderful view.

The cottage has been lovingly furnished with lots of seaside touches. It had everything we needed, plus more.

We enjoyed our stay at sandy bottom the view of the harbour was fantastic loved sitting in the evening looking at the view




Only few negatives no washing up liquid or dishwasher tabs so all the pots were greasy had to re wash them and the upstairs shower needs a new head

We love beautiful Brixham and had to make a last minute change to our accommodation due to building works that were still ongoing at our original booked property. we were not disappointed. Brixham Holidays came to the rescue. Lovely cottage in a great location also a reserved parking space which is a must for me after having a replacement hip operation and having a dodgy knee. Lots of stairs in the cottage which we are not used to as we live in a bungalow but this being Brixham you have to walk up the many steps if you want fantastic veiws (Small price to pay for the views just take your time.) Can't wait to return next year.This is our happy place. We were also very lucky with the beautiful weather.

We have stayed in Sandy Bottom for 2 consecutive years and thoroughly enjoyed both stays. The home is comfortable with excellent facilities, outdoor space and great views, what more could we ask for!

Thank you for your review, Sandy bottom is lovely with great harbour views and as you said a good size outdoor area. The pirate festival this year I thought really good and the weather helped. We look forward to seeing you again next year if not before.
