We booked 5 nights in the Penthouse for a short early season break. It was definitely the right decision to book it as it was a wonderful place to stay. The interior is very bright and modern with everything you need to feel like home from home. We had to turn the heating off quite a bit as although we stayed in February, the place was really warm inside. The views have to be the best in Brixham. The parking was quite tight and not easy to turn into the small cave space opposite the penthouse but it is do-able. We have a VW Polo which was ok but anything bigger would have been a struggle. Once inside the building there are quite a few flights of short stairs to the top and then another when you get inside the front door too. If you are ok with this, it is well worth staying there. We called into the We only have positive feedback and will definitely be booking again. We Highly recommend it.

The Penthouse had the most stunning views of the harbour and out to sea. It was equipped with everything we needed to ensure we enjoyed our stay and we couldn't fault the level of cleanliness. It was a joy to sit on the balcony and look out at the boats coming and going and also eating out at the local bars and restaurants.
Location was fantastic being right in the harbour and situated mid-level, the walk down to the shops and bars wasn't too strenuous!
We had a lovely week and would be very happy to return to the Penthouse!

Fourth timing staying here in around 6 years, never fails to wow us with it's amazing views and full length balcony. Brixham itself gets better every time we visit we more options of eateries appearing all the time. Highly recommend!

Beautifully presented flat but such a noisy area we only stayed 2 nights out of 7!

The flat was beautifully presented, very modern and clean and the views of the harbour were stunning. However we did not know that Brixham is home to the largest fish market in England so there is 24 hour noise. Noise comes from the fish market generators, fishing boats and lorries. Also because of the shape of the harbour, Brixham town is like an Amphitheatre so any noise in the harbour is really loud; Fishermen mending their boats with drills and hammers, motorbikes, road sweepers, music, shouting etc. We have never stayed anywhere with so much noise.
The flat itself was beautiful, however the communal stairs are extremely unpleasant to walk up due to the smell of urine and smoke. Even in the flat we can smell smoke and our throats were dry and sore as a result.
We could not stay more than 2 nights out of the 7 booked.
This is our only summer holiday and we went to Brixham for a rest, unfortunately that wasn't possible.

I visited the property after your review. I could not locate the smell of urine that you mentioned. The apartment block is a mixture of private residences and holiday lets. It is possible if one of the other flats ’ occupants smokes that a smell could on occasion permeate the communal stairwell. However, on all my visits to the apartment, I have never seen people smoking in communal areas. Whist was very sad to hear that you were overly affected by the location of the property in relation to the working harbour Information about Brixham is readily available on the Internet. The Penthouse has several regular guests who enjoy its full-width balcony and stunning views. The property is non-smoking. Brixham is a working fishing port, and the fish market operates 24 hours a day. The port is home to one of the largest fishing fleets in the UK. The team here at My Brixham Holiday all live locally and are happy to chat through the property options available on a guest’s chosen date. In your case, we would probably have suggested staying on the Cove which is a 15-minute stroll into the harbour basin on the Fishcombe side of Brixham. We had a brilliant holiday at the Penthouae.. Beautiful accommodation and great facilities in the apartment. The views were spectacular.
Only negative was the horrendous smell on the way up the communal stairs to get to the apartment. But once in the apartment there is no smell.
We will definitely return.
