My husband and I booked a winter stay with our dog Luna at the beginning of December. The Stable was warm and cozy when we arrived and had everything we needed. It’s in a great location with St.Ives just a 10 minute drive away and close to a variety of lovely beaches for dog walks and getting some much needed fresh air. Russell is a great host and we will definitely be back in the spring.

A lovely peaceful stay in a great location, the stable was very well equipped & had everything we needed. After getting caught in the most torrential rain it was lovely to come back to somewhere warm & cosy! Thank you for the delicious afternoon tea & the dog treats.
The bus service was very also very handy to use to get into St Ives during the day time.

Russell kindly agreed to accept me, my husband and 4 dogs very last minute. The property had everything you needed and was a good size for us all.
The enclosed picket fence was perfect for us and the dogs to be able to sit outside and enjoy the sun.
Very peaceful location.
Would definitely recommend

Russell & Melanie are great hosts and have made sure you want for nothing.
The Stables are in a great location with stunning views and our dog Rolo loved the field to chase his ball.
A handy bus service means that it’s cheap and easy to get to St Ives and back, if you don’t want to take the car. This is our second visit and we will definitely be back. Thanks for letting us stay.

My husband and I had an amazing week staying in The Stable. It was comfortable, clean and had everything you needed….including biscuits and treats for our dog. The location is great with lots of walks straight from the door and ideally located for exploring the glorious Cornish coastline. Russell was always available if we had any questions and the homemade scones on arrival were much appreciated. I would definitely recommend this lovely holiday cottage and hopefully we will return for another visit in the very near future!

The property was immaculate inside (thanks Emma) and lovely to walk into, surprisingly spacious (we stayed in the stable). We had fun in the games room with table tennis and snooker for our use. The goats weren't too impressed with us oldies, but I'm sure they would play nicely for any kids that visit.

The walks around seemed nice, although we confess we struggled with some of the stone stiles as being from Norfolk, we're not used to climbing of any description! Given a longer stay and better weather, I'm sure we would have found some nice walks to suit us a bit more.

The communication right up to arrival was outstanding and was much appreciated. We were left to our own devices, which suited us fine, but we knew that if we needed anything, help would be available.

Overall, a fabulous, immaculately clean place to stay in an outstanding location. Definitely recommended and will return. Thank you.

We had a great time visiting family who were staying next door. Very good location but it was a shame that the bus stopped on Saturday and it was pouring with rain. However, the accommodation was cosy and comfortable and well equipped; ideal for two and a big dog.The delicious scones left for us were a lovely treat. Loved the goats too. Would highly recommend it you want to be in a peaceful location.

located within walking distance of St Ives but also has a regular bus service every hour.
Stable was clean and tidy, perfect for two people and a dog.

We had a lovely holiday in the stable, we had everything we needed and all was clean, fresh and very welcoming. We love the area and were pleased to find such great accommodation away from the hustle and bustle but so convenient for St.Ives and beyond! We really enjoyed the patio and seating and although we didn’t have the best of weather we spent a lot of time relaxing out there it was so peaceful! We were kept well informed leading up to our holiday and a query we had whilst staying was dealt with promptly and happily by the owners. We will be returning!

We have stayed at the property 1st week of July 2024, came across this fab place on Facebook in one of the Cornwall & Devon groups. So glad we did, first contact was by phone - Russell the owner was really informative and helpful and that was reassuring to go ahead with booking.
Once reservation was made flow of informative emails landed in our Inbox; from direction to recommended places to eat and much more.
We have enjoyed our stay, location of the farm is central and with easy reach of St Ives, great beaches and walks.
The property is within a courtyard of other 3 buildings with front door parking and fenced off patio areas for each cottage. Weather at the property might be changeable but because they are on the hill over the hill there is always sun! So don't be sad when you wake up and see those clouds - there is sun just mile down the road.
Accommodation itself has everything you might need, from fully equipped kitchen to comfortable living space and bedroom - the Cornish air is something will help you fall a sleep in no time - we already miss that!
Russell is very much on hand and always helpful and chatty.
We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family and anyone considering making a booking don't delay you won't be disappointed!

Wonderful few days at The Stable. Great directions from the owners and useful information about walks and local bus. Easy walk to St Ives so didn’t have to worry about parking.
Accommodation had everything we needed, was very clean and cosy. Comfortable bed TV had good reception and wi-fi had good signal.
Russell and Melanie obviously take great pride in looking after the whole complex keeping it very tidy.
Definitely highly recommend.
Not sure I should be saying this but found this on Airbnb but booked direct with Trevalgan Farm Holidays at a cheaper rate.

We discovered Travalgan in 2017 and have stayed in The Stable at least 8 times since, sometimes twice in one year, so something about it clearly works! The accommodation is perfect for a couple and our bearded collie is warmly welcomed too. The property itself features everything you could possibly need in a holiday let and to a very comfortable and good quality standard. Surrounding scenery and views are stunning and excellent for dog walking. Russell and Mel are super hosts.

This was our first visit to St Ives and the farm was recommended to us by our neighbours. Communication from Russell & Melanie both prior and during our stay was first class with everything we required. Being on a farm the location was ideal for our small dog and the cottage was clean and well appointed. Thoroughly recommended for anyone visiting the area.

We really love the setting and accommodation provided at Trevalgan Farm Holidays. Last October we stayed in their Lanhydrock(sleeps 5), and most recently in March we booked the Stable(sleeps 2).
Now I’m really fussy, and can usually find fault with something but I find everything provided by Trevalgan Farm Holidays is just perfect for us and our dog.

On both visits we have found the accommodation spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The kitchens are amply supplied with all the equipment you need for self catering.

Little extras like the welcome cream tea, fresh eggs, seasonal daffodils and treats for the dog are a lovely welcoming touch.

We visited out of season and found the location is wonderfully peaceful and relaxing, and perfect for dog walking, with St.Ives just a short drive away.

Thank you to Russell & Melanie for providing great accommodation in a fantastic part of the country.

We loved our stay at the stable, the location is lovely and quiet and the accommodation was a great base to explore st Ives and the surrounding area. The stable is perfectly equipped for a couple, the smart tv made a good addition to watch Netflix after days out walking. The place was lovely and clean on our arrival and we loved the addition of the scones. We’d definitely come back and I’d highly recommend staying here.

My husband my dog and I have just returned home having had a wonderful time at Trevalgan Farm. On arrival we were greeted by Russell the owner with scones jam and clotted cream and treats for our dog. The Stable was clean and very well equipped (no need bring any washing up stuff - everything is there including kitchen roll and tin foil!) The property is in a fantastic location in easy walking distance to St Ives or you can get on the bus which arrives every hour and you’re dog gets a free ride. We only used the car once the whole week has there are loads of walks and rambles to explore.

We would definitely recommend a stay at Trevalgan Farm and we hope to return in the near future.

Ideally situated for St Ives and west Cornwall with play area for children. Goats and chickens are great idea.
Perhaps a few more hooks especially in the bathroom could be added.

We had a lovely few days at the stable. Very close to St. Ives and equally convenient for Hayle.
Very easy to find and some convenient walks very close by.
The location is nicely away from the busy areas of St. Ives and peaceful.
Parking was very close to the front door and easy to carry luggage too and from the car.
The accommodation was clean and very comfortable with adequate wifi speeds to be able to work a few hours (and take a few video calls) without any connection issues.

Would definitely stay here again.
