Excellent support from Paula on booking and logistics.
Great lodge in an excellent location to explore east coast
The bay at Filey is starting to deteriorate and needs investment in the grounds and painting of buildings. The John Paul pub/restaurant has really gone down hill for both food standards and quality of service.

We booked 2 lodges, Prospect & Seahorses both were perfect

Paula communicated with us prior to arrival, once we arrived we couldn’t fault anything, absolutely spotless with everything provided you could possibly need

We will definitely be returning for another fantastic break

We stayed at Prospect Lodge over Christmas. The lodge is brilliant and has everything you need including great WiFi for the kids to use for there games etc. We would definitely stay at the Lodge again as The Bay is great for families and dogs. The beach is a 10 minute walk away and great for the kids and dogs to have a run around. Another plus was the log burner in the lodge which we used everyday. We will be back at The Bay in the future.

Spacious, warm and comfortable. We had a family weekend and the layout and 3 bathrooms made the lodge perfect.

Prospect Lodge was ideal for a short family break over our grandchildren's half term. 3 bedrooms with ensuites and a very well furnished kitchen / diner and lounge area. Only a 5 minute walk down to the beach and then all across to Filey where so many lovely cafes / restaurants can be found. We would look to go again for a similar break in future. Having the extra hour until 11am to depart is great as it still gives you time for a leisurely breakfast with everyone.

Really great accommodation, brilliant position overlooking fields and lake yet close enough to the facilities of the pub / pool / tennis. The Bay is a great place to stay. My only recommendation for this property which would have made it even better would be:

1. As a dog owner it would have been better if the decking fencing was filled in rather than open to keep my dog in! The exact same property next door had theirs filled in which would have been preferred.

2. With the amazing position and views and the large decking available am surprised there isn’t a hot tub, this would have made it even more amazing! (but didn’t see any other properties with one either)

All in all 5* accommodation and site would highly recommend - you get what you pay for!

Thanks for your feedback and 5 star rating. We don't want to lose the wonderful views of the meadows by fencing in the decking, but you are not the first to suggest this. We are also not allowed hot tubs so you won't find any!

Prospect Lodge is a perfect place for a family holiday. It is very spacious, clean and really well equipped. It is practical and very comfortable. The toys and games were an added bonus. Filey Bay Direct were excellent to book through. We would love to visit again.

Excellent holiday lodge. So clean and so comfortable and provides everything you could possibly require. Would highly recommend this lodge. it is expensive but worth it. A fly sway would have been useful. Thanks

We chose this lodge because of the quiet location and separate bathrooms for each bedroom. The lodge had everything that we needed, plus extras that we hadn't even thought of. I would say that the cleanliness of the lodge wasn't brilliant unfortunately, which is a shame when paying quite a premium price. The meadow view was lovely, but as the site got busier at the weekend unfortunately additional cars parked in front of the lodge which did spoil the view.

Great location and comfortable lodge. Well equipped and amenities on site were great with friendly staff
We were using Seahorse lodge as well and reiterate the comments. The road to the amenities was dirty and our children’s shoes and trousers got filthy. More bin liners would have helped as we wanted to help by taking our own rubbish out
Great place for a great weekend

We have stayed at the prospect lodge a couple of times and always love coming back,
It is well maintained and has everything you need especially in the kitchen.
Correspondence with FBD is always good and are a joy to book with.

Have stayed here a few times but in seahorse lodge …this was booked thou but still had a fantastic stay here ..we never want to leave ..it’s in such a lovely spot perfect for us and out dog ( Walt)
