Hendersyde, our family farm, lies quietly between The River Tweed and Eden Water, downstream from delightful Kelso. Millsyde, special, spacious, and single storey, sleeps 6. Tucked away in a quiet corner between The Tweed and Eden Water. West Cottage and Southsyde are simple, traditional farm cottages, each sleep up to 4 people. Standing at the end of their own lane, views stretch over the Tweed Valley to The Cheviot Hills in the Northumberland. https://www.hendersyde.co.uk
We have just spent a very happy week at Southsyde. Even though we have been going for 24 years, there is always something new in the area to discover. This year we found the garden at Carolside, as well as the Heritage Centre at Town Yetholm. Sue and Henry are always working hard to make our stay so agreeable. The cottage is clean, warm and comfortable with lovely views. On arrival you are greeted with a tea tray with freshly baked shortbread : fresh eggs are on the side. This all combines to give a truly relaxed holiday.
West Cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable with a lovely sun-trap garden. The cottage was well equipped and the owner, Sue, was very friendly and had left us eggs, milk and shortbread. The cottage is about 2 miles from Kelso where you will find many shops and places to eat. It is also near to many interesting places to visit including stately homes, castles and wonderful walking routes. We had a fabulous time.
We love Hendersyde and have been visiting for many years. Sue and her family are a delight and go out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The cottages and Millsyde are superbly appointed and it is just the most calm and peaceful place. We wouldn't change a thing! Thank you Sue.
