The second year in a row we have had an excellent stay at the Hollies, Cairngorm Cottage. Beautiful cottage, furnished to a very high standard, with everything you need for a great stay, hot tub, log burner…. with our stay being in December the cottage had a beautiful Christmas tree in the lounge. There has been a beautiful new room and en suite added this year, increasing the bedrooms to 4, which gave everyone a bit more space. Great stay, will definitely re-book.

We spent a fantastic family weekend in August 2024 at The Cairngorm Cottage which was stunning. There were 5 adults and 2 small dogs and there was ample room. The decor was lovely and modern but fitting with the surroundings.
Everything was immaculately clean, with plenty of kitchen gadgets. The location was perfect too. Not too far from lovely walks and shops and restaurants. The weather was stunning too and the garden area had the sun from morning until night.
We would highly recommend and hopefully we will return again.

The accommodation was in a lovely peaceful setting. It is well laid out to accommodate for 8 people, The Mezzanine area
upstairs is beautiful. The lodge has everything you need and has been decorated to a very high standard. Will definitely visit again

This is not the first time we have stayed at Hollies Retreats at Muckrach, but it is the first time in The Cairngorm. This is a beautiful property which is superbly presented and could not be faulted.

We loved our stay at the Cairngorm Cottage! We thought the location was great, it was comfortable (we all slept sooo well) and very well equipped. We would definitely stay again!

We loved staying here. Everything has been thought about. Decor is lovely. Spacious. Clean. Comfortable. Location is perfect for visiting the Cairngorms.

With the exception of the Covid years, we have been staying at Muckrach almost every year since 2017 and every time feels just as magical. Absolutely love this place, it’s a family favourite and treat to ourselves. The surroundings, the luxurious accommodation, the highland coos, there is no where else I would stay in this region of Scotland.

We have stayed many times at the Muchrart Estate but this is the first time we have stayed in the larger Cairngorm Cottage and it didn't disappoint.

The cottage is beautifully furnished and very well kitted out with everything you could possibly need. We loved the Christmas tree in the lounge that had been put up for the festive period and the log-burning fire made it extra homely - and super cosy too!

We didn't dip our toes in the hot tub this time albeit it looked very inviting.

We have always received excellent customer service from the team who are very accommodating and pay attention to the small details, e.g extra bath robes in our rooms on arrival.

We call the Hollies Highland Lodges "our happy place", somewhere to escape to and enjoy the beautiful walks of the local area. 10 minutes from Aviemore make it a central base for exploring the Highlands.
