Spotless & spacious first class lodge, everything you need & more, good communication & instructions, hot tub was wonderful, would definitely recommend
An amazing house! beautifully decorated and every amenity catered for. You will not be disappointed if you stay here!
We have stayed many times at the Muchrart Estate but this is the first time we have stayed in the larger Cairngorm Cottage and it didn't disappoint. The cottage is beautifully furnished and very well kitted out with everything you could possibly need. We loved the Christmas tree in the lounge that had been put up for the festive period and the log-burning fire made it extra homely - and super cosy too! We didn't dip our toes in the hot tub this time albeit it looked very inviting. We have always received excellent customer service from the team who are very accommodating and pay atte...more
Came up with all the family for christmas with our daughter who lives nearby. A lit Christmas tree & a bottle of bubbly provided a good welcome! Everything was lovely. Our only criticism would be a lack of good ole mugs for our tea and maybe a place to put used coffee capsules for recycling.
Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Ease of booking - help and cooperation all the way! Just fabulous. Go again on a heartbeat. Loved the public spaces - blazing fires and the bar is such an asset. Everyone had a ball from start to finish. We booked for three days and it felt like three seconds it was so good.
We stayed here for 2 nights in February. Roughly 20mins drive from Aviemore The lodge was very spacious and clean, the kitchen was very modern, the living room was cosy. Bathroom and en suite kept clean and well maintained; overall the entire lodge was well kept and tidy. They have 2 pets highland cows at the front of the entrance, I've never been so up close to one before! Would stay here again!
Lovely well equipped accommodation next to a fabulous farm shop. Close to delamere for long walks and them back to a cosy fire and hot tub.
A great place to stay now dogs are allowed. Facilities are excellent inside, and the hot tub is especially welcome. This was also checked and well maintained each day. The shops are all good, and the 10% discount given is a bonus. I had a problem with no hot water on the second day which unfortunately wasn’t resolved before leaving, but I’m sure this was just ‘one of those things’. Recycling was good, although a food waste bin would be useful too. Dog bags and bin to dispose of outside were also a bonus. Check in/out times are standard but make a 2 night stay very short, an hour earlie...more
Lodge is beautifully furnished. Nice to have real fire and hot tub. Beds are quite firm as are pillows. Softer pillows would be nice. Dog friendly lodge, however nowhere to clean dog. Shower is only a rainfall and we had to ask for a hose attachment for outside tap to clean paws. Farm shop is amazing! Pricey as you’d expect but food is exceptional. Would be nice if cafe allowed dogs - especially as we were staying in lodges and would have used if dog had been allowed - even a sectioned off area for dogs. Lost custom due to this. Have to drive everywhere. Lodge area nice but near ...more
We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Fir and will certainly recommend the lodge to family and friends.
