Our second stay in Arthur’s Retreat. Cottage is very clean and comfortable. Everything you need in the kitchen if wanting to eat in, Beds very comfortable as is the lounge furniture. Can’t fault anything other than could do with a mirror at a slightly lower height. At 5ft 2 can only see the top of my head. This is just a personal remark and not a criticism of the lovely cottage.

We have been visiting The Bay since it first opened and return every year. Arthur’s Retreat was one of the best . Everything was spotless, comfortable beds and sofa. The kitchen had everything you need. Communication with Anchor holidays was excellent.
Will certainly be back soon. Thankyou

A lovely few days spent at Arthur’s Retreat. Beautifully decorated home from home, we were so comfortable here and didn’t want to leave. It is situated in a fantastic position near the pub, shops and leisure centre. There is a beautiful walk to the beach but quite steep on the way back. Thank you. Will be back!

My family and I had a fantastic holiday at Arthur's Retreat. The accommodation is spacious, fitted to a high standard and very comfortable for a family of 4.

The location is perfect just a short walk from the on site pub, shop, gym, pool and tennis court, yet still very quiet. As avid table tennis players having the table literally outside the back door of the property was perfect for us (but could be slightly annoying for others!)

Arthur's Retreat is the perfect place to stay to either explore the Yorkshire Coast or to stay and relax and enjoy the on site facilities and amazing beach. We will definitely be returning.

Myself, wife, son, wife and 2 year old daughter had a good week at Arthurs retreat. Was 10-15 minutes walk down to lovely beach and the accommodation was right for the 5 of us and our small dog. Pub and shop were a bit expensive but handy. Pool was ok when I went for adult swim but generally went to beach.Walked to Filey took 45mins along beach. Accommodation was clean and comfy and had nice little garden.

Location of property perfect for easy walking access to site amenities and beach paths. The house has lovely decor throughout, furniture and fittings all in excellent condition. The one thing it would benefit from is the provision of a clothes airer.

The Bay was recommended to us by friends as a dog friendly place to stay on the coast and it did not disappoint. The place was spotless and very close to the beach and the local pub. Ideal for walks (to either) although the dog did prefer the pub ;)

Arthurs Retreat is absolutely stunning, it has very clearly been refurbished and it looks amazing.
Everything in the property is clean and comfortable.
Very well positioned in the resort.
The hosts have considered every need for their guests
Will definately be making a return visit

Lucky to be the first guests after a full refurb and felt like we were staying in a showhome! Beautifully decorated and furnished, new everything right down to the pots and pans. The owners had supplied everything we needed and more, I especially appreciated the air fryer and also the TVs in the bedrooms. The beds were soooo comfy with good quality mattress and mattress toppers but to be honest I would have been happy sleeping on the reclining sofa! The house felt very spacious for the two of us and a small dog but would accommodate a family easily. A full size single bed in the main bedroom is ideal for a family with 3 children, although for us this was not necessary and a dressing table would have been nice to have instead (with a put up bed or cot for when required). Location ideal very close to the central facilities with a lovely rear patio area overlooking a communal area with a table tennis table. Ample parking (not allocated) did get a bit busy over the bank holiday weekend and saw a few people having to drive around for a space. Communication with Anchor Bay Holidays was excellent with all the information we needed provided.
