We’ve stayed in a few houses at The Bay, this was our first stay at Baileys beach house. The house was fab, modern, and it looked like it had been redone recently, the location was also great.

The beds were sooooo comfy!

The only issue we had was the sofa, we love a comfy corner sofa to watch TV and chill. It looked fab on the photos but in reality, it was covered in covers which kept coming off and they were hard to fit back on, inbetween the sofa cushions my daughter found a few used plasters which wasn’t very nice. We ended up using a blanket from upstairs to cover the sofa as it did put us off from sitting on it.
The sofa covers seem to be too small for the sofa, and they did smell doggy which is understandable as it’s a dog friendly house so I got that.

Overall the house was spotless when we got there, and I didn’t feel like it was necessary to raise any issues.

We were there for 9 nights and I did ask for ours towels to be changed which was done.

Will we stay again? Yes probably, but the plasters did put me off a little sorry.

We completely agree that this simply isn’t good enough and isn’t the standard we expect at Bailey’s Beach House. We’ve raised this with our cleaning team to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Thank you as well for the feedback on the sofa covers. We want Bailey’s to be genuinely dog-friendly, but that shouldn’t mean compromising on cleanliness or comfort. We’re going to look into replacing the cushion covers with something that fits better, stays in place and is easier to keep fresh. We really appreciate you saying that the rest of the house was spotless and that you’d consider staying with us again. We loved our stay at Bailey’s beach house - brilliant location, a beautiful house with lovely homely feeling with everything you need!

However I wouldn’t book with anchor bay holidays again. We were booking last minute so we phoned to enquire - the customer service was poor and rude! Half way through my questions I was told they needed to go as they had other calls coming through (we had only been on the phone 2 minutes) I emailed my to ask to speak to someone who may be more helpful - we then got a call from Anthony who was polite and helpful until we made the booking then he didn’t want to know. He told me to contact another number and not him also ignored my texts regarding the deposit I made.

I received 10 emails and 10 text messages from booking the holiday which i found excessive - some emails I received involved irrelevant information about other properties - the emails were long and I really didn’t think it was necessary to read all that information. The tone of some of the emails and text messages are also rude - writing in capital letters for example ‘LEAVE THE LEISURE PASS’

I wouldn’t book with anchor bay holidays again.

However, we feel it is essential to provide full, honest context regarding your stay and your interactions with our team. Communication & Support: To claim that we "didn't want to know" after booking is entirely unfair. You omitted the fact that we engaged in dozens of polite messages and calls before and during your stay, working continuously to assist you. While we always aim to be helpful, our team cannot tolerate being inundated with relentless messages on personal staff phone numbers—which are outbound lines, not our dedicated customer support channels. Cancellation & Insurance Policies: Prior to arrival, your party contacted us regarding a family emergency and repeatedly requested a full refund or date changes on a discounted, last-minute Sunday-to-Thursday booking. As clearly outlined in our booking terms, short-notice cancellations cannot be refunded directly, as the property cannot be re-booked on zero notice. Refund Offers: We explicitly informed you that you were entitled to a full refund through travel insurance and offered to formally cancel the stay to provide a Cancellation Invoice or Certificate of No-Show so you could claim 100% of your money back (via travel insurance, credit card cover, or bank protection). However, you declined insurance cover. Despite this, we kept the property fully reserved and accessible via key safe for whenever you were able to arrive. Guest Information: Our automated emails and SMS messages contain essential access details and reminders—such as returning leisure passes so future guests can use them. We always strive to balance empathy with fairness and clear operational policies. We wish you and your family all the best.

Beautifully decorated home. Spotlessly clean and a perfect location for the beach! All the little things had been thought of. The beds were very comfortable and it really felt like a home from home - we would definitely choose baileys beach house again! My daughter especially loved Steven the seagull!

Ps. Just a few stained cups that possibly need replacing.

My family and I absolutely loved staying at Bailey's Beach House, everything was to a very high standard. Fully equipped kitchen was high spec and easy to use.
The location were really quiet considering the house is near to the amenities.
We especially enjoyed all the artwork around the house. Thanks

Really impressed with Bailey’s Beach house. On arrival everything was pristine including all the kitchen appliances, soft furnishings and cleanliness. It is a credit to the owners and cleaning staff.
The position on The Bay is good, near to facilities and no problem parking at the rear of the property.
Can’t wait to return in the near future.

The house is fabulous.
Very clean, well decorated with lovely wall art.
New kitchen and bathrooms contaning everything you could hope for.
Large smart tv.
Prime position close to the pub, swimming and beach path.
In our experience, one of the best 2 bedroom houses on the bay.
Highly recommended, we hope to return very soon.
