We've stayed multiple times at The Bay in different accommodation. This lodge was very stylish and had everything needed for a pleasant stay.

Our only feedback would be the mattress in the far bedroom was very soft and felt worn, also the cleaning standards were less than expected with hairs in all of the bathrooms and kitchen worktops felt greasy to touch.

Thank you for taking the time to do a review and we are glad you had a pleasant holiday. We are sorry about the issues you encountered and note you didnt call our 24/7 number as we would have come round and sorted within the hour. We have spoken to the cleaners and the kitchen worktop was due to a new member of staff putting too much product on the worktop which can leave an apparent greasy residue. The mattress will be looked at by the new owners and remedied - again had we known there was an issue (and nobody else has reported this) we would have swapped this using our stock mattresses for new. Please if you stay with us please do contact us when issues arise as we do say we will always put things right if we got things wrong but its hard to do when you have left feedback in a review. We look forward to hosting you again soon.

Halcyon Days is an absolutely stunning Lodge/ House. Size wise it’s perfect for larger families to share a home for a break but Halcyon Days feels more than a holiday home, it feels like you want to stay well beyond the 3 nights we booked over New Years. It has everything you could want and the owners are obviously proud of their home and rightly so. It’s modern, spacious, clean and in a great location on The Bay Filey. We will definitely be staying again we loved it that much. Special mention to Anthony at AB Holidays, all communication was great and any questions we had were answered pretty much immediately, which I find rare when booking with other holiday management companies so we also highly recommend AB Holidays
