This was our 2nd stay at this lovely lodge so I think that says it all. Looking forward to our next stay over Xmas.

This is the second time my partner and I have stayed at Half the World Away in Filey Bay in just two months, and I think that says it all!

It really is a home away from home. Such a lovely, cosy and welcoming place where you can completely relax, unwind and enjoy some quality time together. It has that wonderful homely feeling that makes you never want to leave!

We loved our first stay so much that we couldn’t resist coming back, and our second visit was just as lovely. It’s quickly becoming our favourite little getaway and somewhere that feels really special to us.

We’re already looking forward to our next visit and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing break by the coast!

Spotlessly clean everywhere.Everything you could possibly need regarding crockery utensils etc .Beautiful furnishings and ornaments.Great that we could get lots to channels .Would highly recommend this property.The only let down is the on site pub .Food and cleanliness left a lot to be desired do not recommend.

The accommodation was first class, cleanliness, decor, and facilities were excellent. All the mod cons you need, Tv, Wifi, kitchen appliances were all fantastic. It made for a very relaxing 4 night stay.
The downside was the properties were way too close to each other, which meant no privacy at all. Parking was not good either, we have 2 cars one just fit down the side and the other was a problem to find a parking spot nearby. There are NO EV chargers on the Bay and when we enquired we were told the 2 they had,had been reversed into and damaged and was told that we could use the chargers on the Primrose Valley site… not ideal. It’s 2026 and the Bay should cater more for electric vehicles. Overall a very enjoyable stay, would we go again…probably not. p.s have been bombarded with emails and text messages since booking, there really is no need for so many.

We do apologise if you felt bombarded by our messages prior to your visit. We send out information—including our digital guidebook—to ensure guests have all the details they need to make the most of their time here. Naturally, that correspondence includes clear details regarding the unfortunate incident where our on-site EV chargers were reversed into and damaged, as well as instructions on how guests can access free, unlimited EV charging at our partner property just by dropping us a quick message. It is always a shame when the information provided gets overlooked, as we would have been more than happy to set you up with complimentary charging for the duration of your stay had you reached out to us directly rather than going to the bay reception and getting the incorrect advice. We appreciate your thoughts on privacy and parking as well, and we wish you all the best with your future travels!

We have stayed at The Bay a few times but our first stay in Half The World Away. The property was really nice with everything you could need. As it's a new property, it was in pristine condition.
A couple of suggestions for the owners are :-maybe purchase a small radio
find something to put over the port hole window in bedroom to stop the street light shining in

We enjoyed our stay and would book this property again

Half the world away was a first class accommodation, top quality from furnishings to white goods. Peaceful location, would highly recommend a break away at this accommodation.
