We absolutely loved our stay! The property has some much character yet is stylish and modern. The location is great - literally 10 minutes from all the great villages and 20 mins from St Andrews.
Thanks again for a great stay!

This is a fabulous and luxurious hideaway for any couple in the lovely surroundings of the East Neuk Orchards. We were staying in the Barracks 'next door' whilst Lisa and Duncan were renovating a couple of years ago; it was very clear how much thought and precision went into adding a high degree of luxury, whilst retaining the original Dovecote features in the upstairs living area. The bedroom has a HUGE super king size bed and dressing area, with a powerful shower and lovely complimentary toiletries in the en-suite. It's supremely comfortable. The upstairs living area has great views of the East Neuk, and is beautifully furnished, also with a terrific kitchenette, TV, games and the wonderful Dovecote features. I can't recommend this place highly enough; we arrived to it being spotless and perfect.

The Doocot is wonderful and full of character. We were really impressed by the location of the property, as well as the specification of the features inside. The starry ceiling was the best surprise!
The property was clean and had lots of amenities. The lovely apple juice and shortbread was a welcome surprise too!
Throughout our stay we walked the coastal path near Crail which is worth a visit, visited Cambo (has a lovely cafe worth trying!), and visited St Andrews and the lovely bookshops. We also walked along the coastal path there and visited the amazing golf course.
We hope to come and stay again one day at the lovely Doocot!

This is a very quirky property. Accommodation was perfect for two plus our dog. Location was excellent to tour around the East Neuk and visit the sights. The lounge/kitchen is upstairs so possibly not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Storage/hanging space in bedroom could have been better especially if you’re staying 5 nights. Overall we had a lovely relaxing break.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this fabulous, characterful Doocot. It was cosy, clean and very well equipped. We would highly recommend it to all our friends
The location was perfect, with so much to see and do.

The Doocot accomodation was excellent, quirky and the starry ceiling in the bedroom was very soothing.
Being a double height building there are quite a number of stairs to negotiate but the climb is worth it.
The only criticism I would have is that I found the settee uncomfortable but the Doocot is definitely worth a visit.

Excellent accommodation with everything you need for a relaxing break.
Beautiful picturesque fishing villages within short driving distance and Kellie Castle is definitely worth a visit.

We had a fantastic stay at the Doocot. The grounds and the orchard are amazing and we took full advantage, having a picnic in the orchard in the evening. It was perfect for our two dogs.
The location is great with plenty to do and see near bye and some lovely restaurants within 10-15 minutes drive.
We also loved the little touches like the home pressed apple juice, and even brought some home with us!
It’s the perfect spot to explore that lovely corner of the east coast.

We chose this place because it was fairly central to all the places in the East Neuk which we wanted to visit. It is extremely comfortable and well equipped and in a beautiful countryside location.

Information sent ahead of holiday by Lisa was great. The Dootcot didn't disappoint - very comfortable and of course very 'different'. Absolutely loved the 'night sky' ceiling in bedroom. Lots of steps so beware if you have mobility issues. Only criticism or more suggestion would be addition of microwave and heated towel rail to dry shower towels. perfect location to visit St. Andrews and all the lovely villages of East Neuk. Farm shop just up the road was brilliant. Really enjoyed our holiday and hope to return one day. Thank you.xx

Thank you for your lovely and helpful review - so glad you enjoyed watching the ceiling! Your advice regarding steps is spot-on, the Doocot is not suitable for guests with mobility issues. We will definitely add a small microwave but unfortunately upgrading the towel rail is not a simple fix. This is something we will review with our electricians during our winter maintenance closure. I very much hope to see you back again soon!
