A lovely cottage set in an idyllic location, we loved our stay here. Everything was so clean, kitchen well stocked with all equipment needed and even the dogs were well catered for with bowls & towels, a lovely extra touch that wasn’t expected. Complimentary apple juice was gorgeous as was the shortbread. Thank you.
Fabulous!

We rented all three properties for a family get together. My two sons and their partners stayed in The Lodge. They absolutely loved their stay - they felt it was all wonderful, particularly the shower pressure, beautifully decorated, wonderful amenities and all very well thought through for their guests.
In fact, both couples commented that they would be very happy to live in The Lodge - praise indeed!

A comfortable and cosy cottage next to a beautiful little nature reserve. Tucked away in a quiet country lane within a short drive of coast villages, the cottage is finished to a high standard and it was hard to believe it is dog friendly - it is so clean! Due to the rural location of the cottage, a car is required to make the most of the area. Hoping to return at some point in the future.
A very pleasant holiday

Having booked a stay with East Neuk Orchards, communications were excellent. The Lodge was easy to find from information provided. The cottage was extremely well appointed and gave us a very enjoyable stay.

Property is ideally located very well appointed and very clean. Probably the one of the best equipped cottages we've stayed in. Small annoyance was lack of replacement bin liners but a small point easily remedied.
Nice outdoor space, worth highlighting not fenced for young ones or dogs but owner answered that on direct inquiry.
Bedrooms and en-suites were excellent. Kitchen and breakfast bar area very good. A bit cramped to use the cleverly folded away table and chairs. Lounge area very nice. My personal taste I'd prefer cosy arm chairs over trendy. But space is limited for slouching air chairs.
I think the wild life reserve opposite is a slight spin. Very overgrown and impossible to walk around because of stock fences. Best not to make too much of its presence, looks like a man made water storage system, OK its got a few birds on it but nothing of great interest. Bear in mind we're already living in rural Scotland.
Would we stay again- yes we would probably as a couple, we had a 5 year old grandson in tow, so it was snug at times as weather wasn't kind to us but that's no-ones fault.
Owner easy to deal with and responsive. Perhaps too much repetition of information - all of which was extremely useful but I had at least 4 copies in the end. I appreciate people will say "I didn't know" but sending people who don't read things the same thing 4 times doesn't make them read it.
Hopefully a review which the owners can take action on where required but overall really nice cottage, well located in a new part of Scotland for us.

Thank you for your very helpful review, I'm glad you found the Lodge well located, well equipped and very clean! Thank you also for suggesting we provide extra bin bags and as you mention, this is easy to resolve.
Regarding the Local Nature Reserve opposite the Lodge - it's owned and maintained by Fife Council. I agree it is looking particularly hairy at the moment but the circular walks are enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. For potential guests reading this, the Nature Reserve has a stockproof boundary fence and there is a pedestrian access gate about 30m from the Lodge, there are no fences within the reserve itself.

We had a very comfortable cosy stay at the Lodge East Neuk Orchards. It was lovely to walk into such a clean cosy welcoming cottage which was well equipped. Its in a quiet location with good parking. The Lodge is perfectly situated only a short drive from a beautiful coastline with lots of fabulous little harbours and villages. They are all different and worth venturing into to visit as you could easily drive past on the coastal road oblivious to whats tucked away in each spot.
There are several good small independant places to eat. Crail Harbour tearoom has fabulous views good food and friendly staff. Pittenweem Cocoa tree cafe has the best hot chocolate to name a couple.
The fife coast path is a good walking route. Ardross farm shop is good for supplies
The Lodge is dog friendly so our little dog enjoyed her holibobs too.
Lisa was a good host and although we didnt meet, she kept in touch about our stay and I'm sure had we needed anything she would have been happy to help.
We are hoping to rebook for next Spring as we didnt do everything we wanted to do and some places are definitely worth a second visit. This is one of the few places we want to stay again as it suited our needs perfectly and I dont think we could get anywhere better for us.

Thank you so much for taking time to leave such a lovely, comprehensive review. We'd be delighted if you returned in the Spring. Hopefully we'll manage to meet each other second time around!
I quite agree with your recommendations, the Cocoa Tree Cafe in Pittenweem has the most fantastic hot chocolate. Ardross Farm Shop also serve it as a delicious take away which can be enjoyed whilst sitting at their outdoor benches. It's a good place for a less-crowded break if you're planning to walk along the Fife Coastal Path.
The Crail Harbour Tearoom really does has amazing views. They also provide blankets for visitors to stay nice and cosy if they choose to sit outside on a blustery day.
Great for a long weekend.

We had a great long weekend at The Lodge which is a great cottage and very well located for exploring the local area. The beds are very comfortable and the Lodge was ideal for the two of us and our 17 year old Granddaughter to enjoy our stay. Our dog loved the excellent local nature reserve for walks each morning.
