I have just spent 3 nights in Patie’s Hill and cannot recommend it enough. The pod was absolutely spotless when we arrived and despite us arriving quite late check in was easy with the code provided for the door. The customer service from Anna was excellent, she was always on hand via text to answer any questions we had or help us in any way. The recommendations provided on the website/ guide book for taxis, food, things to do etc were so helpful especially for someone new to the area. The pod was extremely comfortable, for 4 adults it was a good size. I found it to be very good value for money and would definitely return. The views from the hot tub were amazing! The only issue we found was it was not quite as easy as we thought it would be to get into the centre of Edinburgh and back via public transport/ taxi, it would definitely be easier by car. But we managed this and other than that our stay was absolutely perfect. I cannot recommend staying here enough.

We had a wonderful time; lovely pods, clean and cozy and with everything we needed. And breakfast products on location, perfect. Spectacular views and lots to do in the nearby area, both outdoors and in the city. Only the beds were a little in the small side for the kids (13 and 16). Other than that: great stay!

We stayed for one week in Springfield family pods and had a great time. The children loved the hot tub and bed, couch etc were very comfy. The pods were very clean, Anna and Gavin were great hosts answering all our questions and popping by to ensure everything was ok. The views were spectacular. 100% recommended.

My husband and I and our 3 children have just returned from a fantastic stay in Springfield Farm holiday pods. The pods were spacious, clean, well kept and provided everything we needed for our stay. The area is beautiful, only half hour drive from Edinburgh city and we thoroughly enjoyed the views. Amazing stay at Patie's Hill pod. So peaceful, and the view is stunning.
Great location for Edingburgh and walks/biking in the Pentland Hills.
Hot tub really relaxing after a day out.

We had a fantastic three-night stay in December for a girls' trip. We stayed in Pattie's Hill, which is a non-dog pod, however there are some that are dog friendly. The hosts were excellent and couldn't do enough to help us. The pods are spotless, and the bedrooms are cosy, with extremely comfy beds. The bedrooms and living room each have their own thermostat, making it simple to regulate the temperature. I must admit that the pods are so well insulated that I had to lower the thermostat. The living space is thoughtfully designed, and we made good use of the well-equipped kitchen. We ordered a BBQ pack that included 12 sausages and 6 burgers; this was excellent value for money and provided enough food for three of us for breakfast on two mornings and one dinner. There was a small menu where you could order more meat and I ended up getting ordering sausages to bring home. The pods are not overlooked, and the views out towards the Pentland Hills were spectacular even in the dismal Scottish winter weather; I can only image how wonderful it would be in the summer. The artificial grass out the front (which I believe is recyclable) is an excellent idea because it meant we didn't have to trudge mud and grass into the pods when we came in from the hot tub and the surface wasn't slippery when the temperature dipped below freezing.
The pods are hidden away, yet it is still close to the town for amenities and you can travel to Edinburgh or Glasgow for a day trip if wanted. We chose not to go out and instead stayed close and enjoyed the surroundings. There is a designated farm path that is approximately 2 miles long when walking from the pods to the farm. I will definitely return, and I will almost certainly bring the dog.

Patie's Hill was impeccably clean and very cosy, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The outlook is stunningly beautiful, and the pod is a really peaceful place to stay, within easy reach of Edinburgh. Anna is a very considerate host. Our only disappointment was the use of artifical grass, which spoils the otherwise environmentally-friendly vibe. We could more or less ignore it as the weather was poor, but it would have completely spoiled the experience had it been sunny and warm.
