Great location for exploring North Norfolk. Coot Cottage had everything that we needed, so 5 star rating. Enjoyed having the Games Room on site. Our grand-children and their parents stating in other cottages really enjoyed the Swimming Pool on site. The volume of instructions was overwhelming compared to other holiday cottages where we have stayed, but we managed to understand everything.
We love staying at Cranmer Country Cottages, especially for the beautiful warm swimming pool, and the Norfolk countryside. I have to say that there were at times, twice of which were in the middle of the night, very loud noises from aircraft landing at the nearby Sculthorpe landing strip (which I read has the second longest runway in Europe). But I would happily go back to CCC for another stay, and would just put up with these aircraft noises.
Beautiful cottage just as I’d hoped, perfect for our family. Well equipped, everything we needed for our stay. Beautiful outlook - would love to come back for longer in the summer months to make the most of it. The children loved the games room and the swimming pool, and the private swimming hour was perfect. Ideal location for exploring the beautiful Norfolk coastline. We will definitely be looking to return in the near future.
We stayed for 7 nights. All the pre-arrival information and directions were very detailed. The cottage was spotless and well equipped, in a delightful setting. Accomodation was very comfortable and relaxing. With the addition of a pool onsite. The local pubs are only a short drive away, and there are plenty to choose from. We couldn't recommend the cottages more highly and will definitely return in the future.
We adored our stay at Owl Cottage. The accommodation itself was lovely and clean, the decor was great and it had fab provisions for a four-night stay. The main draw for us with younger kids was the outside playground, pool and games room and these really didn’t disappoint. As we had a mid-week stay, we didn’t have any issues sharing these with the other cottages. The bbq was fun, and we really lucked out with the weather. The only tiny thing we’d suggest is providing some fly spray / fly tape because with the windows and doors open with the lovely weather it was quite the party scene for the f...more
The layout of Cranmer cottages was perfect for a multi generational stay. The cottages individual back gardens backed onto a large grassed play area which was spacious and safe for the children to play on. The pool was also popular for us all to have fun in together. Communication with this company during the booking process was great. These cottages are a perfect base for exploring North Norfolk. The only constructive criticism was the radiator in our bathroom was stuck on high, which did add to the heat of an already hot weekend.
We had an intergenerational family holiday using three of the cottages. The location is perfect for visiting the North Norfolk beaches and the beautiful villages. The digital information packs were informative although a tad excessive. The pool was great and the timetable very well thought out so there were plenty of opportunities to swim either as exclusively or with others. Our main issue was that although advertised as dog friendly, it’s really just about dog tolerant. Our family dog is very well trained and hypoallergenic but was only allowed in the smallest of the cottages and not o...more
We booked this lovely cottage last weekend for our family of six adults and 3 young grandchildren, (5,2,1). The cottage was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen with crockery, utensils, glasses etc. The bedroom mattress’s were soft, but we had the best nights sleep. There were high chairs and travel cots for the children. We enjoyed the swimming pool at the cottage, and having it to ourselves as per timetable. We used the games room and the children enjoyed the swings and slide in the field. The cottage is not far from the beach and other small village’s nearby. The family all enjoyed th...more
Given good directions to property. Instructions for parking and accessing the property out of reception hours were easy to follow. Fakenham not too far away for grocery shop. WiFi was not terribly good but the whole area around there seems to be much the same. We didn’t use the leisure facilities as we were only on a short break as our first visit to Norfolk. So much we wanted to see in the area. One little issue was the low flying aircraft which gave us a bit of a fright the first night wondering if there was a heating/water problem. From my FlightRadar App it was not RAF or US Airforce. Seem...more
