We booked for a celebration weekend with our family for our Son’s 30th birthday and there were 7 of us in the party. We were welcomed on arrival and shown completely around the double cottage ‘Swallows Nest’ by the host. It was very clean and was in a lovely setting amongst all the other cottages. The grounds were very pretty, with a lovely pool and a very well equipped games room. Everything was on hand and there was a nice little welcome pack left for us as well in the cottage. We booked the eco barn as it had space for all of us. It was clean, well equipped and in a lovely location. The pool was ideal for a daily swim, changing rooms and showers were a bonus. There is a really nice games room with lots of books, games etc for rainy days. Would recommend for a family getaway. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Very nice property stayed for an extended weekend for a family birthday. Good location close to several nice villages and small towns.
Very last minute stay here. Cottage was lovely and modern. Nice to receive a welcome pack. There is an onsite laundrette which was handy. You need to pay for the tumble dryer or there’s washing lines at the cottage. Games Room and Pool were an added bonus and as we were the only ones there had more time in the pool. Owners were introduced themselves but were not intrusive and were very communicative via email. I did suggest some items that I thought would be useful for other stays. Beautiful cottage just as I’d hoped, perfect for our family. Well equipped, everything we needed for our stay. Beautiful outlook - would love to come back for longer in the summer months to make the most of it. The children loved the games room and the swimming pool, and the private swimming hour was perfect. Ideal location for exploring the beautiful Norfolk coastline. We will definitely be looking to return in the near future.
We had a fantastic week at Cranmer making good use of the lovely pool and games room as well as enjoying the local area. The cottage was very warm and comfortable and the log burner was a cosy touch. The cottage had everything we needed. Walking around the farm we spotted deer, kites, kestrel, blue tits, and many more - even a barn owl which was very special. The local farm shop at Wallsingham provided delicious bread, meat and veg, and we had amazing walks at Holkham and Wells as well as enjoying local pub recommendations and the deli and cafe at Burnham Market. This was our third visit to Cranmer and this time we stayed in Owl cottage. This suited my husband and I perfectly. Cranmer’s rural setting is always peaceful and relaxing and we made the most of the swimming pool as usual. The local wildlife is always interesting, with partridge and woodpeckers in the garden this time, as well as the numerous baby rabbits. We came a little later this year, having been in March before which meant that we could visit a few more places in the vicinity that were now open. This was our first stay at Cranmer Cottages (Woodpecker) and we were not disappointed. The cottage was extremely clean & comfortable in an excellent location. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and close to beaches and lots of excursions for the small people. We were particularly pleased at the low flying aircraft for the aviation enthusiasts amongst us! The swimming pool was a real gem as the weather was very hot when we stayed (mid August). The paddock for the children to play safely in was a huge bonus. Perfection in every way, thank you I am sure we will be back :)
We stayed for New Years at the cottage as a family in 2024. The Cottage is modern, clean and spacious. A good size kitchen and bedrooms were also a good size, clean and modern. Great facilities on site, swimming pool and games room. A lovely set of cottages together on site next to each other. I imagine in the summer it is very busy outside given the amount of cottages next to each other. Excellent facilities and location. Spent days at the beach and evenings with the BBQ in the garden cooking great produce from local farm shops. 3 children aged between 4 and 11 and loads for all of them to do.
Size and layout of cottages - very good Play area, Swimming Pool and Games Room - excellent Lack of Welcome info. ie Wi-Fi access Gen. Maintenance- Vacuum blocked by previous occupant, kettle in need of descaling. Infestation of ? Cluster Flies (provided with Fly Spray)
