We had a lovely time at Cranmer Cottages. The play area for the children was fabulous, safe and very big! The tennis courts were in great condition and we enjoyed playing on them The swimming pool was fantastic - perfect for young children - and the timetable system worked very well The cottages worked well for 2 groups - and we all managed to eat together in Swallow's Nest The lounge area was comfortable The only criticism I'd have was that some of the bedrooms were smaller than we expected and very hot in the sunny weather. Overall a great stay for a family
A great place and location to explore north Norfolk from! The cottage (Coot) was ideal for the four of us (pooch included - with dog bed, blanket and bowl provided. Becci is a very friendly and welcoming host. There's an honesty box for fresh hen and duck eggs, chutneys and even Cranmer colouring books! The pool is a good size too! Overall a very good stay! We enjoyed a week in late August at Cranmer Country Cottages, staying in Swallow cottage. Our Grandchildren loved the swimming pool and play paddock. We found the staff to be very approachable and extremely helpful. We would hope to stay again next year.
We stayed in the Tern cottage for a week with our toddler and baby and had an amazing time. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you would need for a family week away, is very spacious, and furnished to a high standard. The garden was perfect both for our dog and for BBQs. The indoor pool was a real highlight which we used everyday. The cottage is perfectly located in the centre of North Norfolk so you can get to most popular locations within 30-40 minutes maximum. We enjoyed our stay at Eco Barn. The hot tub and gas bbq were excellent. The tennis courts, swimming pool and games room were great but the booking system for the swimming pool was poor. The pool was often empty when we might have liked to use it. When you are on holiday you don’t want your time to be regimented. It would have been very helpful to have more crockery, cutlery etc in Garden house so it didn’t have to be carried through from Avocet. Brilliant stay at Owl cottage - from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and appreciated. The whole team are absolutely lovely and it's such a well appointed cottage, it has everything you need for a brilliant stay, including a very luxurious hot tub.
Really enjoyed staying at Wagtail, the facilities at Cranmer Cottages are comprehensive! The pool with private allotted sessions is a real bonus, we had lovely weather too! Lots to do in the area and all just a modest drive away!
Staying in woodpecker was relaxing and enjoyable. Having access to a games room and pool for my kids was amazing. If they had their way, they would’ve been in the pool every day for many hours. It was lovely being able to have the pool to ourselves so it did not restrict us by impeding on anyone else else’s Swim. As we are all keen swimmers for us more access to the pool for longer periods would have made it fantastic for us and we weren’t aware at the time of booking that it was bookable sessions only. Who would have thought that you could find a lovely set of holiday cottages off the beaten track, just outside Fakenham. Firstly, a big shout out to Jen, whom we dealt with before and during our stay. Jen went over and above to help out, and made us feel very welcome. Avocet was nicely situated on the end of a row of cottages and had excellent access to the children's play area and tennis court, although the latter went unused. This is the second time we have stayed in the garden house, we had a lovely week. All the staff were so helpful and kind. The pool is great. We will definitely be back
Everything would have been good except we had to spend lots of time swatting flies in the cottages candidate cleaning up afterwards.
