Cosy dog friendly end of terrace cottage with private gardens & parking and free WIFI. The cottage offers spacious open plan living and is ideal for a family gathering and the dog can come too!
There’s a ground floor bedroom and bathroom with 3 bedrooms & bathroom upstairs. There is also a wood burning stove for cosy winter weekends.

We booked this cottage along with two others so our wider family could spend time together. It worked brilliantly - the accommodation was great, the facilities well thought through and easy to use. End Cottage was brilliant and although a little further from the other cottages and the pool, this wasn’t a problem. We will definitely be returning.

Some issues with noise upstairs from floor boards/coverings affects anybody sleeping in the bedroom below
Hot water set at far too high a temperature too easy to scald anybody
Upstairs bathroom towel radiator unable to turn off at the valve/control again far too hot
The times stated to travel to the nearest pub and beach needs to be reviewed

Thank you for taking time to review our property. I did meet with one of your party during the week who stated that the cottage was lovely. It is an older property and the floorboards upstairs may creak when adults are up and down in the night. With 6 adults in the property this may have been the issue. All the distances for the local pubs and attractions are taken from google maps, however if traffic is heavy it may take longer to get from A to B.

We enjoyed our stay. Our cottage was well equipped and nicely decorated and we enjoyed having access to the lovely heated skimming pool. The cottages are also well situated with plenty of interesting places to visit nearby. However, we felt customer service was lacking. We had no hot water or heating for the first two days of our stay and found it very hard to get hold of someone to assist us. Given these are meant to be luxury cottages, we though that was very poor.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We did have a bit of a communication that weekend for which i can only apologise. We had a new boiler fitted in the property and my team assumed the plumber had left it switched on ready for use. Instead it was switched off. The job was finished on your arrival day and should have been checked by one of my team. The boiler instructions were left in the property. Once we received your message my husband did pop down to resolve the issue. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Phone messaging is not the best here but mailboxes are constantly monitored. It is pretty frustrating as we made every effort to have the new boiler installed prior to you arrival to avoid just this sort of issue. We hope you'll give our place another try just contact us before you make your booking and I am sure we can look at a discount for a future booking.

On site facilities great and Cranmer team very friendly and helpful.

We had a multigenerational family stay at End Cottage and were delighted to be able to bring our dog too. It was clean, comfortable and cosy. We adored having access to a private pool and it transformed our grandchildren’s confidence in the water. We definitely want to come again and have recommended the cottages to friends.

There were so many positives to our stay - SUCH a beautiful cottage which has clearly been lovingly restored, especially downstairs. It was a joy to be together as a family in the downstairs kitchen/living room area, which had everything we could need, including a Christmas tree - how thoughtful!
We appreciated the secure garden and the generous welcome basket of goodies.
However, we did struggle with only one shower (upstairs has a handheld shower over the bath which isn’t really sufficient). The main issue, however, was the noise. We are used to living in very old buildings, but the constant creaking from the chimney of the stove was disturbing and sleeping in the upstairs bedroom next to the bathroom was almost impossible due to the whistling, rattling noise at the windows and roof. Perhaps the double glazing needs to be replaced? We did stay during a windy period so perhaps it is normally better, but we barely slept (and we aren’t fussy sleepers at all!). There was some disturbance also from the RAF base which is right next door.
We loved the pool and games room but were a bit disappointed to find that we had to walk down a public road to get to them - from the site map, we had thought that End Cottage was down a path. Not being able to bring our dog onto the main site then became much more of a problem as someone had to stay behind with her at all times (rather than us being able to easily wander back to check on her).
All in all, it’s easy to see the effort and love that has gone into this development and to End Cottage in particular. The pool is glorious and the design of everything is very tasteful. However, the noise (especially at night) made relaxation very hard for us, and this combined with the ban on dogs from the main site/End Cottage being down a public road marred our stay.

Thank you for leaving us a review and thank you for your feedback. We are pleased you were able to enjoy the cottage and the facilities provided on our main site. There is a pathway between the cottage and the tennis courts and grounds of the main site, the only public highway is along between courtyard 3 and courtyard 2 where the main pool entrance is located. We were experiencing very high winds and storms during your stay and it sounds as if the wind was buffetting the roof rafters. Sculthorpe, Cranmer and South Creake are close to an historic decomissioned airbase at Sculthorpe and there are practise manouvers carried out there from time to time which does affect the local area, Sculthorpe is not an active RAF military airbase. The cottages are not exactly right next door to the airbase! However, comments do crop up from time to time in our reviews about the low flying exercises , which are not regular and to which we have no prior warning when our gusest are making their bookings. End cottage is our only dog friendly property, guests staying at the cottage have access to our luxury indoor heated pool, doggy exercise paddock and perimeter farm walk from the doorstep. We do advise bringing a crate if your pet cannot be left alone in the property when using the main site facilities. However our main site has always been dog free as it has shared guests gardens and some of our guests have small children who may be nervous of dogs. All of this information is provided in our guest info packs and on our website.

We stayed in End Cottage which was absolutely fab. We could not have asked for a more comfortable, well equipped and lovely home from home place to stay. The cottage was amazing and all the facilities where great. Really enjoyed the swimming pool and games room. It is also ideally situated for great access to some beautiful beaches and little villages to wander round. Great for visiting Holkam Hall and Sandringham Estate. I cannot rate this place high enough. In fact we have already booked to return. Everybody made our stay extremely enjoyable and easy. Thank you all xxx

We had a fantastic 5 night stay at End Cottage with our two year old. The house was perfect for her to run around in, with a lovely enclosed garden. The play area and games room were perfect, and we were able to swim every day which was a bonus. We would recommend Cranmer Cottages to families of young children especially, it’s safe and peaceful with lots to do. We’d love to return in the future

The facilities at Cranmer are excellent. The swimming pool is beautiful and very well cared for, as is the games room.
End Cottage is a lovely property, we enjoyed the space and the garden, and were very grateful for the toddler equipment, however we had some issues.
1. Faulty dishwasher which meant dirty crockery had been put away in the cupboards and required further washing prior to use. Problem resolved 48 hours after our arrival once we reported it. Salt and rinse aid required refilling despite the manual saying these were checked regularly.
2. Damaged rotary line with broken arms hanging dangerously. Replaced towards the end of our week, despite being reported the first day of our holiday.
3. Unsafe garden bench, far too rickety to risk sitting on.
The issues we had were addressed however it’s not what we expect from a Premier Cottages property, especially with young children.

The accommodation was in a secluded location and had ample parking and good size front and back gardens. The rear garden has a gate with a pathway which leads to the main areas of Cranmer cottages. Our cottage was well equipped and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The swimming pool is really nice and has showering and changing rooms. Each cottage has its own one hour time slot but also open swim times too which we enjoyed. There is a games room with table tennis and a small pool table also a selection of toys for younger children.
We found the location great for getting out and exploring.

Although we had a good break. The complex looks tired & needs some updating. Paying 20p for hair dryer & 50p for snooker is petty considering cost of the break & table tennis balls all need replacing.

The outside is messy & not the best welcome. The inside of the house is fine & comfortable for family of 4.

Hi There we are glad you had a good stay with us and enjoyed all our facilities. Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback, it helps us know where we may need to improve to give our guests the best experience. End Cottage is 1 of 3 terrace houses. We only own End Cottage, the other two are privately owned and not part of our business. All our cottages have a hairdryer supplied in the main bedroom. There is no extra cost for the use of these. We supply each cottage with a games room pack, this is not replaced at the beginning of every stay, but it is checked on every changeover and items get replaced if missing or broken. Our pool table is an old fashioned 50p slot communal table and is used by all guests staying on site, the 50p cost helps towards the upkeep of the table and it seems to help with making sure that all our guests get fair use of it. Many Thanks

We had a lovely stay at End Cottage. The property was spotless on arrival, equipped with everything we needed for a four night stay. It was spacious and had great gardens. The facilities on site were amazing and the pool was heated perfectly so we could enjoy it with our young children. Owners were really helpful and quick to answer any questions. Location was perfect too, 15 mins from Burnham Market and 20 mins to Holkham beach! Highly recommend this property! We hope to stay again soon.

What a lovely stay from start to finish. Great communication leading up to our trip, easy check in and an all round dog and family friendly holiday home. House was well equipped, nicely decorated and practical for both dogs and children. Swimming pool was enjoyed. The location is fab too - not far at all from all of the north Norfolk attractions. We had a wonderful stay at The End cottage. The swimming pool was a big hit and used twice a day. The staff were so welcoming and helpful, answering all our questions quickly and positively. Our party of grandparents, parents and children (aged 8 and 4) spent a lovely week in End Cottage. The cottage is a minute’s walk from the main Cranmer Cottages complex at Home Farm so we were able to use the facilities there (swimming pool, games room, playground, tennis courts etc) and also had our own private large enclosed garden.

The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. There is an on-site manager and any queries we had were dealt with straightaway.

The cottage is In a rural location but is a good base for exploring North Norfolk, and we found much to do within a short drive, including Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and the much smaller Sculthorpe Nature Reserve. The beaches on the North Norfolk coast are also within easy reach.

We highly recommend End Cottage and would love to return.

We enjoyed a week's holiday at End Cottage in April with our two dogs - and had an amazing stay. The cottage was beautifully decorated, modern and very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed, most importantly a sunny secure lawned garden for our pups to use. Nicky, Assistant Manager of Cramner Country Cottages, was extremely helpful both in advance on the telephone and when we met after our arrival. Would definitely stay at End Cottage again!

End cottage is very easy to feel at home in right away, so easy that you might feel that you just want to sit around and relax. But this is, of course, a mistake. You need to get up and out to use the pool, the games room, tennis courts and just walk around and explore with the dog. I wish we could have stayed longer than two days.

The cottage was great for our two families, with 4 children and 2 dogs. Having an hours use of the pool a day was a real highlight. There were some nice touches like the lovely tulips, welcome pack with local produce and the dog welcome pack.

However... there was a lack of attention to detail in some areas. For example:
-The huge amount of pre-arrival information repeated its self a lot and said contradicting or out of date things. eg: the cost to bringing a dog in one document said £30 and yet we paid £35, different rules about the age of dogs allowed - one saying no dogs under 2 years and another saying 1 year.
- The pre-arrival information said that there would be things like a basket of logs and soap on every hand basin. Yet there was none.
- On the Sunday evening the boiler broke and we had no heating and hot water. I contacted the emergency mobile number at 8pm and had no answer, left a message and got no reply - which is not ideal for an emergency number, luckily we were able to keep warm as I had asked for some logs previously and it wasn't too much of a problem! Called the office phone number on the Monday morning and got through and the issue was thankfully sorted very quickly.
- The pool floor and toilet was not cleaned/checked on a regular basis. After a couple of days of there being no loo paper in the toilet, as well as the floor getting pretty grotty, I did have to ask at the office if they could do something about this. The next day the paper had been replenished and the floor cleaned - however I should not have had to request this, particularly as the pool timetable had several slots a day timetabled for "pool cleaning"!

So there were minor issues, which I didn't expect from the advertised 'luxury' cottage. However, they were resolved as soon as I could speak to someone about them. And all in all it didn't affect our holiday greatly and we had a lovely time. I would visit again and as getting to use the pool with the children was wonderful, and being dog friendly was ideal too.

I am glad that you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review it is always helpful to receive feedback as it helps us to maintain and manage our management procedures . We have an in-house cleaning and maintenance team and we are dilligent in maintaining our standards of cleanliness throughout the site. I have checked the housekeeping reports in relation to your concerns; The bathrooms were fully supplied with soap and toilet rolls, there were 2 complete baskets of logs in the cottage on arrival and we provided additional logs free of charge due to a boiler problem over 1 night of your stay. Our engineer was onsite first thing the next morning and within one hour of being told about the problem. Our pool is cleaned 3 times a day, however we do rely on all guests observing our house rules and not entering the pool area with dirty feet. If the emergency phone is not answered we ask guests to send a text or email which are monitored on a regular basis. The price for a dog has increased alongside the increasing costs & overheads for our business. I will make sure all the relevent information is updated.

A lovely stay

We found End Cottage to be spacious and comfortable. All rooms are well equipped, although the kitchen could do with a couple of large pans as it is supposed to cater for eight. There is ample space for dinning with a large table and plenty of chairs. The open plan living allows everyone to be part of the action but it’s large enough to be able to split off if wanted. The beds were really comfortable and all linen and towels were clean and fresh and in good condition. There is a boot / utility room that houses the boiler which is very useful for drying coats, boots and wet dogs.
The garden runs back and front and is secure for children and dogs. The entrance key system works very well and allows some independence between family members. The main negative for the house is the condition of the windows which need attention due to opening and closing mechanisms. Having said that the owners responded very quickly to our request for help.
With regards to the rest of the complex, all areas were excellent, lovely pool with jet stream, great child’s activity room, fantastic tennis court and even a safe kids outdoor play area. Great home from home accommodation.

really glad we were able to go on our holiday, the cottage was well prepared and organised to accommodate covid restrictions.
for the amount that cottage accommodates, we feel that some aspects could be strengthend:
another toaster or one that has more than 2 slice
at least one more frying pan
shower door didn't fit well

we appreciate that some items may have been removed due to covid. we found all the beds to be very comfortable and the cottage spacious and private.

Thank you for your review. Guest feedback is always welcome. I am pleased you had an enjoyable stay. We are pleased to know that you found the cleaning and housekeeping standards up to scratch and that you felt the property was well prepared according to Covid-19 guidelines. We can certainly look at providing a 4 slice toaster in End Cottage and also a second frying pan. We will check the shower door on Friday - thanks for letting us know. We are happy to look at these things during your stay if just email us with the details.

A lovely, peaceful, spacious cottage in a great location. The gardens, front and back were ideal for our 2 dogs and 3 children. We made use of the swimming pool in the main area, which was a great size and we actually preferred having a timed slot each day just to ourselves. Lovely beaches nearby, and lots of attractions to visit. We had a great stay and would recommend.

Six of us and two dogs stayed in End cottage over Christmas , we all throughly enjoyed ourselves and made great use of the swimming pool and games room. We had a few days out visiting Wells next the sea ,Cromer and Kings Lynn we were very lucky with the weather. Everything about the cottage is beautiful and cozy. We cannot fault the service we received from Zoe and Amy any issue was dealt with immediately.

We came for our annual winter break with friends and what a fantastic choice of cottage we made. The young lady I believe her name was Zoe came out in torrential rain to greetus and take us to the cottage and wow what a cottage. Absolutely beautiful, fresh baked cake waiting for us ,milk in the fridge, tea and coffee ready and christmas decorations up. Absolutely fantastic welcome.
A lovely location , quiet , peaceful and close to the coast. Lovely beaches and a warm swimming pool to welcome us back. What more can we say its a stunning place to stay and we will definitely be back.

One slight negative was the sounds from the airfield three miles away in the evenings. This did not spoil our stay at all.

This is our second time staying at End Cottage as we loved it so much last year we booked again as soon as we got home! The cottage is beautifully decorated and had plenty of space inside and out. We have three children between ages of 3-8 and the onsite facilities were perfectly suited. They loved the field with swings and slide to run off steam at the end of the day and the pool was used pretty much every day and really fab. The location of the cottage is ideal as it is not far from Wells, Brancaster and Hunstanton beaches which are all very beautiful and family friendly. There's also lots of fun days out within an easy drive. All in all we couldn't recommend this cottage enough. It has been the base for two wonderful family holidays.

We enjoyed our stay at End Cottage, and the fine weather was a bonus, as there are large gardens to the back and front, as well as a patio with furniture, which we used extensively. The children in our party made good use of the pool and games room. The property was very clean, apart from one bedroom which was dusty.
The customer service was poor in the early stages, as our e-mails to Lynne failed to produce any response. We changed the booking from two dogs to one, but had to send a cheque for the balance, as the online invoice had not been changed to enable us to pay online (despite a phone call to Lynne requesting this). Even then, we did not get a receipt until the booking was handled by Zoe just prior to our arrival. The customer service we received from Zoe was first class - full marks to her!
There was a small issue with the barbecue, which had not been emptied and cleaned by the previous occupants, but when we reported this to the office, the matter was dealt with extremely promptly.

We spent a week in the cottage with our family. Party included a baby a toddler and 4 adults. There was plenty of space for all of us including the dogs. The garden was an excellent space for both dogs and children. Cottage was fully equipped and provided for all the babies needs. Beds were comfortable and a large open plan ground floor meant we could see what the children were doing at all times.Would definitely stay there again. Only draw back was not much around to do in the area ie pubs restaurants etc, needed to travel by car.

End Cottage was perfect weather was awful but that is beyond anyone’s control. The cottage is spacious with lovely homely touches large safe gardens for the dogs. Swimming pool was great. Zoe was so helpful and friendly she is a is such an asset to Cranmer Cottages. I hope we will be returning soon.

House was good. Facilities were very good. Zoe was excellent.

Some things needed fixing and Zoe got them fixed.

House was short of good sharp knives and oddly only had one chopping board, a drainer for washing up and a grill pan and grill to cook bacon (essential for this holiday).

We had an indoor ant visitation on the first night (hallway).

We may be back with even more family next year.

The cottage is nice, though a little tired and out dated, and whilst everything ticked all the boxes, it did so to a basic level. This is one of the more expensive cottages that we’ve stayed at, and whilst we had a nice holiday we found the cottage not worthy of the its price.

The pool is lovely and the main campus very nice, but End cottage is removed from the main campus and you can only reach it by walking down a road.

The customer service before and after the stay were very poor, they didn’t respond to emails or phone calls, however they were attentive during the stay and quickly repaired the dishwasher, Hoover and external light when asked.

Hi Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I am sorry that the cottage did not live up to your expectations. All of our guests benefit from our privately owned and managed luxury indoor heated pool, games room grounds and tennis courts. The property has had fresh decoration and a deep clean which has been checked, in preparation for the season. End Cottage is our pet friendly 4 star graded property, it is well-equipped and comfortably furnished to the same standards as our other properties, it is a traditional 2 story farm cottage and does have a different feel from our other single story 4 and luxury 5 star gold rated barn conversions on the main site. The cottage benefits from having extensive private fenced gardens and private parking for 2 - 3 cars. There are outside security lights in both garden areas - these are not designed to stay on at night. We are constructing an internal pathway linking this property to the main gardens which will make life easier and this will be finished for the summer. We are available by phone, email and text throughout our guests' stay for emergencies. The office is open from Monday to Friday and we personally meet and greet until 7.00pm. We aim to reply to guest emails usually within 24 hours unless the matter is urgent. Our direct contact details are published in our house manual along with instructions for use of electrical appliances and information about our local area..

We had a most enjoyable stay in Cranmer Country Cottages over the weekend 02-05 November, it exceeded our expectations. The weather was extremely good, better than forecast, so we were able to do a bit of walking and exploring the local area. We were also able to take advantage of the swimming pool and the games room during the evening.
The cottage its self was very well equipped and clean.
The staff were extremely helpful and we felt very well looked after.
I would definitely recommend Cranmer Country Cottages to friends.
Thank you for a most enjoyable stay.

Alex

4th time at Cranmer cottages and we will be certainly staying at the End Cottage again. It is perfect for our family of 5 with additional family members who joined us during the week. We love the pool and the grounds, as well as the perfect location for some amazing beaches and nature beauty. We'll be back again! Jenny

Hi Jenny Thank you for taking the time to review us.Location: End cottage is 200 yards away from the main cottage complex. Next year we will have a private pathway leading from End Cottage to the main Cranmer site - this will make the cottage feel more apart of Cranmer and will avoid guests having to walk along the roadway to access tennis courts and grounds. Thanks Lynne

Just comeback from a lovely weekend, with our labrador Tilly well catered for. There is plenty of enclosed outside space, countryside walks from the front door, and the coast near by. The cottage is attractive, clean and comfortable and along with the friendly welcome when we arrived, we'll definitely be returning.
