This was our second visit to the camping pod at Parkgate Farm. The pod is comfortable and well fitted out. The only potential problem I could see was the high step up and down to the pod. The toilets and laundry facilities were excellent. We didn't actually see the owners this time, though there was a contact number provided for if there were any problems. It was a good place to stay for our visit to Workington on the Saturday. On the way home on Sunday we visited the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, which is situated not far from where the pod is situated the Ravenglass end is the nearest and did not take long to reach at all.

Soon as we got to the campsite Sandy showed us our pod. For the price it was really good. £61 for a basic pod for 1 night was brilliant. Sandy then went on to tell us about wast water and how it was well worth a visit. She most certainly wasn't wrong. It was absolutely breathtaking. It was only 15 min away from the site. In the evening we went to Seascale to watch the sun set and again truly breathtaking. The campsite itself was very clean and had all sorts of amenities such as washing machine/dryer, showers, toilets which was very clean. Cleaner than most hotels to be honest. Was definitely worth the 4 hour drive. Will be visiting again in the future but for longer in one of the bigger pods which Sandy very kindly showed us around. Excellent site with excellent service.

I am still feeling the flavour of ParkGate Farm. Beautiful place at beautiful location. Customer service was just excellent. Stay was so peaceful and facilities are just fantastic.
Views around are amazing and it is close to famous places such as Hard Knott Pass.
I will highly recommend this place!

We had enjoyed our stay very much and although there was some bad weather we still made the most of it and we will definitely be coming back. The owners were very polite and friendly and I felt like that made our stay so much better so thank you! Everything was clean and tidy and I we didn’t have any issues finding anything because it was all there in front of us. Thank you so much we loved it!!

The pod was clean and ready to go on arrival. For a couple with two dogs there was still enough space to sit in when it lightly rained. The view from the pod is stunning and it was a quiet and comfortable campsite with all the amenities we needed. Couldn't ask for more, thankyou so much!

A great little refuge from the rain! Beautiful location and Rachel and Bruce were fabulous hosts. Lots of space for the kids to play and the donkeys were very friendly neighbours (take an apple ). Shower facilities were excellent with family bathrooms (very handy) and the wash up area had lots of games and toys to keep everyone entertained. Could do with a communal fridge for us (there is a freezer and freezer blocks) but otherwise, it had everything you could want! Thank you for a fun stay!

We would unreservedly recommend this site. We both enjoyed our 2 night stay. The two people we met (Sandy & Bruce) did all they could to make sure we were had all we needed. The site is in a beautiful area. We arrived when it was dark, and the satnav told us we had arrived before we reached the gate. We had come over Hard Knot Pass, and from that side the sign at the gate is not easy to spot. Not so difficult from the other way though.
