We really loved the set up of the cabin, it had everything in it that you needed. We also liked the added extras of being able to buy S’mores kits! And the park wardens Sandy & Bruce were very friendly and helpful. We definitely want to come back! Our only negative was not staying an extra night.
Fantastic location and owners could not have been more helpful and friendly . The facilities are very clean and very good . The site is lovely and the pitches very good with excellent views . It’s a quiet site with good access . Can recommend the bower house for food as well . Will be back for sure

The second time staying at Parkgate, it was just right, lovely views, warm, facilities brilliant, especially as I’ve got dogs to, just right couldn’t be any better, hopefully be back again soon, Thankyou.

Our third year on the trot here. We absolutely love coming to Gap Cottage. If you’re looking for all mod cons this isn’t for you, but if you want to get away from modern life this will be perfect for you.

Was a really great stay at Parkgate Farm. The campsite is really well maintained and very scenic. Sandy and Bruce are really lovely and will take care of you. The camping pod withstood the wind and rain really well, was comfy and a decent temperature. Can't recommend this place enough, will definitely be back soon
Great little site, with cracking views! Tent pitch and showers were both fab and will definitely be back in the summer months to experience the cabins
My friend and I very much enjoyed our stay in the cottage. It was comfortable and a relaxing place with just the right level of equipment, heating and facilities. I have been to Ravenglass before and love its quiet beauty - just a pity that the shop has now gone. Enjoyed a drink in the Inn, a meal in the Pennington with lovely staff and a tour of the alternative. Lodges (but too expensive!). Perhaps, on a future visit, I may even find the Ratty Arms open! We were extremely lucky with the weather as we were tackling some of Wainwright’s Outlying Fells (soggy!). Thanks again.

We stayed here with a couple of friends to hike Scafell Pike and Sca Fell. The cabin is located just a 20 minute drive from Wasdale Car Park. The cabin is fully equipped and offers great views over the hills in the Lake district. We would definitely recommend staying here and will be staying here again on our next trip to the western lakes.
What an amazing site we originally was camping in our roof tent unfortunately the weather got the better of us and we had to take the tent down before it got damaged i rang Rachel in panic to see if they had anything we could stay in they put us in one of their amazing caravans for the night, Lovely helpful people so friendly and understanding thank you so much lovely clean camp site we cant wait to come back when the weather is better.
Super communication from site wardens in advance. Lovely site. Great location for walking up Scafelle Pike. The honesty shop was a lovely addition.
We had a wonderful time. Everything was perfect. We would come back to this gorgeous place in the wonderful Lake District.
Picture perfect, pitch ideal, campsite very well maintained, facilities kept immaculate, staff friendly and helpful and lovely little touches like essentials left with honesty box to pay so no trouble with shop closing times and toys left to keep kids entertained. A realy well thought about campsite , would love to go and stay again.
Another great break at Parkgate Farm caravans. Clean, tidy and comfy great for us a d the dogs. Loads to do close by or from the door.
We have now stayed on two occasions on this site. Both times have been absolutely perfect. Great location - spectacular views - Really clean and tidy - and great owners. The bonus is you can have a camp fire... take your own or rent from the owners, plus logs available. We would highly recommend this site and will definitely be returning.
Following total knee replacement surgery we needed a relaxing break and this provided us with just that. The two dogs relaxed as soon as we walked into Harter Cottage, remembering it from previous stays. Even during a power outage caused by a storm the site wardens kept us informed of the situation. Thanks again for the relaxing break and we are already planning our return.
