We stayed here for 3 nights in our motorhome and met up with friends who were staying in one of the caravans. We tour a lot and this was one of the nicest sites we have stayed in. Pitch 2, amazing views. A cabin supplied all those little things you may have forgotten or need, such as walking poles ,firelighters batteries, even selling hand knitted hats! It is a peaceful rural location so bring plenty of food. We cycled and walked from the site. Our friends caravan was spotless, overlooked the donkeys and we watched deer in the evening.
The stewards so friendly and informative. Always ready for a chat. 10 out of 10 for this site.

The campsite really exceeded our expectations. It was the really well kept and Sandy and Bruce made the experience so comfortable and also very memorable for our boys. I will be telling all of my friends and family about this place!

We enjoyed our first 5 nights with Sandy and Bruce that we returned from Northumberland to stay another 5 before heading back to the Jurassic Coast!
We can’t recommend Parkgate Farm enough!
Nothing is too much trouble for our hosts who delight in ensuring your stay is as good as it can be on every front; even down to the bird feeders where you can watch blue tits and robins!

Bruce and Sandy were the most amazing thoughtful, friendly and helpful hosts who made our stay so good we are staying again on our return journey home!
We had such helpful information by email sad we left home to give us the best route avoiding narrow roads with pot camper van. We are new to camper van life, this was our first trip away from Dorset and they set the bar very high.

What a find! The site was wonderful. Quiet, clean, really well maintained. Sandy and Brian, the wardens, were friendly and helpful. It's one of the nicest sites we've been too.
The site is in a great location for those wanting to explore the Western Fells. It was a short drive to Hard Knott and we walked from the site to Whin Rigg and Illgill Head (11.5 miles out and back). Wast Water was also a short drive away.
We will definitely return here, it's a gem.

What a fantastic campsite! Park Farm Holidays was incredibly easy to find, and from the moment we arrived, Bruce and Sandy made us feel completely welcome. They were friendly, helpful, and took the time to explain where everything was, which made settling in effortless. The site itself was immaculate—beautifully maintained with spotless facilities. The setting is absolutely stunning, peaceful and scenic, making it the perfect getaway. We’ll definitely be coming back!

A busy, well managed site with wonderful views and plenty of local walking. There are lovely beaches and plenty of places to eat nearby. This is a very family friendly site so perhaps best to avoid during the school holidays if you prefer peace and quiet.

Bruce and Sandra (who are the site wardens) were so lovely and helpful. The site itself is tucked away in a perfect location. We loved how it was only a really small site with plenty of open space for the children play in the middle and a football area for a kick about. The showers and loos are finished to a good standard. There was even a small channel prepared around our pitch for a lake land downpour (was required). More than one good pub very close and only 20 minutes in the car to the heart of Eskdale. Lovely site indeed!

Me and 3 other friends stayed at parkgate for a long weekend get away. From the moment we arrived sandy and bruce were so attentive and lovely, they helped us with any problems and were only a text message away when needed. The facilities were clean and tidy 24/7, even in the rain. Would highly recommend and we will 100% be back.

Beautiful site and location, spotlessly clean. Plenty of room and wonderful views.
Made to feel incredibly welcome on arrival and nothing was a problem.
I came with a dog and there were fabulous walks from the site.
Washing area and toilet facilities were immaculate.
Lots of additional items available to make your stay perfect.
