The day of travel we had a LOVELY text from Sandy and Bruce ( Site Wardens ) letting us know we can reach out to either one of them during our stay for any assistance. They even advised not to follow sat navs, if you aren't familiar with the Lake district or it's your first time ( like it was ours ) this comes in handy as you drive on the main roads and see PLENTY of signs advising not to follow the sat nav!! We could also contact Sandy and Bruce to pre-order Wood, Charcoal and S'mores packs! Life savers when it's another 30/40 minute drive to a town with shops to buy such! The site also has a handy little shop on the camping grounds by the main shower blocks, using the cash honour system.

Tinkler Craggs is the bottom most property of the line which gives you a feeling of privacy while on the deck! Using the deck to look out in the most amazing views onto the donkey area which also features a pond walk. Most morning and nights we could also spot dear running around. The property came with a lovely kitchen fitting with everything you need for your stay. Lovely Smart TV in the living room with a beautiful window looking out to the deck and view. Bathroom was lovely, minor repairs needed as the toilet would leak but didn't effect our stay, water pressure in the shower was a little slow but so lovely! Bedrooms were amazing, beds were so soft and comfortable almost feels strange being on my home bed now! Extra blankets, drying rack and all the home comforts you could ever need or want! Amazing! We honestly were so sad to leave and get back to normal life.

It is also a working farm and don't hear anything, it's truly a great spot to be. Peaceful. If we were to do the Lake District again this would be the spot! Petrol station out on the main road, which comes with a Spar and most important for us E10!

The campsite is placed in the most perfect spot, right next to Muncaster Castle and the Ravenglass Railway, a must go to spot!
Signal service was spotty but that didn't matter as they had WIFI throughout the site!

I’m secretly hoping people ignore this positive review so that it stays a hidden gem!!

Good value and close to the large pods where it her family members stayed
There I are tents and motor home pitches but well spaced on this site
Fantastic views and only a few mile from Ravenglass railway, Muncaster Castle and Esdale
Loads of walks if you can like fell walking
Just started using this type of accommodation after years of using our touring caravan and are finding places we could not of reached with a tourer

Moose and I had a lovely stay at Parkgate farm in Tinkler Craggs, perfect size for us everything we needed was there. To be fair we weren't in it much as we were out and about exploring The lakes. Lovely hot shower at the end of a busy day. I found the mattress not ideal for my back, but that's my personal view and I couldn't fault anything else. Highlight is the donkeys in the Field. I would certainly recommend Pargkate Farm to anyone, and I will be returning :)

We had an amazing time during our stay at Tinkler Craggs. The owner/ people there were so friendly, kind and welcoming. We had an amazing view from the patio, the rooms were very comfortable as well. The services they provided were also done very quickly and had very good communication. The location of the home itself was excellent as well, with a booklet of information on things we can do/ shop/ eat out was also provided. Thank you so much once again for having us- will definitely come back again soon!

It's a great place and professional service, I'm delighted, and the best assessment, I think, is the fact that I have already booked a holiday for next year in exactly the same place. I highly recommend it
