A fantastic little site - clean, modern facilities and really attentive owners. Lots of walks right from the site and plenty more just a short drive away. Definitely recommend.

Small site. Very well managed and cared for. Everything has been thought about. Our fellow campers were friendly and respectful. Showers and toilets are clean and plenty of hot water available for showers. Freezer to freeze ice blocks and washing machine and tumble drier provided. Perfect location and lovely views. Walks from the site through the woodland and opportunity to make friends with lots of donkeys! Two pubs close by serving good food and real ales! Will definitely return.

Great 3 nights with one of the best views l have had from any campsite. The staff are helpful and friendly and on hand for any questions. I would definitely go back. Thanks for a memorable stay

We booked this campsite last minute and were impressed with the great communication and warm welcome when we arrived. Booked pitch 1 but ended up moving to Pitch 2 which had an amazing view of Scarfell. Toilets and showers clean and modern and good walks on your doorstep. No shops in walking distance so stock up first. We will be back.

Absolutely fabulous. Amazing location and great facilities. Yurts and pitches. My only negative was the lack of electrical hook-up at Pitch 1. It was really quiet with a 'curfew' from 10:00 to 08:00. Lovely showers, clean. toilets and great wash room. The hosts were really friendly.

Lovely camping pitch with a beautiful view. Ideal place to stay after a trip up Scafel Pike. Zero complaints, lovely and very helpful owners, would happily stay here again!

Sandy and Bruce were very accommodating and welcoming. They went the extra mile in helping us with informing us of local facilities.
The campsite was in excellent condition and extremely clean. The location was perfect for the lake district mountain views. A short drive to Wast Water for a walk along the lake side. 15 miles to the nearest town.
I would be careful of hardknott pass if you have a car full of camping equipment and a large car. It was very thrilling but very scary whilst travelling over it.
Overall, it was a very good experience and would return.

A stunning location for this small, quiet site. Toilets, shower rooms and washing up facilities all new and really clean. Really helpful and welcoming site wardens. I would defo recommend.

Personally greeted when I arrived onsite
Facilities were spotless
It was peaceful and quiet throughout the evening
Wifi was available at pitch side
Pitch was very muddy due to poor weather, no fault of the owners and I was advised to park on gravel which meant I didn't get stuck which I did. Would definitely look to return in the summer when dry
Overall good site, enjoyed my staty and would return
