1. Lovely site.
2. Very peaceful and quiet.
3. Bruce and Sandy are lovey and helpful site wardens, cant do enough for you.
4. The showers and toilets were spotless and the water set just at the right temperature for showering.
5. Facilities on the site; washing machine and dryer and books, games, sweets, etc that all rely on an honesty box policy.
6. A nice pub a 5 minute drive away with good honest pub food and fair prices.
7. A spar shop combined with a garage just a short drive away.
8. Seascale town has a Pharmacy, a Co-op, a Chinese takeaway, and a very good kebab shop.
9. The site owner Rachel is also helpful and always ready to lend a hand if needed.
10. You can go for walks directly from the site.
These are NOT CRITICISMS: I have relayed this as feedback to the site owners, but they are something to be aware of if you are booking (especially with a caravan in tow).
1. The Wi-Fi signal was very weak and needed to be reset almost daily to gain a signal for the TV, Phone, Tablet, Etc, this can be affected by the weather but I believe that more bandwidth and or a booster is required.
2. The access road to the site (from turning off of the main road) is very steep in places and also rough and bumpy (this is due a combination of the gradient and the Lake District weather) and of course would cost a lot to repair it, but if you are towing a 4x4 then get a good run up when leaving the site with a caravan attached otherwise you will struggle to make it.
3. We in line with others were instructed to put the caravan onto the hardstanding (nose first) so make sure your motor mover is up to the job otherwise you might struggle to get the caravan up the hard standing and onto the level surface of the pitch.
I would stay here again for access to the Western Lakes and recommend this site based on the above.

The campsite is so well equipped, welcoming and well managed by the lovely Sandy & Bruce. It’s in a gorgeous, scenic area, where we saw the most amazing view of stars at night. Loved it!
Stellar service in sub par weather

Pro- Camp is a small size and not too overcrowded. Not many motor homes around ( we don't like camps with loads of motorhomes) The pitch is a great size for mid to large tents, came with electric hookup and water, the view of the landscape was inspiring and so so quiet. Sandy was super friendly and helpful, she gave great tips on local bits, bent over backwards to help, nothing is too large an ask. Toys provided for kids.
Cons- bent a few pegs. Cumbrian weather is wet when its wet.
Recommend this site! Easy to book and excellent communication!

Great sight with beautiful views. Amenities very good - excellent shower rooms with toilet , basin and baby changing facilities.
Drive into site a little bumpy but ok if you drive with care. Value for money. Pods on site looked really good. We stayed in a Campervan - hard core place for van - easy hook up and water close by. Plenty of space next to van to sit outside and enjoy the views.

Beautiful peaceful site that feels spacious and not over crowded. 360 degrees of lovely countryside views and the grounds themselves are v well kept.
Good facilities that are kept very clean during the day (during the late evening/night the showers can get a bit messy if its muddy out, can't really be helped and is the nature of camping).
Wardens were helpful and welcoming, sending texts the morning of our arrival about the best route into the site and greeting us upon arrival to show us to our site and give a low down on the facilities on offer.
Our pitch had both an electric hook up and a water tap which was extremely handy meaning no lugging of water carriers across the site. Each site also has a large picnic table meaning you don't have to pack your own chairs and tables if you don't want to.
The location is great for exploring both the coast and the lakes. On our first night we enjoyed a walk on the beach at Seascale (just a 10/15min drive away) followed by lovely fish and chips watching the waves crash. On the Saturday we had a lovely walk along the Esk river followed by a picnic on the shore of Wast water, again both only a short distance away (each about 20 min by car). Treated ourselves to a good cuppa and cake at the Sawmill at Nether Wasdale before heading back to site for a bbq. Our weekend was rounded off with a trip to nearby Muncaster Castle.
We would definitely book again and recommend to people wanting to get away from it all and explore a stunning area of the UK.
Even our teenager loved it!

Stopped one night in our camper in June, the static vans and glamping pods looked really nice but for camping the pitches were level, hard standing and decently spaced. For a site so remote, the facilities are brilliant, immaculately clean toilets and showers, well stocked utility room with games and a book swap, even the Wi-fi was up to task for us and our teenager. We hired a firepit and BBQ and were made to feel very welcome buy the two site wardens who were always up for a chat. The use of a bench next to us was also ideal. We were even able to keep our teenager away from his screens for the evening, he want for a short hike around the site, through the forest to the pond (All within site boundary) and even saw the donkeys.
The views from our pitch of and over Irton Pike are not to be underestimated. Its a very wild, green and forested area. I'm Not 100% sure due to the mist and clouds but think you have a view of Whin Rigg and perhaps even aglimpse of Scafell to the north east. Muncaster fell to the south and the occasional toot from the Ravenglass & Escdale steam railway in the distance which is magical when sat in this environment. If you are driving from the south and a confident driver, I'd highly recommend coming over Austhwaite Brow through Ulpha. other than the stop for cake and a brew next to Crosby Gill The views to the east of ScaFell, Bowfell and Crincle Crags as you get near the Eskdale end are breathtaking!
Brilliant!

We had a lovely stay at Parkgate farm. The facilities were great, it was clean and tidy and the people who run the site are lovely, super friendly and helpful. Views were amazing and it was a great base for exploring the Lake District. The site is great for kids, with a free outdoor box of things to do. We will definitely come back.

Just back from 3 nights camping here. Beautiful little campsite with stunning scenery. Quite remote but that’s what my wife and I enjoy.
The wardens Sandy & Bruce were very friendly and helpful, the toilets and showers were very clean, and the site grounds are immaculate.
We will definitely be returning.

Couldn’t have been more welcoming
A lovely, small traditional site in its first year. Only nine tent pitches (some with EHU), plus some gorgeous funky lodges and a little cabin. It is set up more for tents and motorhomes than caravans, which is a big plus for us. Great views over Whin Rigg and up to Harter Fell and the loos and showers are spotless.
A big thank you to the site wardens, Bruce and Sandy - so friendly and helpful, coming over to check everything is ok and just making it a nice place to be
