This campsite is a real hidden gem, Sandy and Bruce are the perfect site wardens. They went above and beyond during our very rainy and windy stay.
It was made more pleasurable by the very faculties. Definitely will be returning when the weather is warmer.

Excellent camping spot. Everything was super clean and tidy which was lovely.
The camping spot was very quiet with lovely views.
There are some towns close by and would be perfect if you had an extra vehicle but we enjoyed a walk around taking in the scenery.
The owners we so lovely and were super friendly and understanding.
Would definitely come again and would recommend to anybody.

Not easy to find, but a big smile on our faces when we arrived. A warm welcome, superb views on the mountains and a basic campsite but more than sufficient for our needs. We stayed for two days and made of course the trip with the miniature steamtrain. Lovely site when you want to stay out of the touristic world!

We stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed the location if this campsite. Plenty of local walks and also close to the steam train railway. Bruce and Sandy were great and very helpful if we had any questions or needed anything. Super clean facilities and lovely pitches. Don't forget to bring some apples with you for the local donkeys as well. We will be staying again!

Sandy & Bruce (site wardens) are lovely. Very welcoming and friendly.
Impressive facilities and beautiful location. Shame we didn’t have nice weather but never mind.
As a suggestion we would trim back the tree over the pitch as the rain plopping on the roof of the Motorhome (from the tree) kept us awake.
The road down was rather uneven for the Motorhome so perhaps when there are a few extra pennies then it could do with a proper surface.
It was a far superior site to the last one we visited and we could tell much thought had gone into it. We would definitely recommend it to anyone.

This was our second time staying at Parkgate Farm and boy did it not disappoint. This time we took our children (6 and 8) and the first thing they did was play in the middle, where all the toys had been left out for every child to play with. They had everything you could think of: badminton, football, hoola hoops, Frisbee, tennis, and so much more. My boys loved it. The best bonus this time was finding a beach only 10 minutes away! Sandy and Bruce remembered us from last time, and just their daily presence of asking how we are and checking in on us, made us feel so welcome. The facilities again immaculate, cleaned daily to a high standard. They even thought about having their own ice cooler boxes that we could use.. Overall 10/10 again and we cannot wait to go again with all of our extended family.

The campsite was lovely, nice and quiet with good clean facilities (toilet, showers, washing up area etc). Both the owner Nick and the wardens (Sandy and Bruce) were so friendly and helpful and really made me feel welcome! I will certainly be back to visit again.

Me and my partner absolutely loved our time here. Sandy and Bruce were very accommodating, and always had time to provide assistance. Facilities were very well maintained and the site was stunning, with a couple of great pubs within 5-10 mins drive.
