Lovely site, very quiet. Toilets and shower blocks cleaned regularly and plenty of hot water. Although the site is relatively new Bruce and Sandy the wardens were very friendly and were open to suggestions made to improve the site for future visitors. Would highly recommend.

We can’t recommend Parkgate Farm enough after spending the night there on our short tour of the lakes. Very friendly hosts, clean facilities and the location was nice and tucked away surrounded by beautiful scenery. Would definitely recommend and come back again in the summer!

Good value for money very nicely located in the Lake District surrounded by nature all around. We stayed over for just 1 nights as we were touring the Lake District. Although we were late to check in since we had drive very slowly on the winding roads from Windermere as well as because of the road works, Bruce was very understanding when we called him on the way to advise and he was already waiting for us when we finally arrived, chatting with us and providing light to help us with parking on the assigned pitch. He also showed us all through the campsite with his torchlight . We had access to very spacious bathroom cabins including a shower an additional common cabin included washing machine, dryer (i believe at a small cost with coins although we did not use them) and some other utilities to be used by everyone.

Went away for 4 days with Friends. Due to life being in the way we were unable to get there till late.
Team was understanding and great we found the site at night (2am) with no issues and our pitch was easy to see. The next morning was amazing to see the views and how stunning this little camp site is. Perfect for a chilled and friendly get away.

Not too sure where to begin with our praise for this absolutely beautiful campsite. It's located well off the beaten track, it's small (so you don't feel like there's hundreds of people around you), it's tranquil - and the owners take the time to really cater for you and make sure you're comfortable (we're inexperienced and had issues with our tent and they actually went to the trouble to help). There's lots of little extras you can purchase as well (fire pit/wood, marshmallows, other bits). The view from the site is breathtaking, the pictures can never do it justice. The walks immediately from it are stunning as well - I did a little walk to Parkgate Tarn up through the woods, so secluded and beautiful. There's numerous showers and toilets as well - these are spacious, warm and of a really high standard. You've the beautiful town of Seascale providing unspoilt beaches about 10 minutes one way - and then you've the Dalegarth railway on your doorstep as well, as well as Wasdale, Wastwater etc. You've two or three amazing pubs a short drive away too (The Boot Inn's food is top notch). Really struggling for any critique of this site, we've had a fantastic weekend (despite some stormy weather) and that's down to the beauty of the site, the facilities and the caring nature of the owners. 10/10.

What a beautiful, clean site with the most amazing views.
We was great by Bruce and Sandy, they provided an informative warm welcome. Bruce and Sandy where always on hand dueing our stay and where the perfect hosts.
The site is extremely clean and I never once saw a mess in the bathrooms or the washing area.
The location is great for getting around yet also felt very rural. Sandy recommended visiting Wast Water and we wasn't disappointed.
Beautiful touch of a text message prior arrival providing advice for the best route.
I have tried to think of a negative about this site and I have failed, it's quite possibly the most perfect site I have visited.

Hello,
we standing on Pitch 6 with a Familytent 5m x 4m with electricity. The size is more than sufficient. The Car is Standing near by and a transportable Table for 6 People. The owner are very, very friendly, the come eyery day and ask for help and for the programm of the Day. We can only recommend the place. Greetings family S. from germany.

Just been camping over the Easter weeekend and had a fantastic weekend the view from our tent was spectacular
The early morning chorus from the local donkeys was even better
Would definitely stay here again
The wardens couldn’t have been any more helpful that they were.
Weather was better than expected for this time of year, even managed to get the tent packed away dry
