Very happy with this spot. The facilities were spotless and very well maintained. The pitch was in a nice position ( it was very quiet as it was November). The little extras provided with the honesty box was a lovely touch and the range of games would be great for families.

Campsite was in a wonderful location, very good shower, toilet and washing facilities. Each pitch was well layered out and identified. Really enjoyed our stay.

An amazing pitch, located at the top of the campsite so you have the best views of the scenes surrounding you and also the whole campsite.
Well kept campsite, the hosts are very proud of the place and the upkeep is immaculate. They are lovely couple and visit you daily to make sure our needs are met.
Would definitely visit again so much to do so many trails and mount Scarfell close by.
Overall pleased with our campsite.

The owners are so lovely and always check up on all visitors! Made us feel very welcome! Very clean washrooms and the campsite in general was kept very tidy. Would definitely recommend, it’s definitely a wonderful location with a beautiful view of the mountains :)

We enjoyed our 5 night stay with our 2 young children. We felt so lucky every morning to wake up with that view. We really appreciated to have a picnic table on the pitch ! It made our stay much easier. We also appreciated all the games provided for the kids. I did not expect so many board games. No issue with anything. And felt very welcomed by the owners.

Great small campsite. We stayed on pitch 8 not 9 but both have amazing views and set above the rest of the campsite. The camp hosts are lovely and definitely are a big plus for the site. Recommend for people who want some quiet time and do not need to be in walking distance of anything. This part of the Lakes is really beautiful. The only negative is the dogs barking at 10.30 ish every night, I presume from the farm as the dogs on site were well behaved. We were in a tent but there were also camper vans on site as well as some gorgeous pods for those who want there own facilities. Would stay again and ask for the same pitch

We enjoyed a fantastic week stay at Parkgate Farm. Our pitch had fantastic views and due to its location, gave us lots of space. Sandy and Bruce are lovely people, very approachable and have great recommendations for the local area. The facilities were clean and tidy. Being able to walk directly from the campsite was an added bonus!

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay here.
The location is amazing: Secluded, but with great views all around. Sitting by our hired fire pit after dusk we experienced deer silhouetted amongst trees on the hillside, ducks flying overhead and a select committee (more than a couple, less than a parliament?!) of owls having a good natter.
The friendly site managers welcomed us on arrival and checked by to see that everything was well with us the following day as well. The facilities are very clean and pleasant to use.
The only slight downside would be the dogs barking constantly for an hour or two on a nearby property around bedtime. But this only happened on 1 of our 2 nights so may have been unusual. Wouldn't be an issue for those in the pods/caravans anyway, and for us campers it could be sorted with ear plugs
