Hurdles Cottage has 2 bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and ensuite, and the other with a twin bedroom. There's also a family bathroom.

Excellent all round

We booked Hurdles Cottage for a quiet, relaxed, comfortable stay for 2 of us in November and we were not disappointed.
Hurdles Cottage was beautifully fitted out, plenty of space with comfortable furniture, very well equipped and spotlessly clean.
We felt at home from the moment we arrived with the lovely goodies provided as a welcome. The bonus of course was the swimming pool on site; again well maintained and lovely and warm for a daily swim. We were spoilt because for most of our week we were the only guests so we had the luxury of our own swimming pool! Whilst the village setting is very rural the drive to larger places such as Filey, Driffield, Bridlington etc is less than half an hour and we were blessed with unseasonably good weather.
I certainly recommend Hurdles Cottage for a comfortable stay.

Beautiful, comfortable cottage.

Would happily recommend this accommodation , very comfortable, well looked after property with everything you need. The facilities on-site are great, a lovely pool which is open 8:30am until 7pm. A well stocked gym, tennis court, a grass area for games and if the weather is poor an indoors game room. We didn't use half of the facilities as we only stayed for a short break and were out and about a lot. We did use the pool every day and really thought it made the holiday. We didn't see the owners during our stay. When you arrive there is milk, eggs , wine and some chocolates left for you. The house has basics like salt and pepper, washing up liquid, dish washer tabs as well as some tabs for the washing machine.

My only negative is the charge for taking a dog. I think probably they don't really want dogs at the property as £100 per stay even a short stay is a lot. And while I understand that they may say they need to clean more it is still a large amount. So for this reason I wouldn't stay here again as there are other properties around Yorkshire that have similar facilities and don't charge anything like that much for a dog.

So if you are dog free go and enjoy this lovely property in a nice area within easy reach of lots to do and see.

Well equipped, clean, warm, comfortable accommodation. Fabulous pool and very good fitness facilities. We met Emily and the lady that services the accommodation, both were very friendly and obviously wanted to do all they could to help us enjoy our stay. Couldn’t fault anything and would recommend staying here.

Had an absolutely lovely week self-catering at Hurdles cottage. You really don't need to take anything because everything is provided.... every utensil you could think of, and salt, pepper, coffee, tea bags and sugar. Even the dishwasher tablets! Take your own tea towel.
The hosts surprised us with a basket of farm eggs, box of chocs and a bottle of prosecco which was a nice touch.
The cottage felt safe knowing the only access is through the electric gates, and the swimming pool was the icing on the cake. We used it three times and had it all to ourselves! Very clean!
Hurdles is located approx 8m from Bridlington where you have all the major shops and a beautiful sandy beach. Definitely go for a ride on the land train and a visit to Sewerby Hall is also recommended. We did day trips to both York and Whitby (both approx an hour away...York a bit less). Use the park and ride facilities as they're much cheaper and less hassle. We ate in every night so not sure where the nearest pub that did food would be... certainly weren't any close to us. But would still 100% recommend this cottage which sleeps 4.

We had a lovely time at this cottage. The cottage itself was immaculately clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything in it that you might need. There were lovely walks with the dog right on the doorstep, and it was easy to access some great beaches nearby that were dog-friendly too. The swimming pool was great for the days when the weather was a bit miserable and again was so clean and well cared for.

Great holiday! We will be back!

Amazing stay in the hurdles cottage. All exceptionally clean and tidy. Swimming pool area lovely too. We used the pool twice a day whilst we were there for the midweek stay. There is everything you need and more. Amazing little touches like milk, eggs, Prosecco and chocolates on arrival really made our stay. Thank you all again.
Had a little chat with the housekeeper as we left snd she was such a lovely lady too.

We booked a cottage here at Eastgate Farm Cottages mainly for its location and the facilities on offer. Our grandchildren had the best time ever in the swimming pool and games room, they couldn't get enough. Of course we also went to nearby Scarborough, only 28 minutes drive and enjoyed the attractions of this great seaside resort.
Our cottage was well prepared and our pre-visit instructions to access the property through the secure gates were easy to follow and straightforward. The fittings, furniture and facilities within the cottage were homely, tasteful and of excellent quality, everything we needed was provided for our entire stay, and more.
We would love to come back again!

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. The facilities onsite are brilliant with loads to do for all the family. The accommodation is cosy, comfortable but with everything you need and more in all departments.

Location is a lovely village, but really close to beautiful beaches! We’ll definitely be back!
