Set within the peaceful grounds of Bron Menai, this beautifully restored former gardener’s cottage is now a warm and welcoming retreat for two. Close to Newborough’s beach and forest, it’s made for slow mornings, coastal adventures and cosy evenings by the fire.

PLEASE NOTE THE SURROUNDING PROPERTIES ARE CURRENTLY UNDERGOING RENOVATION AND CONSTRUCTION, AS SUCH THERE IS A LARGE DISCOUNT ON THE PROPERTY FOR ANY DISRUPTION YOU MAY FACE DURING YOUR STAY.

We stayed at Gardeners cottage for 5 days. The surrounding cottages are being renovated so there’s work going on, but didn’t disturb us during our stay. We had a problem with the TV (WiFi) when we first arrived and customer service was excellent. Everyone we met there were really friendly and welcoming. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard and was immaculate. Kitchen had everything we needed.

There are just a couple of comments I would like to make which will hopefully make stays more comfortable in the future. Whilst on holiday we like leisurely breakfasts and evening meals. There is a VERY small table and chairs - which we understand as it is a small cottage - but it is basically metal garden furniture. It wasn’t very stable and very uncomfortable with no cushions, so we only used it once and then had to eat off our laps on the sofa, which wasn’t ideal. There’s a lovely patio outside. The weather was beautiful while we were there - so it would have been ideal if it had a table and chairs to eat outside. It had very small table and a couple of chairs - so not suitable for eating off. Seemed like a missed opportunity as there is nowhere to eat inside. And lastly, the patio had not been cleaned so was full of leaves and muddy after some rainfall overnight. So although it’s a lovely space it wasn’t really a pleasant place to sit.

We had a lovely break and it’s in an ideal spot for lots of lovely walks and peace and quiet. I think with a few tweaks (as mentioned) it would be perfect.

We had an amazing short stay with plenty of long, beautiful walks. Everything is right on your doorstep, from wildlife and beaches to stunning nature trails.

The cottage was clean, comfortable, and cosy, making it a lovely place to relax after a day exploring.

If I had one small suggestion, it would be to add a few more pots and pans to the kitchen, along with a cafetière for coffee lovers. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay, and we'd happily return.
5 days were too short!
Will be back!
