My stay at Salem the blue Chapel was fantastic. The Building itself is absolutely amazing full of charm and character. It was comfortable clean and had everything I need for a relaxing day. There’s also plenty to do within a 30 minute drive from local attractions to great places to eat and explore, I’ll definitely stay again.
Accomodation in tip-top shape, perfectly clean, spacious, comfortable and modern. Excellent location with good road access to allow exploration of Ynys Môn and near Llangefni to access amenities. Outdoor seating area with nice views of Eryri in the distance.
The property was very well appointed, very clean with great views. There is access to the cliff top via the private garden area, which provided wonderful views of the sea. It is only a short walk into to Trearddur Bay, where various restaurants can be found. Wonderful views from the balcony and everything we needed in the main kitchen and living area. Customer service was also excellent. Would highly recommend.
Really enjoyed our stay at 80 Breeze Hill. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. The decor was nice, we had a comfortable stay and loved coming back to unwind in the hot tub after a busy day exploring the island.
Brilliant accommodation. Location excellent with wonderful views from the apartment. Just across the road from the beach. Apartment spacious and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Owner very friendly and welcoming. Oyster holidays great to book with and answered questions promptly. Very good value for money. Would highly recommend.
We had a wonderful holiday at Nant y Wyddan in spite of cool, wet and windy weather! Oyster Holiday Cottages looked after us well, even providing a hypoallergenic duvet at the last minute. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped. There were comfortable chairs and lots of games for everyone, and the pool table was appreciated. We especially enjoyed the view of the sea and castle and the opportunity to sit in the upstairs indoor balcony and enjoy on the view.
The cottage was beautifully presented, with thoughtful touches. Exceptional support when needed too!
Would definately stay here again. ******************************************************************
Great place to stay… Host is amazing and taking care of the lodges. I would highly recommend this place.
We were in Beaumaris for a family wedding and were unable to stay in accommodation with the rest of the party due to having a pet. Castle Mews was absolutely perfect for us; a good size with everything we needed for cooking some light meals. The bed was very comfortable and the shower is great too - far too often have we stayed in places with poor shower facilities, not here! The apartment is also all on one level which was ideal for our older dog who is not confident with stairs. The apartment is situated in walking distance of all the lovely spots of Beaumaris including bars, restaurants,...more
The lodge was first class. Very comfortable and very clean. Positioned in a perfect place not far away from anywhere you would like to visit on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey. We would definitely like to stay there again. The host was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay.
We had such an amazing stay here. When we noticed the heating was off we contacted the service and got a response + solution asap which was great. Can only recommend. Would come back here.
Really lovely spacious property, beautifully done out and well equipped. Excellent location, with stunning views across the countryside, very close to Criccieth and all its amenities.
Lovely Apartment and spacious had everything we required for a great weekend Close to all amenities and the beach
Perfect location close to shops, restaurants etc. House has everything you need & great for a large group of people, plenty of space & rooms.
This was a perfect place for a family group for a wedding. The back door was the only problem. The house is really comfortable and the walking from the house was perfect for dogs.
What a find! We have had a great time celebrating our pre Christmassy Christmas with our family. Plas was perfect, comfortable, spacious and inviting. Lots of room for everyone to spread out and not feel like you are under each other’s feet. Points for thought: We only spent the weekend any longer and we would have needed to sort the heating as it was too hot upstairs at night. Putting a sofa bed in the first lounge would’ve been good for our group so that the teens could have had their own space. A dog waste bin available. The option for a TV in at least one other room. My place ...more
Everything we needed was there, very relaxing and loved the hot tub. We had a problem understanding the dishwasher despite looking at the instructions. The torches needed batteries.
Overall very pleased with accomadation and location. Our only issue for longer stays was that we only had a two ring hob this needs to be replaced with a standard 4 ring to facilitate meal preparation. Otherwise excellent.
This was our first visit to The Forge and it lived up to expectations. It was immaculate throughout, with a well equipped kitchen and great hot tub. It was spacious with a high spec finish. Comfortable beds and two excellent en-suites. The location is also really good especially for The Oyster Catcher which is our favourite place. Great to have two car parking spaces and our dog loved it too. I would definitely recommend and we will be returning next year.
We have been staying at the Anchorage for around fifteen years. It's the perfect let for a large family getaway very near the beach with a restaurant next door. The accomodation is spotlessly clean. We had a problem with the dishwasher. This was sorted within an hour! We've already booked for next year.
Great 3-bed house in a perfect location just minutes from the beach. The layout worked really well, especially enjoyed the downstairs bedroom with ensuite. The house had everything we needed and made an ideal base for exploring Anglesey. Would happily stay again!
This was a large family gathering and Bron Menai house catered for us in everyway with its internal size/layout - large open plan kitchen/sitting area, dining area, living room and bedroom/bathroom arrangements and with lovely outside areas and grounds in a beautiful setting all leading to a very relaxing atmosphere. The house was amazing inside and its location is beautiful and we would highly recommend it.
We had a fantastic week staying in Otter Cottage. The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful in equal measure. Our children loved playing in the garden and nearby stream, watching the wildlife and nature. The house is very cosy and well appointed. Lovely comfortable beds and always a ton of hot water - just what you need after a long day out on the beach or in the hills. What a perfect little place! We loved it! Please can we come back soon?!
The cottage had everything we needed for a week's holiday. Clean, comfortable and easy access to everything on the island. It has beautiful views and is situated right next to the beach with lovely cliff top walks. The perfect holiday retreat.
Property is very clean and well kept. Plenty of space for the dog to roam safely. My wife is disabled so a bungalow is perfect. The owner even constructed a ramp to make the front step easy. Small negatives are a hard(ish) bed, and no pub within walking distance (though Moelfre facilities are only a five minute drive away).
The Stables suited our party of 7 and 2 dogs perfectly, it was very well equipped, copious amounts of hot water great showers, lovely location and a great hot tub, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would recommend.
I picked a bad week for weather but loved my week here. The cottage is lovely, so comfortable and cosy. The view is amazing and I loved having the balcony door open on the one day the weather allowed. Its perfectly situated, right next to the beach and the coastal path. Very peaceful.
We really enjoyed our short stay in this very well equipped and stylish apartment. It was comfortable, stylish and a delight to stay there. The apartment was also well prepared. Whoever is doing the cleaning did a great job. It is well located between Menai bridge and Beaumaris. The garden and hot tub were also a nice bonus. The most spectacular thing though is the view of the straits. Constantly changing with the tide and the weather they are just beguiling. Hopefully we will return soon. Thank you so much for our goody bag too.
Great location as a base to explore Anglesey by car. Modern barn conversion, clean with basic utilities. Very comfortable bed, and power shower in bathroom plus a full sized bath. 3 sofas in open plan kitchen lounge. Dining table for 4. Very warm no need for heating in June. Spacious with 2 dogs, small garden at front leading to parking area at end. Tea, sugar, salt and pepper in cupboard, all cleaning items. Gas hob and fan oven. Flat screen smart TV, sky broadband etc. Views are magnificent, could do with a small bench or two chairs and table in garden just to sit outside and...more
We really enjoyed our break at Puffin Cottage and were pleasantly surprised by just how spacious and comfortable it is. A useful terrace in addition to a further internal sunroom/terrace, 3 good size bedrooms 1 double,1 triple and 1 single,a large lounge/dining room, 2 bathrooms and a good kitchen plus plenty of storage. Everything is in good condition and spotless. The location is very central to everything and nice and quiet. We would happily try to stay again.
Welcoming property, warm and attractive fittings. Comfortable beds and lots of room for visitors. Only drawback we found was the upstairs bathroom. For senior citizens, climbing into a free standing bath and by juggling having a shower with a loose hand hose was difficult. Friendly owners helped make the break enjoyable,
Many good points especially suited to dog owners : Large enclosed garden but take care if you have a small dog that likes to explore as its possible they could escape under the gate. Decking (with garden furniture) for them if that's their preference. Well equipped modern kitchen and dining for up to 6. 4 x TVs !! Spacious comfortable lounge with conservatory. Thoughtful wet room downstairs showering & toilet. Bright comfortable bedrooms with more than adequate wardrobe and drawer space. Easy safe parking. Shortish walk to Lligwy beach - better around high tide , low tide goes out a ve...more
Five of us enjoyed a week stay at this property which is ideally located for coastal walks, beaches and villages. The kitchen is very well equipped and the large kitchen/diner was perfect for our needs. The cottage was clean, the bathrooms and fittings good and the beds comfortable. It was particularly nice to have all the basics in the way of food and herbs/spices etc in the cupboard when we arrived. The only things I could think could be improved are a) better directions for the last step as it wasn't easy to find (despite being only yards away) and b) it wasn't well set up for sitting or ea...more
Beautiful converted cottage with all amenities you could need. Back yard and hot tub overlooked the dog walking field so not much privacy in this respect, but the cottage itself was beautiful and well appointed. Perfect location to access other areas of Anglesey. I had asked for the second room to be made up as 2 singles but instead it was set up as a double. Otherwise a very lovely stay in a beautiful location. Instructions and access was easy.
Overall a good property in a superb location. A lot of effort has gone into the kitchen but there are some easier things to put right that prevent an excellent rating. The locks to both the front and side doors need replacing, they are frustratingly difficult to lock/unlock and take a long time. The two gates down to the main road are very heavy and stiff they have to be lifted to open which is difficult given the steep steps and overhanging hedge. The heating system is a law untooitself we never got on top of it, Good job the weather wasn't cold. The local authority recycling scheme is...more
Had a lovely weekend break here, what a fantastic location. This place is excellent and so peaceful, kids loved it and so did we. We will definitely come back.
We had an incredible week at this cottage to celebrate my 50th birthday and it was truly wonderful. The cottage is homely and comfortable with a rustic and yet elegant feel. We loved it. We also adored drinking tea out of the owner's beautiful pottery. The log burners were a delight, the bath was huge (this is important to me because we don't have a bath at home!) and the kitchen was just a joy to be in. The views are second to none, the garden is gorgeous, and the pub up the road is just the ticket. Two tiny things: the master bedroom bed could be bigger, and the oven hood is at a slightly ri...more
Llysfor is a big house that I suspect was once a B&B. It bright and spacious and well maintained. The location is superb overlooking the inlet to the bay and a couple of hundred metres to the village itself. The property has a beautiful decking area and a charming small beach hut structure that is ideal to shelter from either the sun or rain. There are a few steps to the front door and the bedrooms are on two upstairs floors. Also located within a couple of steps from the front door are a Thai restaurant and a Pizza restaurants fabulous for takeouts. The kitchen is a bit dated and not easily n...more
What a wonderful location, right by the sea with varied walks along the beach or headland. East to travel around Anglesey .Wonderful cottage very well equipped with everything we needed. (Freezer was in garden shed.) Would definitely visit again.
This property is amazing on the inside and out. The luxury finish and quality fittings give this place a really special feel. We stayed for a long weekend and loved every minute of it. The location on the Bolesworth estate is very grand and this is emphasised the moment the estate gates open for you and you progress along the drive to the property. The location is also ideal for exploring Cheshire and near by attractions with lots of good places to eat. We will certainly be looking to go back.
We had an amazing break at Glan y Don. Cottage location is perfect. We loved walking out onto the beach for early morning coffee’s. Cottage has everything you need for home from home comfort. Our weather was good and the outside area to the cottage up the steps with stunning views was definitely a bonus. We spotted the seals in the bay. Only negative was no blind in the kitchen so not very private in the evening. We wouldn’t hesitate to visit again
Lovely cottage , very remote and comfortable. Owners communication was very good. Great base for mountains and peace .
A lovely bungalow on a great caravan site! The bungalow was spacious and very well equipped … a real home from home! I would have given 5 stars for comfort and cleanliness but knocked a star off due to the following: On arrival there was a full tea pot with many teabags in it. This looked like it had been there for a while as it was full of congealed mold. I gave it a thorough clean. The king sized bed was very hard and could have done with a mattress topper. However this would not deter me from staying here again, as everything else was perfect! I also think the check-in time at 4pm is ...more
The photos don't lie! Just as depicted. Right in the heart of Beaumaris with its great shops and eateries. No TV channels supplied so bring your own.
After staying in a neighbouring property we tried the Manor House for a change and for a special birthday. Was a little dissappointed in the amount of cobwebs in the bedrooms and a dead moth on the bed. The property is so beautiful but just needs a little tlc - i.e. grease marks around the stove area. Chipped paintwork on the painted areas. Pans provided which are not compatible with the hob. The paintwork upstairs has been touched up on the walls but the colours don't match. The sofas are comfortable but dreadfully low! That being said it did not stop us admiring the beauty of the building an...more
We had a fantastic stay at Glasfryn Fawr and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The cottage was beautifully presented and was all we needed for a comfortable and relaxing break. The location was perfect, offering stunning surroundings and plenty of opportunities to explore the beautiful countryside. After a day out it was lovely to relax in such a cosy and welcoming place. Communication and service was excellent from start to finish. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway for the whole family. We will be returning next year. Our second stay at the cottage, great location, well equipped and comfortable. Was nice to get chance to sit in the garden this time as we had better weather!
We had a lovely holiday, the service by the admin staff is very good and prompt. However we were disappointed with the quality of the property,it is definitely only worthy of a 3 star review. Cleaning was poor, dirt and cobwebs and even glass broken on the bedroom floor. The highchair for the baby was in a terrible state, it should be steam cleaned between clients. The kitchen knives and oven gloves were eventually replaced but only on the last evening of our stay. The beds were comfortable though but there is only 1 wardrobe for 6 people and one cupboard was full of bed linen and we had to put...more
Peaceful, rural location, lovely garden and comfortable beds. Well equipped. Kitchen a little smaller than expected.
Very comfortable cottage beautiful and quiet. The TV maybe a bit challenging but that’s about all .Very comfortable and well equipped .Very happy holiday thank you!
Although quite comfortable and fairly clean I thought some areas of the cottage were definitely tired and needed attention Cushions on the furniture in the conservatory for instance The bathroom floor was dirty The hot tub had debris in it
Bella Vista is in a fantastic location to explore North Wales if the weather is kind, or, being so close to the coast, to admire the sea views, if it’s not. It’s just a shame the windows appeared not to have been cleaned properly inside or out for months. Infact, this lack of attention to the finer detail was evident in a few areas when we took handover of the property which sadly left us feeling slightly disappointed. In fairness, Oyster Holidays did offer to come and address the handful of issues we’d straight away raised with them, but to be honest, we shouldn’t have needed to for most of t...more
The property although perfect size is in great need of attention Plug sockets hanging off walls Grill hanging off oven Dirty towels left from previous stay along with packet of codene tablets which was disturbing as we had young children Speaker wire cut and plug left in socket Dirty cups Carpet lifting in downstairs bedroom All in all a very disappointing stay , the interiors are very tierd and needs a complete overall . Was told on arrival that someone would be over to see us and check but never happened
The property was in a lovely quiet spot road bit bumpy ideal for a big family to stay plenty of room nice to have a log fire room to park 2 cars would stay again.
Great location for peace and quiet but close enough for easy access to Abersoch (we biked) Stones throw from remote beach but also all beaches on the peninsula. Property was very characterful, secluded, basic but has everything needed and was comfortable. Not a luxury accommodation but clean, nice and comfortable. Beds very comfy.
We were slightly disappointed with the property. At 6'3" tall I found the main bedroom built in the loft space a real problem with the low ceiling. The stairs leading up to the bedroom are not great either. A very small garden and not quite the views of the sea that the property details suggest...a bit of artistic licence used. However, we enjoyed our stay overall.
Wonderful location with lovely walks & views around it. Beach only 10 minutes from the property which our pups loved as their first time. Garden was great for the four dogs we had with us, fully enclosed. Hot tub & sauna were a great hit with everyone. Weather was brilliant all week, we all really enjoyed our stay.
Spacious comfortable property; well situated close to North Wales expressway making access to all parts of Anglesey easy by car. Our dog & us definitely appreciated the gift bags left, the dog wasn’t a fan on the underfloor heating as he’s a floof monster. The kitchen had all the basics covered, would recommend getting a set of easily replaceable matching crockery & glassware (Tescos basic white crockery & Paris goblet wine glasses). I know I’m being picky but would be aesthetically pleasing. All in all, would recommend & would definitely rebook on another visit to this lovely part of the wo...more
Property was okay, beds comfortable but not ideal for a group of friends. Luckily we were 4 and not 7 as the property claims to accommodate. 5 Seats in lounge (this was counting 2 wooden), outside on two seats and garden did not appear to have been cut this year. Glasses 4 wine. Would have been a squeeze to seat 7 on the benches in the kitchen. No welcome instructions for heating, what to do with rubbish or the normal information you would have.
We stayed here with our 7 and 11 year olds during the Easter holidays as it was close to Greenwood's Family Park (which was only a 10 minute drive from the property). Lovely apartment, very clean and well kept with a fully stocked kitchen and parking right outside. There was even a fruit cake and Welsh cakes waiting for us when we arrived which was a nice touch. We also visited Newborough beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches we have been to in the UK. This was about a 30-40 minute drive away but the kids loved driving over the Menai and Britannia bridges to Anglesey. We spent a day...more
I booked this cottage to be next door to family and the gardens meant that we could eat together. I knew that the doorsteps kitchen was tiny but did expect that there would be a small freezer that we could use . Information inside the cottage says that the freezer was inside the pantry but there wasnt one anywhere . It was very hot when we were there and would have liked to have the facility as stated also we would have liked to have been able to open the front bedroom window but unfortunately it had been painted closed.
I booked this cottage ( having stayed there previously) for my daughter and family to be near to where we were staying. The cottage is spacious and has a lovely large kitchen diner. However the rear bed mattress needs replacing. The springs have completely gone and make a noise every time you move . My daughter and son in law had to sleep on the settees downstairs .
The property was spacious and clean and a good base for exploring. The intense heat was restricting but we got to sightsee some beautiful places. Few downsides were… no mirror or dressing table in the downstairs bedroom that we used. Had to use the one small static bathroom mirror on en suite window sill. Hook broken on door so nowhere to hang anything and no toiletries provided. No shaving point. Towels were old and scratchy though clean. A small welcome pack would have been nice with a few basics after a long journey. First placed we’ve stayed that doesn’t provide this. Maybe it isn’t a th...more
We first discovered Sea Breezes 10 years ago and it had the WOW factor then. After many visits to different parts of the island we decided to return to Moelfre and we weren't disappointed. The compact apartment was pristine , had everything you need and sea views to die for. Local pub the Kinmel Arms , Ann's Pantry and the chippy all serving good food. The cliff top walk to the lifeboat house and neighbouring Lligwy Beach delightful. The Bara Brith cake was delicious, thank you Julia . A lovely stay and would certainly return.
e first stayed here in the 90;s. It has been sensibly updated and in general it was very enjoyable. The dogs loved the garden and weather was fair I had tried to open the downstairs windows and even with the help of the guy staying across the lane we could not get them open. There were quite a few cobwebs which looked well settled. We left 2 days before the heatwave started. Although not that common in North West Wales nonetheless I would hope that the owners address this issue. The size of the downstairs area, with its original, but old front door, would make a stay inside of any leng...more
On arrival, we were very disappointed to find the property dirty. The rug in the TV lounge was covered in dog hair. We tried to hoover it, but the hoover was full, so had to empty it before trying to clean the rug. The kitchen table cloth was sticky and there was food on the chairs. We found a wine glass in the cupboard with wine still in it! The grill in the oven did not work. We could not get the TV to work because there was a remote control missing. We eventually found this under a settee! Still couldn’t get the TV to work, so Oyster sent out a TV guy who found a loose connection to the Sat...more
The property is in an excellent location being within walking distance of the beach, shops, cafes and restaurants. No need to travel further afield, although the peninsula has so much to offer with great walks, beaches and places of interest. You should never be bored.
Enjoyed our stay at ty bach even though the double bed was a little to hard of a mattress for me and my partner it was tidy and clean location was excellent kitchen had everything we needed handy having a dish washer the property was very spacious as there was a party of five it was very good, sofa's were a little uncomfortable when relaxing as I suffer with my back didn't find them comfortable all in all enjoyed our week there.
We enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage. There were some initial issues which were resolved by the owner very promptly. The information from Oyster Cottages describes a Superking size bed in the main room, It is a very comfy bed in a lovely room but it is only a Kingsized. The two singles in the 2nd bedroom downstairs can be converted to a Superking size though. My score of 3 on cleanliness is due to this being an old property and there were inevitable cobwebs in nooks and crannies but we found some of the kitchen items not to have been cleaned properly by the previous occupants. This was rectif...more
Positives - lovely location, good quality linen Negatives- a lot of chipped crockery and glassware, kitchen needs an update (peeling in places), bathroom window didn't open, black mold in shower, shower head didn't fit holder very securely, scaffolding poles left in garden, some crockery not clean, marks on cupboard doors Note, there is a flat above, so expect some noise
Good location for visiting local towns and beaches, meeting our needs. Very relaxing and peaceful location surrounded by woodlands and fields as well as a lake. Owner on site and friendly.
Lovely location, very spacious. Large safe garden for dogs. Garden sitting room perfect for relaxing.
Cottage was large and spacious but it needs a lot of maintenance, the floor in the lounge is coming up in parts which our toddler fall over a few times, carpet on the landing is stain, curtains are stained in dining room, and tie backs are coming off the wall in most rooms, bathroom blind was full mould and main bathroom toilet wasn’t very clean, there are marks all over the walls/light switches around the cottage that could have been easily cleaned off. Lights were full of dust and cobwebs all over the place which you expect in an old property but it had clearly been there awhile. Location of...more
I booked this cottage off Oyster cottages site for my birthday weekend. The spec of the cottage location and pictures were exactly what we were looking for to spend a relaxing extended weekend away. From the moment we arrived the steps and gate to the property looked disheveled overgrown, the gate latch was falling off so you had to push against it to ensure it was secure. The little yard looked unkempt the BBQ advertised was dirty and look like it had seen better days there’s a galvanised bin full of water and rubbish. Once inside on first look the cottage looked ok but once we came in under ...more
The pictures I think were taken a while ago ...yes this is an old property but it desperately needs a makeover soon. It could be described as "cosy" due to the constantly running Rayburn in the kitchen, but that is accompanied by the slight smell of heating oil as well. There is plaster flaking off the walls and cobwebs and dust everywhere and the sofas in the sitting room have very definitely had their day. The cushions are collapsed and the "rustic" kilim covered large cushions are itchy, falling apart and covered in what looks like ginger dog hairs. If the owner is paying someone to clean t...more
