Great place to stay… Host is amazing and taking care of the lodges. I would highly recommend this place.
We were in Beaumaris for a family wedding and were unable to stay in accommodation with the rest of the party due to having a pet. Castle Mews was absolutely perfect for us; a good size with everything we needed for cooking some light meals. The bed was very comfortable and the shower is great too - far too often have we stayed in places with poor shower facilities, not here! The apartment is also all on one level which was ideal for our older dog who is not confident with stairs. The apartment is situated in walking distance of all the lovely spots of Beaumaris including bars, restaurants,...more
The lodge was first class. Very comfortable and very clean. Positioned in a perfect place not far away from anywhere you would like to visit on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey. We would definitely like to stay there again. The host was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay.
We had an amazing short stay with plenty of long, beautiful walks. Everything is right on your doorstep, from wildlife and beaches to stunning nature trails. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and cosy, making it a lovely place to relax after a day exploring. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to add a few more pots and pans to the kitchen, along with a cafetière for coffee lovers. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay, and we'd happily return. 5 days were too short! Will be back!
Accomodation in tip-top shape, perfectly clean, spacious, comfortable and modern. Excellent location with good road access to allow exploration of Ynys Môn and near Llangefni to access amenities. Outdoor seating area with nice views of Eryri in the distance.
We had an amazing stay, communication with the owners was amazing. Everything was perfect. Would definitely stay again.
Lovely spacious house and very ideal location with a short walk to the beach. Very quiet area too considering the bungalow is on a estate. Big enclosed garden for our little Frenchie to run around in. Just a little side note the garden maintence team did start cutting the lawns at 9am and didn't knock on the door to let us know this was starting. We wouldn't mind normally but our Frenchie shot out of the door while the grass cutting was going on and we didn't her to get hurt/run through the open gate. Apart from this we had a fab time and would definetly return.
The cottage was beautifully presented, with thoughtful touches. Exceptional support when needed too!
Would definately stay here again. ******************************************************************
We enjoyed a great week in the winery and Michelle could not have been more helpful. It was lovely, relaxing on the patio and the beach being so close was a bonus. Anglesey is a lovely peaceful island and we plan to return. Would highly recommend
The property was very well appointed, very clean with great views. There is access to the cliff top via the private garden area, which provided wonderful views of the sea. It is only a short walk into to Trearddur Bay, where various restaurants can be found. Wonderful views from the balcony and everything we needed in the main kitchen and living area. Customer service was also excellent. Would highly recommend.
Brilliant accommodation. Location excellent with wonderful views from the apartment. Just across the road from the beach. Apartment spacious and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Owner very friendly and welcoming. Oyster holidays great to book with and answered questions promptly. Very good value for money. Would highly recommend.
Wonderful week for 3 generations. Plenty of space and equipped for perfect family holiday. Great garden and summer house and less than 5 minutes from the beach.
So lucky to have found this beautiful little cottage so close to Benllech beach. The booking company didn’t get things off to a great start, not even providing a full address, just “don’t follow xxxxxx postcode!”, and a google street map link, despite asking twice, but with the help of Hilary, the owner, I made it. Aside from that initial experience, the rest was perfect. So peaceful, all you can hear are birds chirping and sheep in the nearby field. Great views from the garden, fantastic hot tub, everything you could need and more in the kitchen, lovely big shower, super-comfy bed with beau...more
Really lovely spacious property, beautifully done out and well equipped. Excellent location, with stunning views across the countryside, very close to Criccieth and all its amenities.
We have absolutely loved Rockside. It was the perfect family holiday for us with lots of little ones. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and kitchen is fantastic. A very happy holiday
Lovely Apartment and spacious had everything we required for a great weekend Close to all amenities and the beach
This was a perfect place for a family group for a wedding. The back door was the only problem. The house is really comfortable and the walking from the house was perfect for dogs.
Great cottage with east access to amazing walking routes from your front door. The local pub does great food and a fantastic bar for exploring north Wales.
We had the best week with the best weather and the best company. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will be back soon.
This pretty cottage had everything we needed, comfortable, spacious, modern, peaceful and clean. The enclosed garden and field was perfect for my little dog to stretch her legs. Located near Rhosneigr, it’s an ideal spot to explore the rest of Anglesey. I highly recommend this cottage.
This is the 4 time we have stayed at the anchorage.it a great house very close to the beach in a quiet location.the house has almost everything we need. The only problem is the oven isn’t very good.there is a warehouse at the back of the house which is not a problem.will be going back next year.
The cottage was small looking from outside, but my goodness it is like a tardis inside . Very clean .everything we needed was there. The bedrooms were big and comfortable. The view of the menai was so lovely . Added bonus for me was a washing machine. Down side was we found a bag of pegs but nothing to hang the washing on . There is a old dolly dryer but can only dry a few at a time . All in all a fantastic place to stay .
The remarkable Chapel always put a smile on our faces. Obviously unique but easy to get used to and enjoy, from breakfast on the balcony looking out to see, or enjoying the darkness from the thick curtains to get some proper sleep. But the location is great, not the roadside but the short walk to the beach. peddles painted to add to the stream side walk through the fairy woods. This is a great place to chill and with all the things you need - smart TV, WI fi (the kids needed it!), the quirky bedrooms, enough space and everyone needs an organ loft! Thank you for restoring, re-imagining and...more
We had such a lovely time at Minffordd cottage last year, we decided to go again this year. We were not disappointed, as the cottage is just as lovely as we remembered from last year. In a beautiful tranquil setting, well maintained and it has everything you could think of to make your stay perfect. The owner Mike is available if needed and nothing is too much trouble. The nearest town is Benllech which is very handy for food shopping, take aways and pancreas to have a drink or meal.
Overall very pleased with accomadation and location. Our only issue for longer stays was that we only had a two ring hob this needs to be replaced with a standard 4 ring to facilitate meal preparation. Otherwise excellent.
Great 3-bed house in a perfect location just minutes from the beach. The layout worked really well, especially enjoyed the downstairs bedroom with ensuite. The house had everything we needed and made an ideal base for exploring Anglesey. Would happily stay again!
This was a large family gathering and Bron Menai house catered for us in everyway with its internal size/layout - large open plan kitchen/sitting area, dining area, living room and bedroom/bathroom arrangements and with lovely outside areas and grounds in a beautiful setting all leading to a very relaxing atmosphere. The house was amazing inside and its location is beautiful and we would highly recommend it.
We had a fantastic week staying in Otter Cottage. The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful in equal measure. Our children loved playing in the garden and nearby stream, watching the wildlife and nature. The house is very cosy and well appointed. Lovely comfortable beds and always a ton of hot water - just what you need after a long day out on the beach or in the hills. What a perfect little place! We loved it! Please can we come back soon?!
The cottage had everything we needed for a week's holiday. Clean, comfortable and easy access to everything on the island. It has beautiful views and is situated right next to the beach with lovely cliff top walks. The perfect holiday retreat.
The views are outstanding very peaceful area which was great, dog friendly beaches. A hidden gem. We did take a fan with us for the bedrooms perhaps have these as standard.
A lovely 2 weeks at these well presented homes suitable for both adults and children. Plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. Abersoch is great with some wonderful beaches. The host is very helpful with plenty of recommendations.
The cottage was lovely and dog friendly. There are 2 fields for your dogs to run on which are completely secure. Great location with a beach path to ligwe beach
Mountain View is a great holiday house, that feels like home as soon as you step through the door. We found the property to be Immaculately clean, tastefully & comfortably decorated & furnished. We all totally relaxed during our stay, enjoying the enclosed garden, surrounding fields and walks to the beautiful local beach. We were 4 adults staying together so the two bathrooms were ideal. If you like a bath ( as I do !) to relax in after walking etc you will love the great bath upstairs ! The house is large enough for everyone to have their peace when needed but also perfect for coming...more
We really enjoyed our break at Puffin Cottage and were pleasantly surprised by just how spacious and comfortable it is. A useful terrace in addition to a further internal sunroom/terrace, 3 good size bedrooms 1 double,1 triple and 1 single,a large lounge/dining room, 2 bathrooms and a good kitchen plus plenty of storage. Everything is in good condition and spotless. The location is very central to everything and nice and quiet. We would happily try to stay again.
Just came back from a week exploring the island for the first time. The stables was perfectly located to access all parts of the island and Snowdonia. The property is generous in size, ample parking in a peaceful setting with the added bonus of a hot tub. Thoroughly recommend. Observations (not criticisms) hooks on back of bathroom doors and mirrors in 2 central bedrooms would be useful.
Recently came home after a fantastic week at Pengolwg in Criccieth. The house had lots of space for all of us (six adults and three children), with fantastic views over Cardigan Bay. The location was great with walking distance access to beaches, restaurants, shops and Criccieth Castle. Would recommend Dylan's Restaurant and Castle fish and chip shop. Ample car parking spaces. The kitchen is well equipped with all the utensils you need. Only a couple of points, there was a lack of countertops for meal preparation and a lack of pint glasses for beers. All the bedrooms are of a good size and ple...more
Looking at past reviews , this cottage has been a popular booking but the recent new owners appear not to have attended to outstanding issues others previously mentioned . In addition there was a lack of furniture eg coffee table, lamps etc , which had been removed in the sale. The cottage was clean throughout but equipment such as the waste bin, toilet roll holder and drainer needed replacing for hygiene reasons. There is no wardrobe or drawers to speak of. With some investment by the new owners this cottage could be wonderful and it is to the credit of Oyster Cottages they took the issues w...more
We really enjoyed our stay at Murmur Y Coed. The surrounding area is beautiful and the location makes it an ideal base for exploring Anglesey. You feel like you're in the middle of nowhere but in reality you're 10 minutes from Menai which is a perfect mix. As we were there during the heatwave we didn't get much use out of the hot tub but it was a great option to have (doubles as a cold plunge when the weather gets too hot!). As a few reviews have mentioned, the cottage is a little tired and would benefit from a few paint touch ups and a deep clean although the main areas were spotless. We als...more
What a wonderful location, right by the sea with varied walks along the beach or headland. East to travel around Anglesey .Wonderful cottage very well equipped with everything we needed. (Freezer was in garden shed.) Would definitely visit again.
The accommodation is perfectly located in a quiet area for exploring Caernarfon and centrally located for discovering the main North Wales attractions, all within an hours travel. There is on-street allocated parking right outside the property ehich was very convenient. The apartment is great for two people, the kitchen is well kitted out, the bathroom has a powerful shower. The sitting area upstairs has a Smart TV and settee. We had an issue with the Internet which was resolved by Chris the owner. The bedroom is small but the bed is very comfortable.. There were ample coat hangers availa...more
We holiday in Rhoscolyn every year but this was our first stay at Plas. It met our expectations as a lovely country house of age by the sea. We felt very at home there which led to a relaxing week all together. Masses of room for a family of three generations. The kitchen was well equipped with a good amount of crockery, cutlery and kitchen ware which meant we weren't having to run the dishwasher at every meal time. The beds were comfortable and the linen and towels of high quality. A large terraced area out side with additional walled garden which was ideal for ball games of which we play ma...more
. Stylish and comfortable The Forge is a great base to explore Anglesey. We loved the hot tub and having the Paddock was great for our dog. We found the staff at Oyster Cottages really helpful and they responded quickly to resolve a minor niggle ( jammed plug).
We had an amazing break at Glan y Don. Cottage location is perfect. We loved walking out onto the beach for early morning coffee’s. Cottage has everything you need for home from home comfort. Our weather was good and the outside area to the cottage up the steps with stunning views was definitely a bonus. We spotted the seals in the bay. Only negative was no blind in the kitchen so not very private in the evening. We wouldn’t hesitate to visit again
Lovely cottage , very remote and comfortable. Owners communication was very good. Great base for mountains and peace .
Nyth Y Frân is a stunning place to stay; the views, lovely Velux Cabrio window, the comfy beds, the spaciousness and the location were all just perfect. We had an absolutely wonderful stay and Oyster Cottages left a few thoughtful touches, which were a really nice suprise too. The hot tub was a lovely addition with a stunning view and the garden area is beautiful and well placed to look over the Strait. The only thing we would say could be improved was the shower cleanliness; just a little mould on the grout, and the shower heads could have been cleaner. However, the rest of the pr...more
A lovely bungalow on a great caravan site! The bungalow was spacious and very well equipped … a real home from home! I would have given 5 stars for comfort and cleanliness but knocked a star off due to the following: On arrival there was a full tea pot with many teabags in it. This looked like it had been there for a while as it was full of congealed mold. I gave it a thorough clean. The king sized bed was very hard and could have done with a mattress topper. However this would not deter me from staying here again, as everything else was perfect! I also think the check-in time at 4pm is ...more
The photos don't lie! Just as depicted. Right in the heart of Beaumaris with its great shops and eateries. No TV channels supplied so bring your own.
We had a fantastic stay at Glasfryn Fawr and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The cottage was beautifully presented and was all we needed for a comfortable and relaxing break. The location was perfect, offering stunning surroundings and plenty of opportunities to explore the beautiful countryside. After a day out it was lovely to relax in such a cosy and welcoming place. Communication and service was excellent from start to finish. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway for the whole family. We will be returning next year. After staying in a neighbouring property we tried the Manor House for a change and for a special birthday. Was a little dissappointed in the amount of cobwebs in the bedrooms and a dead moth on the bed. The property is so beautiful but just needs a little tlc - i.e. grease marks around the stove area. Chipped paintwork on the painted areas. Pans provided which are not compatible with the hob. The paintwork upstairs has been touched up on the walls but the colours don't match. The sofas are comfortable but dreadfully low! That being said it did not stop us admiring the beauty of the building an...more
Our family group of seven adults had a great week in Lluest helped by the glorious weather. Close to all local amenities but quiet as set back from the road. Very comfortable and well equipped.
We are a family of 4 generations and have thoroughly enjoyed our family holiday at The Outbuildings. It suited our needs perfectly and Oyster Holiday team were on hand to sort a problem we encountered. It was dealt with immediately. Aleia was extremely helpful. It's located in a beautiful setting and very peaceful. We enjoyed watching the partial eclipse and the shooting stars. Wonderful memories made
What a hidden gem! Such a beautiful peaceful place. A lovely house full of character with a wonderful unique garden and stunning views of the Malltraeth Estuary and Snowdonia. There was plenty of space for all 7 of us, plus 2 dogs and had everything we could possibly need. Thank you so much!
Lovely bungalow and very spacious and well equipped....lovely view and great garden areas front and back..It was nice they supplied an iron and ironing board.. We recommend taking small fans for the bedrooms when its hot..I think for the price it would of been nice to have a small tv in each bedroom so not all the time we all had to be in the same room watching the same thing and having some down time after days out together.. other than that we have no negatives ..The bar just round the corner is perfect for heading out for a nice cold pint. We have been holidaying in Llanbedrog for many many...more
Very comfortable cottage beautiful and quiet. The TV maybe a bit challenging but that’s about all .Very comfortable and well equipped .Very happy holiday thank you!
We enjoyed our stay at The Coach House - there was lots of room for our family and the dog, with comfy beds and a hot tub that the teenagers loved. There is a shortage of cups, glasses and other kitchenware for a family to use. The dishwasher didn’t clean properly and left dishes dirty (this had obviously happened before our arrival as I had to wash all the dishes before we could use them). Also, a mirror in each bedroom would be helpful.
The property was in a lovely quiet spot road bit bumpy ideal for a big family to stay plenty of room nice to have a log fire room to park 2 cars would stay again.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bella Vista. Plenty of room for six of us and small dog. Very comfortable and well equipped. A stones throw from Dylan's restaurant and the best bit of beach in Criccieth. Great base for paddle boarding and kayaking. Would definitely return.
Unfortunately the cottage wasn’t cleaned /serviced after the previous customers had left. No clean towel or bedding. We had to deep clean the bathroom etc. We had to empty the kitchen bins all before starting our “holiday “. We have stayed here before and love the cottage, but this time after spending time cleaning etc it did put a damper on our few days away.
Excellent apartment. Ideally situated in Molfre for accessing the coastal path, beach and amenities. Private parking was very convenient. Would make a return visit..
Wonderful location with lovely walks & views around it. Beach only 10 minutes from the property which our pups loved as their first time. Garden was great for the four dogs we had with us, fully enclosed. Hot tub & sauna were a great hit with everyone. Weather was brilliant all week, we all really enjoyed our stay.
We were slightly disappointed with the property. At 6'3" tall I found the main bedroom built in the loft space a real problem with the low ceiling. The stairs leading up to the bedroom are not great either. A very small garden and not quite the views of the sea that the property details suggest...a bit of artistic licence used. However, we enjoyed our stay overall.
The positives for this cottage are the location and the garden. The beds are comfy and bed linen crisp and clean. Unfortunately the negatives outweigh them. At the very least it needs a deep clean, at first glance it looks fine but on closer inspection its filthy in places. It smells musty and feels damp in the main living room, the furnishings and decor are tatty (apart from newish beds). The kitchen wasnt equipped with basics like a corkscrew and scissors and there wasnt much room to store our food and it was generally grubby. Whilst on a lovely estate most of it wasnt accessible which was a...more
The cottage was ideal for a family holiday. Six adults and two children and a baby were accommodated comfortably. The cottage was very well equipped and clean. A couple of suggestions to make it even better. The towels for some rooms were not ideal. And the windows and door surrounds needs cleaning so that the first impression is better.
I booked this cottage to be next door to family and the gardens meant that we could eat together. I knew that the doorsteps kitchen was tiny but did expect that there would be a small freezer that we could use . Information inside the cottage says that the freezer was inside the pantry but there wasnt one anywhere . It was very hot when we were there and would have liked to have the facility as stated also we would have liked to have been able to open the front bedroom window but unfortunately it had been painted closed.
Lovely cottage for two close to a scenic section of the Anglesey Coastal Path and some attractive sandy beaches. This cottage, although quite small, is ideal for two people. There is a well laid out modern kitchen and a comfortable sitting/dining room. It is worth noting that the toilet is downstairs so you need to go down the wood stairs from the mezzanine bedroom to use it at night. Which may not be convenient for less able people. Some more garden furniture would be nice as there is only a bench to sit and admire the lovely views. The cutlery also needs replacing as there is only ...more
Loved the location and the statement had everything we needed and was very spacious. However, noisy neighbours and a racist, loud guest/resident meant a kiss of sleep and some concerning things for my children to hear.
Great location. Bedrooms are small but comfortable. Bathroom (the shower head was very dirty) and kitchen need updating. The stairs are very steep and narrow. The sofa isn’t the one shown on pictures and this is very low. The garden could be a great asset to the property but the steps are steep and narrow. We weren’t able to sit outside as the garden furniture was broken. If you’re staying for a short break this property is ok but I wouldn’t book for any longer.
Very spacious cottage with plenty room for our large family. Especially spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. We found the cottage very clean and no issues with bugs etc. We enjoyed the cows and peacefullness of the location. We did find it strange however that such a large cottage hosting so many people would not have a dryer machine and not even a hanging rack. So it was disturbing that the laundry was all over the place...
The location and setting is really very nice. The driveway to the property feels suitably grand and grounds are well looked after and tidy. We loved the free range chickens and goats were a highlight. On first impression the property was very nice but a heavy smell of dog (maybe to be expected in a dog friendly property) when you walked in. The property is large and has lots of lovely features. The cleanliness was lacking in many areas and many areas of decor require attention. The small bedroom smelled like a cellar with a damp musty smell which wasn’t too pleasant. Paint bubbling of...more
Cute property, with friendly management company but requires maintenance and cleaning staff need training
Excellent tranquil location with nearby access to Porth Ceiriad beach and the Coastal path. Accommodation is adequate. Building looking tired and need of facelift. Lacking any cleaning equipment for cleaning up during and at the end of your stay.
On arrival, we were very disappointed to find the property dirty. The rug in the TV lounge was covered in dog hair. We tried to hoover it, but the hoover was full, so had to empty it before trying to clean the rug. The kitchen table cloth was sticky and there was food on the chairs. We found a wine glass in the cupboard with wine still in it! The grill in the oven did not work. We could not get the TV to work because there was a remote control missing. We eventually found this under a settee! Still couldn’t get the TV to work, so Oyster sent out a TV guy who found a loose connection to the Sat...more
The property is in an excellent location being within walking distance of the beach, shops, cafes and restaurants. No need to travel further afield, although the peninsula has so much to offer with great walks, beaches and places of interest. You should never be bored.
We enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage. There were some initial issues which were resolved by the owner very promptly. The information from Oyster Cottages describes a Superking size bed in the main room, It is a very comfy bed in a lovely room but it is only a Kingsized. The two singles in the 2nd bedroom downstairs can be converted to a Superking size though. My score of 3 on cleanliness is due to this being an old property and there were inevitable cobwebs in nooks and crannies but we found some of the kitchen items not to have been cleaned properly by the previous occupants. This was rectif...more
A character property offering large indoor and outdoor spaces. Very quiet location, car or cycle required to get to local attractions.
This was the dirtiest house I’ve ever stayed in. There was absolutely no way that it was cleaned before we arrived. The floors were filthy, there were cobwebs everywhere, even on the dining room chairs. The dishwasher was full of dirty cups and plates. It was a shame because the house would have been lovely if it was clean. We were going to hoover, but the hoover was full! When you’re paying £3000 for 3 nights, the least you can expect should be a clean house.
Positives - lovely location, good quality linen Negatives- a lot of chipped crockery and glassware, kitchen needs an update (peeling in places), bathroom window didn't open, black mold in shower, shower head didn't fit holder very securely, scaffolding poles left in garden, some crockery not clean, marks on cupboard doors Note, there is a flat above, so expect some noise
Good location for visiting local towns and beaches, meeting our needs. Very relaxing and peaceful location surrounded by woodlands and fields as well as a lake. Owner on site and friendly.
The location is good but parking is challenging due to the building site at the rear of the property. There television is rudimentary and needs upgrading, the fascia on the central island needs replacing (constantly falls off). There is nowhere to dry washing and downstairs doesn’t get any sunlight. There was no visitor information or safety instructions. Ideally prospective renters should be made aware is the attached annexe at the rear of the property which the garden is above.
Tan y Fynwent can be simply classified as unloved, uncared for and uncleaned. The first thing we noticed was the very off-putting smell from the bathroom. In the bathroom the light fittings were very rusty as was the radiator, there was no extractor fan. In the kitchen we found uncleaned cutting boards and roasting pans. The cooker hod was so greasy it as unpleasant to touch. There was plenty of crockery and glasses, but nothing seemed to match. The cafetiere was all furred up (obviously left uncleaned). The ceiling had a hole and cracked. There was a complete lack of cleaning produ...more
Close to centre of Llanberis. Cleanliness of bathroom poor and yard a real mess. Bed small and very soft. Sofa good. Nice kitchen but short on basic equipment.
