Nestled in a scenic spot overlooking Anglesey’s beloved Rhoscolyn beach (Borth Wen), Plas is an enchanting affair of stone, slate and sparkling sea views. Comfortably accommodating 10, this pet-friendly Anglesey holiday cottage has it all, including a welcoming country pub just a stone’s throw away.

We holiday in Rhoscolyn every year but this was our first stay at Plas. It met our expectations as a lovely country house of age by the sea. We felt very at home there which led to a relaxing week all together. Masses of room for a family of three generations.
The kitchen was well equipped with a good amount of crockery, cutlery and kitchen ware which meant we weren't having to run the dishwasher at every meal time. The beds were comfortable and the linen and towels of high quality. A large terraced area out side with additional walled garden which was ideal for ball games of which we play many. All our needs were met.
It was a bit more than we usually pay for our family holiday but we felt well worth the experience..
Other visitors should not expect high end plushness, the house is old, and so there are bound to be areas that require attention. We knew that before we went.
A few more chairs outside by the garden door from the living room for the cast iron table would have been nice.(there was only one) where you can sit outside in a westerly wind.
Otherwise we loved it. Thank you.

We love Plas and the amount of space and flexibility it gives our large family! The outdoor space is unbeatable, location incredible and we hope to return again and again!
That said this beautiful old house could do with a some tlc, the crumbling walls/ceilings were very noticeable we even had some sprinkle down onto us while sleeping. The double beds are on the small side and not the comfiest - with the space all the rooms have some basic upgrades on size and new modern mattresses would make a real difference. An additional washing line for outside would be great too & maybe a BBQ!
Even with these suggestions, we’ve had an amazing stay and would highly recommend - this is our 2nd stay and we will be booking again!

Last minute booking and the customer service was excellent from Will. The cottage is a great location with a short walk from the bay. Will book each year with Oyster now we have discovered them! A very happy family holiday made happier with booking with a good company

What a find!
We have had a great time celebrating our pre Christmassy Christmas with our family. Plas was perfect, comfortable, spacious and inviting.
Lots of room for everyone to spread out and not feel like you are under each other’s feet.
Points for thought:
We only spent the weekend any longer and we would have needed to sort the heating as it was too hot upstairs at night.
Putting a sofa bed in the first lounge would’ve been good for our group so that the teens could have had their own space.
A dog waste bin available.
The option for a TV in at least one other room.
My place mats to protect the table.
The carpet is starting to come away in places which could cause a trip hazard for some.
Option to buy logs prior to arrival, we brought but still had to buy more.
Better signage as it looks like you drive into a field.
Plus points
Well kitted out kitchen but some of the trays did not fit the oven!!
Nice welcome pack.
Lovely external grounds especially for the dogs and kids.
Comfortable beds, tidy bedrooms, clean and fresh bathrooms, spacious and welcoming downstairs rooms.
Bit of a maze inside but great for exploring and possibly hide and seek.
Imposing and slightly eerie external look with a warm heart.

We had such a lovely stay at Plas! The location is stunning and so peaceful.

The house is warm cosy and really well equipped tho would benefit from better lighting outside in winter. I may be on my own but when you have a long stay having access to a vac would also be good - minor details but worth mentioning
Would highly recommend the house its really special and Oyster Holiday Cottages - brilliant communication at all times
Thank you
