A traditional Crofter’s cottage at the foot of Snowdon, surrounded by dramatic peaks and rolling valleys. Weirglodd Ddu is a peaceful rural retreat for six. Recently renovated, it blends rustic charm with modern comfort in one of Eryri’s (Snowdonia's) most breathtaking locations.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage, well-equipped, fab location and mountain views from every window!

Absolutely perfect stay at this beautiful cottage! There are mountain views from every window and it is even better than the photos. Directions to the property were spot on and it was easily found, as were the keys. Everything was very clean and provided the perfect place to relax, with very comfortable furnishings. Two of the party were above six foot and care had to be taken with two doorways, but there is a red tag hanging above to remind people. I would definitely recommend this lovely cottage and its large garden where we enjoyed morning coffee looking up at Crib Goch. Perfect location for walking with many routes starting from the cottage and Pen-y-Pass just 5 minutes up the road for dropping off to walk Snowdon, and we were very grateful for the walking poles provided! One of the best places we have stayed, thank you.

Super cottage in a great location for all things Snowdon. Beds very comfy and showers superb. On the bus route to Llanberis - Pen y Pas and beyond. Pub serving good food a short walk. Enclosed garden for the dog.

Great cottage with east access to amazing walking routes from your front door. The local pub does great food and a fantastic bar for exploring north Wales.

We had lots of happy memories of holidays here in the past but we were amazed at how beautifully the cottage has now been renovated and it has everything you need for a holiday in Eryri. There is a lovely blend of old and new with the bookcase of old books about the area and the slate floor in the kitchen, then the induction hob and modern bathroom and en suite.The Ashdown Pottery pots and lamps add to the decor. The garden is a great place for a large excitable Golden Retriever and the fencing was robust enough to keep out the inquisitive sheep.
We swam in Llynnau Mymbyr in the heatwave, walked up Snowdon for sunrise and had fun exploring Gwydir Forest.
Would thoroughly recommend Weirglodd Ddu.

We had an incredible week at this cottage to celebrate my 50th birthday and it was truly wonderful. The cottage is homely and comfortable with a rustic and yet elegant feel. We loved it. We also adored drinking tea out of the owner's beautiful pottery. The log burners were a delight, the bath was huge (this is important to me because we don't have a bath at home!) and the kitchen was just a joy to be in. The views are second to none, the garden is gorgeous, and the pub up the road is just the ticket. Two tiny things: the master bedroom bed could be bigger, and the oven hood is at a slightly risky level for tall people – my husband nearly took himself out on it. But those are tiny things. A wonderful week in one of my favourite places on earth. Thank you.
