We had a wonderful holiday in the Bengairn Lodges. There was nothing to fault with the property which was of a very high standard. The location was unbelievable set on a lake with breath taking views all round. The owners were very friendly and helpful and I thank them in having the vision to provide such accommodation. To top it all we had fantastic weather!

Lovely stay at Bengairn again. I note that most of the entries in the visitor book are repeats and I’m not surprised. Just sitting on the deck or in the tub watching the birds on the loch was delightful. The lodge has all you need and more. Lots to do locally but no need to go far. I’ve no doubt we’ll be back.

What a fabulous week we had at Bengairn Lodges. The lodges are so well equipped and provided everything that we needed. The first thing that strikes you is the level of cleanliness and the added touches with flowers and welcome pack including chocolates from a Castle Douglas chocolatier and granola made at the farm. Highlights have to be the wildlife, will miss the sounds of the geese and the owls, and the hot tub and fire pit. The hosts were just the best, absolutely nothing was a bother and was nice to catch up with them to discuss the farm and getting the chance to see Robin each day feeding the sheep and lambs. We ventured to Threave Estate, Castle Douglas and I often popped to the community store in Auchencairn for morning coffee and fabulous scones. Really do recommend Bengairn whether you are just looking for some chill time or you are up for a bit of exploring, it’s got it all. And not forgetting it’s dog friendly!

We had a fabulous second visit to Bengairn Lodges. Everything was as perfect as we remembered and the view over the loch is just so relaxing.
There are many beaches and villages to visit and some great walks nearby. We couldn’t have wished for a better break.

Another wonderful stay at Rowan Lodge.
Views of the rolling countryside are priceless. Bengairn really does offer luxury, peace, beauty and a lovely connection to nature.
One of the highlights of this visit was spending the evening in the hot tub under the night sky! Bliss!
Arlo had the best time. He enjoyed his daily strolls and play time in the field, and we all look forward to returning in 2027 for more of the same!
