The location, and the lodge were idyllic. Fiona, the owner introduced herself and made sure we knew she was available should we need. Back to the actual location, the lodge was on the edge of a loch which had many ducks and geese. To sit in the hot tub at night just watching, in the quiet, it was heaven. The lodge itself was immaculate and had lovely furniture. There was everything you could imagine in the kitchen. I would go back tomorrow if I could. We will definitely be returning. First class.
Hazel Lodge was simply exceptional. The interior is clean, modern and provides every possible comfort. Outside the beautiful terrace looks out on the most spectacular view of the loch and surrounding fields. The Galloway area is good for the soul - gorgeous coastal scenery, lovely woodland and plenty of fresh air! Fiona at Bengairn is really friendly and helpful, looked after us very well
We have returned to Bengairn Lodges on several occasions now. The standard of the lodges is exceptionally high, all well equipped with everything you would need for your stay. The beds are extremely comfortable with beautiful bed linen. All furniture is of a high standard and very comfortable. The hot tub is monitored daily. The lodges look onto a loch, ideal for viewing the local wildlife. The welcome gift is a lovely touch and much appreciated. The owners of the site are extremely welcoming and cannot do enough to make your stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible.
At the expensive end of our usual choices but the quality of the accomodation, comprehensive utensils and stunning location were well worth every penny.
