What a fantastic place, we had 4 of the houses for my 60th, the Forge was a special oasis for me and my wife to escape to.
Everything was perfect, and Mel made sure we had everything we needed.
Field Cottage was cosy and clean.with a generous hamper to start the holiday off. The apple harvest was in fully swing, and every one had a friendly wave as they went about their business.
The views were outstanding, and we just managed to see two sunrises which gave a lasting memory.
In the cottage the beds were very comfortable, and hot water always there when you needed it.
The kitchen tap would not turn off (A quick plumbing job needed)

Wonderful week at Gardener's Cottage. Lovely old property very suited to dogs and children. Made good use of the pool - would have liked our session to have been longer. Great temperature in the pool. Good location with plenty to do within half an hour away. Would definitely book again.
The house looks impressive with a large lawn, and was well located amongst the blackcurrant fields, vines and apples. We were a mixed groups of family, friends and dogs and all had a brilliant time. We especially appreciated the large table in the kitchen and the lovely dining room, also the welcome pack, hot tub and the range of games.
However, there were some downsides to the property as it needs improved maintenance and repair. The photographs in the brochure were not realistic as it appears to be in pristine condition. One bathroom window frame was rotten so the glass pane was not secure...more
