Apartment 2 at Highlands is a large three bedroom apartment sleeping 5 with sea views in an imposing cliff top location.

A good find that will be used again in the future

This was a return visit for us, having stayed here the previous year. The location was ideal for us, only a few minutes walk into Shanklin town, and a 5 minute drive to the esplanade. A good base for visiting all the other attractions on the island too. The only minor disappointment, which has nothing to do with the accomodation, is that due to coastal erosion, the footpath steps down to the beach are closed due to landslip. I cannot see this being repaired any time soon, if at all..

Apart from this, the accomodation is very spacious for our part of 4 adults. We only used the kitchen facilities for breakfast, as we indulged ourselves with meals out every day.

Plan to return again soon.

This was our second stay at highlands, and was again a great experience.
Great location to restaurants and pubs.
Well maintained and equipped with added things such as hair dryer washing machine.
Would highly recommend we have booked already for next year.

A well equipped spacious apartment , excellent location at a very reasonable price. Very clean, warm and comfortable, off road parking a great bonus
Only minor criticism would be that the tv could be a larger screen size and the fridge was a little on the noisy side, but neither would deter me from booking again.

An overdue return to the Isle of Wight, the last was some 5 years ago. This was our 1st time renting an accommodation that didn't have wheels attached. We have in the past rented static caravans. This apartment was the largest, I believe, of the 5 available to hire, having 3 bedrooms, but this enabled us to spread out (there was 4 of us in our party). The main bedroom benefits from having en suite with a shower, the 2nd bedroom has twin beds, and the 3rd a single bed. The lounge overlooks the communal garden area, with patio doors and steps to access. The kitchen/dining area is to one end off of this room. There is dedicated parking for each apartment to the front, and for this apartment, access is via the front door via a small flight of shallow steps. The front door gains access to a shared hallway and apartment 2's door is to the right hand side, next to the staircase. The only minor annoyance was with the keys. There are 3 on the keyring, and they all look the same. One for the main entrance, another for the apartment front door, the 3rd for the patio doors. I took the liberty of separating the apartment door key to another ring, to make life a little easier... We found in the end the amount of towels supplied were sufficient, even though we brought extra with us, and our two daughters brought with them their own pillows and quilts from home as well...
We enjoyed the location, literally a few minutes walk into Shanklin town, and sufficiently off the main track to be relatively quiet. I would say, however, the only main disappointment for me, was the closure of the footpath to the beach, due to landslip. This meant a long walk around to gain access on foot to the beach, or in the end, as we did, drove to the esplanade and parked, then walked... In conclusion, we think this accommodation more than suited our needs, that we have already booked it for next year..

Highland Apartments are very well situated with parking. The apartment is beautifully equipped, very clean with the most comfortable beds! Location is very quiet, about 10 minute stroll from Shanklin town with some very good restaurants and pubs. The whole holiday experience was a great pleasure and the staff at Island Holiday Homes were very helpful and responsive, so thanks to them. All in all a lovely holiday.

Wonderful accommodation.
Weather changeable but enjoyed the whole experience.

The Highland apartments are very clean, well equipped, including comfy beds, location and parking. Very close to the Shanklin Chine down to the seafront and a family ticket enables the use all week. We had a lovely meal at Ben’s Bistro on the Shanklin High Street and the staff were wonderful and made us welcome. Good Tourist Information Shop with helpful staff. We packed a lot into our week, both young and old, and the young ones have booked again for next year! Thanks again Highlands and IOW.

Fantastic apartment in close walking distance of shanklin village. Has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Lovely welcoming extras left for our arrival were much appreciated. Will be recommending to friends and family.
