The property was very homely and welcoming , very well equipped . The owner was charming and provided the best tasting tomatoes we have had in a long time ! The bar is also very tastefully decorated with memorabilia from the greatest football team in the world !! The house is full of family memories and provides a very happy environment for families with young children and adults alike .
We had a wonderful stay at Park House. Owners live nearby and they provided all the background and history of the place. Views from BRs, living and dinning are amazing. On a clear day combination of green and blue was very soothing to eyes and body. We loved the place, location (middle of the island) and would go back if we return to IoW.
A charming cottage in hilly Ventnor which we have fallen in love with. We have just booked for our 4th stay next summer.. We love the beautiful building, stunning private garden with BBQ and love the fact it’s in such a great location on the Island. Three lovely bedrooms in a very comfortable home. Our family of 9 people and 2 dogs had a fantastic week staying at Foxhills. The house and garden were absolutely beautiful. All of the bedrooms were so comfortable and the whole house was spotlessly clean. It had everything you could possibly need and the location being just a short walk in to Shanklin made it just perfect. I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone coming to the Isle of Wight in a large group and really hope to return myself.
The apartment is lovely, well appointed and comfortable. The weather was really chilly when we arrived but the heating was easy to change and we were soon very cosy. The beds were lovely with gorgeous bedding so we slept really well. The sitting room provided comfortable seating and a terrific TV, when we got home and wanted to relax. Plenty of equipment if you wanted to cook, although we did not, other than breakfast. Although there is no view from the apartment itself, it is literally yards round the main house to the sea front. Perfect holiday home, located just a short drive from Shanklin. The beautiful garden and attention to detail really made our holiday complete Jan was a really lovely host and very helpful. There was only myself , husband , my mom and our two dogs but this house would be perfect for little ones as there’s a big playroom too .
This was a return visit for us, having stayed here the previous year. The location was ideal for us, only a few minutes walk into Shanklin town, and a 5 minute drive to the esplanade. A good base for visiting all the other attractions on the island too. The only minor disappointment, which has nothing to do with the accomodation, is that due to coastal erosion, the footpath steps down to the beach are closed due to landslip. Ideal position in St Helens village right by corner shop. Very comfy cottage with everything needed.
On arrival the appearance was just as lovely as the photos. Very secure entrance, the stairways were clean and fresh. The books and games were a nice touch. When we got into the apartment it was a wow moment for sure. Obviously recently renovated, amazing views from the rooms. Kitchen well equipped with everything we needed. The beds and sofas were comfy. But the balconies were just awesome. Waking up to the most sensational sunrises, then sitting on the balcony with a cuppa, watching dolphins in the bay are memories for life. We had such a lovely stay at Harbour walk, the house is modern and comfortable and had everything we needed. The property is also in a great location, walking distance to beaches and also The Point which we visited on several occasions. The owner has clearly thought of everything with this property with all the little extras and conveniences such as outdoor shower and hose facility for cleaning off sand etc. We felt very much at home there. Would love to return, highly recommend.
We have stayed in Jamestown 2 twice now and both times have had a wonderful time. The holiday home is well quipped with everything you need and some lovely personal touches. The site is quiet, it was lovely sitting on the deck to have a coffee (or glass of wine!) and read a book.
This is our 3rd visit to the Stables and it never disappoints. Very well equipped, sparkling clean and good position. The Host was very accommodating which was appreciated. A very enjoyable holiday.
We enjoyed our visit but did find the accommodation rather cramped and the fridge was very small. The garden was good for the dogs as it was totally enclosed. The owner is talking about putting another door in for easier access to the garden from the cottage that would be a marvellous idea. The wood at the bottom of the road is amazing.
Jan Dee Cottage is a lovely home from home. Everything you could ever need is supplied. The View is amazing. Sitting on the terrace in the late afternoon sun with a bottle of wine and good friends. What more could you want!
We both really enjoyed our stay at Pinesy lodge, the accommodation was clean , comfortable and had everything you need for a stay away from home, beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything you need to cook meals , if you don’t eat out . The site is set in a very tranquil area, and if you’re lucky you can see the red squirrels. Thank you

We had a wonderful holiday, the apartment is lovely , very comfortable and situated opposite Shanklin beach and on the Esplanade. Fantastic to wake up to the sun hitting the water every morning. Shanklin is a brilliant holiday resort and much loved by all the family.
This was our third stay at Beach House. It is a lovely comfortable house with loads of facilities and space. Christy and Rob always provide treats which are much appreciated. The house is well located between the beach and the town. The climb up to the town is very good for fitness but could be a challenge for those less able. Thank you for yet another lovely holiday - we have booked for next year.

We've just come home after a lovely stay. The apartment was beautiful and spotless. We had all the equipment we needed, and instructions, when required were clear in the information folder. The beds were comfortable with luxurious linen. The staff were very helpful with a couple of queries I had and replied to messages promptly. Access to the bus route is ideal, with a stop at the end of the road. We used it several times to get around the island. Our 6th visit to Highlands and once again a great stay. Lovely apartment with everything you need and great views of the bay.

We have had an amazing stay here. There was everything you could need and more. The area is quite quiet and the neighbours we met are very friendly. The house is very comfortable and there were instructions left for everything which is a brilliant help. It’s definitely somewhere I would recommend.
The property is lovely. Shame we couldn't use 2nd balcony to catch late sun and view. Agent office nearby and helpful. Full welcome pack with all info on appliances, WiFi etc. Lots of birds visiting the balcony and garden. Bright and comfortable. Adam the agent was very helpful with some of the devices. All in all, I loved it.
We have been coming to the island for a minimum of 15 years . It’s the best accommodation we ve stayed in up to date . Shout out to the cleaner it was done to a very high standard. It was lovely not to have to come in and go over anything . Quality of furniture and accessories also very good. Beds extremely comfy too . The house was excellently clean, tidy and well stocked with kitchen equipment, games and towels. Located in an excellent position in Shanklin. Word of warning to anyone with a large car- the parking might be considered small. Also the driveway must be accessed as if heading into Shanklin and not away to avoid the tight angle.
We had a fantastic stay at the Overlook - the position affords an absolutely brilliant view. The property itself is well equipped and comfortable we would like to return.

We booked this flat at extremely short notice, having arrived on the Island only to discover our prebooked accommodation was totally unsuitable and unacceptable. We were there for my daughter's wedding and these wonderful people came to our rescue and salvaged the weekend for us! Within 2 hours of making the booking we were in and unpacked. The accommodation was exactly as described, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. There was even a pint of milk and some biscuits waiting for us. I would highly recommend Esplanade House to anyone. Many, many thanks.

This was our 3rd time here and it has never let us down, a lovely peaceful property so spacious. Love the bedroom upstairs , a nice big garden, good location and its one of our favourites.
Our second stay at The Aqua. This time we chose the Osbourne apartment. Very well equipped, everything we needed was provided. Being right on the esplanade is perfect for people watching from the balcony! The sun rises were amazing. We paid for a council parking permit which was ideal as always a space available on the front, also useful when out and about investigating the island. We love this place and hope to be back in 2027!
We had a lovely stay. The accommodation is close to the beach, which was ideal. I was initially apprehensive about my elderly dad managing the stairs, but they weren’t steep at all, so there was no problem. He loved his room with the en-suite. It was a great base for exploring and visiting different places around the island. We would happily stay again.
Ye Old Worlde Cottage is a beautiful thatched cottage which is exceedingly well equipped. The garden at the rear of the property is full of cottage garden flowers and is delightful. There is a pub and shop within walking distance of the cottage. Niton is a good location for visiting various places on the island. We have stayed at the cottage several times and have always enjoyed our visits.
We spent 11 nights here. It was so peaceful yet central to many places. A really lovely place to relax!
Well equipped property, clean, comfortable and spacious. Plenty of parking. Quiet with Lovely surroundings. Easy access to the village and surrounding areas to visit.
Nice house. Very clean with a very well equipped kitchen. Fresh milk in the fridge and washing up liquid, hand-wash etc provided. Quiet road. Steps up to the house have no handrail that could make it difficult for anyone with mobility problems. Large parking space. We had a very enjoyable stay.
After arriving at the property - we had a little trouble - we locked ourselves out! We phoned the help line and very promptly it was all taken care of. Was very impressed with how efficient Island Holiday Homes are and the housekeeper was lovely. The home was beautiful and had been modernised nicely. The beds were huge and very comfortable. The only thing that we struggled with was sharing one bathroom with 5 people but I missed that when reading the listing. Beautiful views from the front and the back of this property. Comfy and warm. Upstairs bedroom not really as good as the 2 on the ground floor. Kitchen facilities excellent, with nice dining room, again lovely views both ends. Well equipped. Off road parking for my car. Convenient for a bus stop, with very good services all round island.
As a family we had a brilliant time. We were celebrating my husband and mine 50th wedding anniversary and it couldn’t have been better. Our four grandchildren had so much fun in the garden, especially in the swimming pool. We enjoyed our family meals in the comfortable dining room, with space for everyone to be comfortable. Our musicians in the family entertained us on the grand piano. An added bonus. The only criticism was that the oven was a bit small when cooking for 10 people and we could have done with some oven gloves. Apart from that it was a perfect holiday.
Location was absolutely perfect. Apartment was homely and comfortable with lots of lovely little finishing touches. Really appreciated the basic essential and loved the Prosecco in the fridge!
Our 8th holiday at Beachside. Still love that view from the bedrooms (can’t be beaten). A couple of disappointments were that there wasn’t a barbecue and the frame & cushions for the hanging chair were there but no chair. Nice to see a coffee machine and new garden furniture cushions, also noticed the garden furniture has been refurbished. It’s a real home from home. Absolutely love it.
Hope Cottage was perfect for our family holiday. Great accommodation in an ideal location. Rooms were beautiful and ideally layed out to suit a large family. The kitchen was amazing and had everything you could possibly need. The children had a large garden to play in which they really enjoyed. We will certainly be staying here again. Our first visit to the Isle of Wight. Lovely lodge with good facilities for a family with young children. The lodge was spotlessly clean and in good condition. The hot tub was a splash of luxury. Communication and details were excellent and made everything easy for us. Thank you
The owners were very friendly and helpful. Well presented and equipped, it was very clean. Rural location which is what we wanted. The only advice we would give to improve the property is to improve the WiFi service in the lounge, which is quite poor but very good in the rest of the house.

We found this a great place to stay, The accommodation was decorated to a high standard and the kitchen had all the necessary amenities. We were a family of five and the layout ensured we didn't disturb each other. We loved its position in Shanklin near to various eating places and just across the road from the beach.
Lovely spacious accommodation with car parking space which is much needed in this area. Kitchen has all the utensils you need for your stay and milk tea coffee etc left which was much appreciated after a long trip to the island. Very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable rooms despite the heatwave. Really enjoyed our stay here and would happily come back again to this accommodation.
House is lovely and clean with everything you need. Grass was very long this time but I assume due to weather this has been hard to sort. House really needs an info book like other properties have. This needs to include the hidden cutlery drawer, heating, emergency contacts (I’m aware this is on emails but useful to have in a folder) and could also include bin timetable and instructions for them to be put out as these were very full upon our arrival. Very minor things mentioned above it is a lovely house to stay in
Great house, close to ferry and shops. Easy to walk to chain bridge to get over the water to West Cows. It is on the main road down to the ferry so there is some traffic noise but it didn’t bothers us.
I have stayed in this well-appointed property many times as we visit the Island regularly. It offers comfortable, spacious accommodation with many thoughtful additions not usually found in holiday lets. The addition this year of free standing fans in all three bedrooms was most welcome as we stayed during the heatwave in very hot weather. It’s I have said in previous reviews, the only down side to the property are the 30 steps leading up to it which won’t suit everyone but Ventnor is naturally very hilly so if planning to walk to the seafront or town you do need to be reasonably fit. Kipper Cottage is in a very special location with a wonderful view of the creek from the house and an enchanting cabin at the bottoms of the garden overlooking the creek. We had a really wonderful week here on the glorious Isle of Wight.
We really enjoyed our stay at “Poppies” , comfy large lounge and large bedroom, kitchen had everything you need, the addition of an oven would’ve topped it, although there was an air fryer provided and the kitchen did have a hob. We stayed in the middle of a heat wave and the flat was very hot, maybe the provision of a fan would add to comfort levels at these times? Big shout out to the lovely girls at Island Holiday Homes who let us borrow one of theirs ☺️ ( offices just down the road ) Overall a great holiday, we’ve booked to come back.
We have stayed at Sunnyside 3 times over the past few years so wouldn't keep coming back if we didn't like the place. There could be more detailed information regarding waste disposal/collection etc. Also if you want people to use the waste food bin then you could supply food caddy bags.
Vine Cottage is delightful. All rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. Although the cottage frontage is directly on the pavement, we never had a problem parking in the free public car park opposite, even though we stayed during school holiday time. The back garden was looking sad due to the heatwave conditions but the garden furniture was of excellent quality enabling a pleasant outdoors experience. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this property.

Great location, amazing views, however the property is somewhat lacking. Facilities are for the most part fine, albeit the double bed is a standard small, and the box room is an extremely small single bed, with an incredibly uncomfortable mattress. Thinner duvets would be better with a throw blanket than the thick one provided. No bedside lamps in the main bedroom makes it hard to read at night, plus no wall mirror so hair drying was interesting! There needs to be more glassware - 2 wine, 2 tumblers and 1 pint glass means constant washing up...not wanted when youre on holiday. Finally, wh...more
Although the cottage appeared clean there were loads of skinny spiders everywhere, especially corners by beds & the sofas in the living room . Bedding was v clean & fresh. Generally the towels & the flooring needs upgrading. (sea grass matting very difficult to clean & very rough. ) Also, with the heat (as it was forecast ) there were no fans provided. We had to bring our own !! Not good enough!! These should be provided as standard . Loads of cooking equipment available. , but only 6 mugs!! Could do with a few more please! Unfortunately, our stay at 52 Napoleons Landing was disappointing. We experienced a leaking shower, an inadequate alternative shower, contractors having to attend on two occasions to try to rectify this during our holiday, and scaffolding which significantly obstructed the balcony view. The scaffolding had not been disclosed before arrival, despite the view being a major feature of the property. We also had cleanliness concerns and found pyjamas belonging to a previous guest screwed up at the bottom of the wardrobe, which suggested the property had not been properly checked between guests. ...more
Our party of 7 had a lovely week in Kildare. We had everything we needed at the property and the location was great. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
We had a lovely stay, The moment we opened the door and walked in. The property was spotlessly clean and tidy and everything we needed is provided for our small family. We were visiting the island from living abroad and this was a first time back to UK for 18months. The property is just around the corner from my parents. So, we had a lovely family Christmas for the first time for many years. The house was very warm and cozy, and was great for our winter break. We are planning to return again in the summer. So, there are more places open for us to take the kids too in the better weather....more
This was a great location, close to some lovely walks and short car drive from the beach. Key pick up from the gift shop was fine & the maintenance man was really friendly & helpful showing us round etc. The cottage has mostly everything you need, although for us a small freezer compartment would have been helpful to refreeze our ice packs when heading for a day at the beach. Unfortunately, we found the mattresses on the beds old & the metal springs could be felt. Also the sofas are also quite saggy. If these things were remedied, we would be happy to stay here again.

Had a really lovely time here. 5 adults, 1 two year old and dog. Garden not quite small dog proof but we managed. Lovely weather so enjoyed lots of barbecues in the garden. Great position for visiting all the “hot” spots so in all a great place to stay when visiting IOW

Lots of positives to the Freshwater - great location, well equipped, spacious, comfy bed. Just a shame about the 2 sofas which were very uncomfortable. The owners have clearly spent a lot of money refurbishing this ex hotel and have made a great job of it, unfortunately they have scimped on the sofas. Cleanliness was excellent but I think they forgot about the balcony which was scruffy and had rusty furniture.
A beautiful family home with an absolutely great layout - lovely big eat in kitchen (the photos don't quite do the size justice) and huge garden (which, despite being on a steep slope, has large terraced sections for games - including football goals which our kids loved!) As others have mentioned the kitchen is really well equipped: you have everything you need to make whatever you want (including e.g. air fryer, meat thermometer, scales, all possible pots/pans/dishes). We were a family of 6 adults and 3 children and found the house to have everything we needed. The children loved playing in the garden. It was a great base for getting to everywhere on the island. Our only gripe was that it is difficult to park two cars on the driveway, definitely suited to better to one car. Although the car park down the road is useful.
Broadways was a very well equipped and comfortable bungalow and my wife and I enjoyed our stay, despite the Island weather not meeting its usual high standards. Our daughter, son-in-law, son and grandson joined us for the last 3 nights and they were very impressed with the comfort and facilites, particularly the fabulous conservatory and kitchen. The cottage was very handy for me to visit relatives on the island . Unfortunately it was absolutely awful weather 90% of our stay!! But constant hot water plus heating if needed ( yes even in June lol), was great. Very clean , 10/10 to whoever looks after it! But to note that although it comes with a washing machine in the outhouse it is not a dryer as well . The washing line is only able to take max 4 garments , so you need to keep in mind if you have children with you . But idea for 2 , and right near the town / shops/ pubs/ restaurants..& the sea! ❤️

We have been staying on the island for over 40 years. We started off in a tent, then trailer tent, then caravans and now houses. The house was perfect size and configuration for my family. The location is perfect. The house is in need of TLC. It deserves love. The carpet in the hallway needs taking up and a tiled or wooden floor putting in. The stains are from many months of years. The fridge drawer is broken, needs replacing. The garden needs cutting back. These are small things that could easily be done. The bins had not been emptied, I reported it to island h...more
We had a peaceful stay at Baltija. It’s quiet location suited us perfectly as we could take walks right from there to the coastal path but also easily explore the whole island by car. The bungalow itself if comfortable and has everything you need. We enjoyed our stay very much.
The house at Brooks Close is perfect for what i need, great with a couple of dogs as i take my own covers for everything. The downstairs wet room works really well when you've been for a swim in the sea and the kitchen has everything needed if I wanted to eat at home. Location wise it couldn't be better, 3 minute walk to the beach and about the same to the local shop. Whilst the house is a little tired, it works well for me and the price reflects its state.
Baby’s bottle found under table and crumbs in the sofa. Very steep hill to climb which my husband struggled as had recently had a heart attack so very unsuitable
We had a nice stay at pebble cottage. There is room for improvement from the ‘cleanliness’ and ‘comfort’ aspect. A few hairs were found throughout the property (wardrobe, bed, bathroom), dirt in the upstairs carpet and left over clothing tags and a girls vest in the wardrobe. Lack of shower curtain in the bathroom meant the floor got very wet when showering. The bed in the main bedroom was quite small and the sofa quite uncomfortable in the living room. We had a lovely family holiday staying at Norlands. The situation was ideal as everyone could get out and about without a car. We were able to make full use of the houses amenities especially the garden for games and shade. This is a families holiday home that was equipped accordingly, however there was no bbq. Brought our own as need with 2 weeks of excellent weather! A few things needed a bit of attention but didn't impact greatly. Worked for us as we loved the house and came with no great expectations.
Sadly the property that we originally booked was unavailable, so settled on the Clock Tower. The property was much smaller than the one we originally booked and was in a state of poor repair, the furnishings were uncomfortable as was the bedroom, where we endured a number of flea bites during our stay, both my wife and I had a nasty rash over our bodies. The photos gave an impression that there was an upstair room, such as maybe a bedroom, sadly led to a couple of storage rooms full of cobwebs and the owners spare parts in drawers. First of all the late check-in and early check-out was surprising given the cost of the rental. This we could have overlooked if the property had been sufficiently clean and safe. Instead there was a sickly smell (maybe vomit) a piece of glass on the area near the pool table, dog poo all over the garden, one of the rooms was yet to be made up (someone had to return with bedding later) and the floors did not appear to have had a thorough hoover and clean. Beachfield was clean, comfortable and well equipped. It is clearly a well loved family home and this shines through in the decor and the well stocked kitchen. Island Holiday Homes were responsive and helpful. Thank you for a lovely week away.
