This house was ideal for our family of 14. Every bedroom had an en suite which was ideal with young children. The house has been beautifully decorated and maintained and the gardens were lovely and child friendly. The large professional kitchen was easy to use and had everything we could have needed. The dining room comfortably seated us all. We could not fault anything at all and were all sad to get to the end of our stay here.
The apartment is lovely, well appointed and comfortable. The weather was really chilly when we arrived but the heating was easy to change and we were soon very cosy. The beds were lovely with gorgeous bedding so we slept really well. The sitting room provided comfortable seating and a terrific TV, when we got home and wanted to relax. Plenty of equipment if you wanted to cook, although we did not, other than breakfast. Although there is no view from the apartment itself, it is literally yards round the main house to the sea front. We had a wonderful stay at Park House. Owners live nearby and they provided all the background and history of the place. Views from BRs, living and dinning are amazing. On a clear day combination of green and blue was very soothing to eyes and body. We loved the place, location (middle of the island) and would go back if we return to IoW.
We had a wonderful stay at Church House - a lovely little cottage in a gorgeous location, walking distance from Ventnor Beach but far enough removed the feel peaceful and secluded. The house was beautifully presented, and had everything we could possibly need. The gardens were absolutely lovely and our two children loved playing in them. Parking on the steep, quite narrow driveway took a bit of getting used to, but given when the property was built we saw it as part of the charm! We will most certainly be back!

This was a return visit for us, having stayed here the previous year. The location was ideal for us, only a few minutes walk into Shanklin town, and a 5 minute drive to the esplanade. A good base for visiting all the other attractions on the island too. The only minor disappointment, which has nothing to do with the accomodation, is that due to coastal erosion, the footpath steps down to the beach are closed due to landslip. On arrival the appearance was just as lovely as the photos. Very secure entrance, the stairways were clean and fresh. The books and games were a nice touch. When we got into the apartment it was a wow moment for sure. Obviously recently renovated, amazing views from the rooms. Kitchen well equipped with everything we needed. The beds and sofas were comfy. But the balconies were just awesome. Waking up to the most sensational sunrises, then sitting on the balcony with a cuppa, watching dolphins in the bay are memories for life. We had such a lovely stay at Harbour walk, the house is modern and comfortable and had everything we needed. The property is also in a great location, walking distance to beaches and also The Point which we visited on several occasions. The owner has clearly thought of everything with this property with all the little extras and conveniences such as outdoor shower and hose facility for cleaning off sand etc. We felt very much at home there. Would love to return, highly recommend.

We enjoyed our visit but did find the accommodation rather cramped and the fridge was very small. The garden was good for the dogs as it was totally enclosed. The owner is talking about putting another door in for easier access to the garden from the cottage that would be a marvellous idea. The wood at the bottom of the road is amazing.
Perfect break for my mother for her 80th birthday and Mother's day..Facilities where excellent, The view of the sea was beautiful .
What a quiet and wonderful resort. Our bungalow was spacious and cool even though it was the hottest week in May. Close to the bus stop and some eateries.
We had a wonderful holiday, the apartment is lovely , very comfortable and situated opposite Shanklin beach and on the Esplanade. Fantastic to wake up to the sun hitting the water every morning. Shanklin is a brilliant holiday resort and much loved by all the family.

The Beach House is ideally located just off the beachfront at Ventnor and with the added benefit of parking. Inside, the accommodation is spacious and comfortable with fantastic views across the bay - whether you're sitting on the deck patio or in the lounge. The house contains everything you might need. In walking distance, there is a variety of places to eat and if you walk into town, a large number of other choices. The property owners were kind, thoughtful and very helpful with any queries and left a generous and thoughtful welcome gift in our holiday home. As soon as we entered we found the home was spacious, light and with plenty of space for our family. Each room was clean, tidy and perfectly made up. All appliances worked well and WiFi was available too. Porches at each end of the property were just perfect for returning from days out and being able to set down buckets of fossils, shells, seaglass or just shopping bags. We've just come home after a lovely stay. The apartment was beautiful and spotless. We had all the equipment we needed, and instructions, when required were clear in the information folder. The beds were comfortable with luxurious linen. The staff were very helpful with a couple of queries I had and replied to messages promptly. Access to the bus route is ideal, with a stop at the end of the road. We used it several times to get around the island. We have had an amazing stay here. There was everything you could need and more. The area is quite quiet and the neighbours we met are very friendly. The house is very comfortable and there were instructions left for everything which is a brilliant help. It’s definitely somewhere I would recommend.
The property is lovely. Shame we couldn't use 2nd balcony to catch late sun and view. Agent office nearby and helpful. Full welcome pack with all info on appliances, WiFi etc. Lots of birds visiting the balcony and garden. Bright and comfortable. Adam the agent was very helpful with some of the devices. All in all, I loved it.
A wonderful, relaxing stay at Mole Cottage. A fantastic base to explore the Isle Of Wight. Mole Cottage has everything you need from a holiday home. Badgers visit the garden every evening and the property has stunning views over the English Channel.
We were lucky to find this spot. St Helens and Bembridge has some of the nicest beaches, cafes, and restaurants on the island. It’s perfect if you want a location that’s less busy. The house was huge for a family of 4 and a dog. You can easily fit 6. Nice garden and the kitchen diner was a good size. The only downside is the extractor not working, I would have been useful to at least have the light while cooking.
Kenmare Cottage is situated in Shanklin 5 minutes from shops and the co-op supermarket and 10 minutes from the beach. Sharon at Island Holiday Homes was great and the process of booking was extremely smooth. The house was lovely, and clean and had a lovely outlook over the river. Very peaceful and quiet location. Having parking was very handy too.would recommend staying at Heron House.
This is a difficult one to review. We purposely booked this one because twin beds were an option. We are both disabled and dont sleep well so choosing twins is important. But dispite emailing and requesting the zip and link to be made up as twins and had a reply confirming. We were amazed to arrive and find it a double. As nothing could be done about that we did receive a small refund. We also had reason to phone Sharon from the office as there were a couple of breakages we didn't want to beheld responsible for. We had a fantastic stay at the Overlook - the position affords an absolutely brilliant view. The property itself is well equipped and comfortable we would like to return.
A perfect stay from start to finish. Magdalene offers truly beautiful sea views and is kept in immaculate condition, spotless, fresh, and equipped with every amenity a guest could possibly need. The private hot tub overlooking spectacular scenery was a standout highlight and made our stay even more relaxing. What a delightful find Long Ledge has been this week. Over the years we have always stayed at recommended property's from Island Holiday Homes and this year their offer of Long Ledge did not disappoint. From walking into the property on our first day we felt 'at home' immediately with the bright decor and all the very comfortable furniture. There was also had the bonus of a conservatory overlooking the back garden complete with raised decking with all the outdoor furniture. We loved this property so much we have already booked it for next year.
As the apartment has only recently been completed I would like to suggest some improvements that could be made. The kitchen was sparcely equipped. No salad bowl or salad servers, only one frying pan, no ovenproof dish etc. In the bathroom the toilet didn't flush adequately and the shower tap could only be adjusted to give water that was too cold or too hot, The towel rail was too small for four large towels so a few extra hooks would be a good idea. With only one clothes horse for four adults, an additional clothes horse would be an improvement. Some windows wouldn't lock at all. New beds ...more

Ye Old Worlde Cottage is a beautiful thatched cottage which is exceedingly well equipped. The garden at the rear of the property is full of cottage garden flowers and is delightful. There is a pub and shop within walking distance of the cottage. Niton is a good location for visiting various places on the island. We have stayed at the cottage several times and have always enjoyed our visits.

After arriving at the property - we had a little trouble - we locked ourselves out! We phoned the help line and very promptly it was all taken care of. Was very impressed with how efficient Island Holiday Homes are and the housekeeper was lovely. The home was beautiful and had been modernised nicely. The beds were huge and very comfortable. The only thing that we struggled with was sharing one bathroom with 5 people but I missed that when reading the listing. Beautiful views from the front and the back of this property. Comfy and warm. Upstairs bedroom not really as good as the 2 on the ground floor. Kitchen facilities excellent, with nice dining room, again lovely views both ends. Well equipped. Off road parking for my car. Convenient for a bus stop, with very good services all round island.
It's our third time at Villa Amanti, the location is stunning with the beach just across the road, bars and restaurants a few steps away. The apartment is beautifully furnished to a very high standard and it feels like home. Most definitely will be coming back in 2027.
Our 8th holiday at Beachside. Still love that view from the bedrooms (can’t be beaten). A couple of disappointments were that there wasn’t a barbecue and the frame & cushions for the hanging chair were there but no chair. Nice to see a coffee machine and new garden furniture cushions, also noticed the garden furniture has been refurbished. It’s a real home from home. Absolutely love it.

Hope Cottage was perfect for our family holiday. Great accommodation in an ideal location. Rooms were beautiful and ideally layed out to suit a large family. The kitchen was amazing and had everything you could possibly need. The children had a large garden to play in which they really enjoyed. We will certainly be staying here again. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Well presented and equipped, it was very clean. Rural location which is what we wanted. The only advice we would give to improve the property is to improve the WiFi service in the lounge, which is quite poor but very good in the rest of the house.
We really enjoyed our stay, the views are wonderful and we loved having the balcony to sit and just look out to sea and along the promenade, Shanklin promenade is such a delightful spot to find yourself in. House is lovely and clean with everything you need. Grass was very long this time but I assume due to weather this has been hard to sort. House really needs an info book like other properties have. This needs to include the hidden cutlery drawer, heating, emergency contacts (I’m aware this is on emails but useful to have in a folder) and could also include bin timetable and instructions for them to be put out as these were very full upon our arrival. I have stayed in this well-appointed property many times as we visit the Island regularly. It offers comfortable, spacious accommodation with many thoughtful additions not usually found in holiday lets. The addition this year of free standing fans in all three bedrooms was most welcome as we stayed during the heatwave in very hot weather. It’s I have said in previous reviews, the only down side to the property are the 30 steps leading up to it which won’t suit everyone but Ventnor is naturally very hilly so if planning to walk to the seafront or town you do need to be reasonably fit. We really enjoyed our stay at Napoleon's Landing. The location was excellent and the apartment was very well appointed, quiet and comfortable. We had some minor issues. many of the windows were difficult or impossible to open. As we were there during very hot weather this was a problem, A fan would have helped greatly too. A dustpan and brush and extra mugs would also have come in handy. Minor problems in an otherwise excellent stay.
Kipper Cottage is in a very special location with a wonderful view of the creek from the house and an enchanting cabin at the bottoms of the garden overlooking the creek. We had a really wonderful week here on the glorious Isle of Wight.
We absolutely loved staying here. The children loved the pool and playing tennis. The house is beautiful and so are the views. We all had a wonderful stay and created some special memories. The sun shined all week for us. We felt very lucky. Would recommend little forelands and would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you very much.
Absolutely no complaints about the house and its presentation, it had everything. Personally though, as we like to relax in our booked accomadation gardens. It would have been appreciated if there were some comfortable chairs to sit in fold up or otherwise. For us the walk into the village centre was a little long around 25 minutes but the beach and coast only a few minutes from the front door. A perfect location for a quiet relaxed break away.
We really enjoyed our stay at “Poppies” , comfy large lounge and large bedroom, kitchen had everything you need, the addition of an oven would’ve topped it, although there was an air fryer provided and the kitchen did have a hob. We stayed in the middle of a heat wave and the flat was very hot, maybe the provision of a fan would add to comfort levels at these times? Big shout out to the lovely girls at Island Holiday Homes who let us borrow one of theirs ☺️ ( offices just down the road ) Overall a great holiday, we’ve booked to come back.
The property was very clean, well equipped, has a lovely balcony overlooking the sea and was in a great location near to plenty of pubs/restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay.
Enjoyable stay in this property, very clean throughout and plenty of kitchen stuff and towels (but no teatowels or kitchen towel so whether this was an oversight). Nice hot shower. The only criticism is the bed in the main bedroom is 2 singles zipped together which my back did not find comfortable at all (and I tried both sides) and the settee in the lounge is also not comfortable despite plenty of cushions.

Great location, amazing views, however the property is somewhat lacking. Facilities are for the most part fine, albeit the double bed is a standard small, and the box room is an extremely small single bed, with an incredibly uncomfortable mattress. Thinner duvets would be better with a throw blanket than the thick one provided. No bedside lamps in the main bedroom makes it hard to read at night, plus no wall mirror so hair drying was interesting! There needs to be more glassware - 2 wine, 2 tumblers and 1 pint glass means constant washing up...not wanted when youre on holiday. Finally, wh...more
Although the cottage appeared clean there were loads of skinny spiders everywhere, especially corners by beds & the sofas in the living room . Bedding was v clean & fresh. Generally the towels & the flooring needs upgrading. (sea grass matting very difficult to clean & very rough. ) Also, with the heat (as it was forecast ) there were no fans provided. A lovely cottage and Peter was a great host a very welcoming. The welcome gifts were lovely. Pubs in Carisbrook weren’t the best - Waverley was ok and the staff were really friendly. The Eight Bells closed at 8pm which wasn’t ideal.
Our party of 7 had a lovely week in Kildare. We had everything we needed at the property and the location was great. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
We had a lovely stay, The moment we opened the door and walked in. The property was spotlessly clean and tidy and everything we needed is provided for our small family. We were visiting the island from living abroad and this was a first time back to UK for 18months. The property is just around the corner from my parents. So, we had a lovely family Christmas for the first time for many years. The house was very warm and cozy, and was great for our winter break. We are planning to return again in the summer. This was our 2nd year staying at Molly’s lodge. Very comfortable and everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The only downside was that the internet connection and TV was constantly disconnecting which spoilt our evening entertainment. I had my elderly mother with us again and she sometimes just wanted to spend her day resting in the lodge, if the TV and internet was off she was left with nothing to do. We have planned on returning for another visit to the Island but sadly because of the TV situation we will have to stay in different accommodation which is such a shame as we love the lodg...more
This was our third year in a row at Grove Cottage - we keep coming back, so it must be good! The cottage is really well placed for easy access to the wonderful Yarmouth and having a drive to park the car (albeit a little tight) is very handy. It is on the main access road in to Yarmouth, which can be a little noisy from intermittent passing vehicles overnight and in the early morning, so take your ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. We had a wonderful stay in this superb cottage. Comfortable beds, great living room, well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms and amazing gardens with multiple places to sit. Distant view of the sea, private off road parking, steep walk down into Ventnor (and up again coming back!) - but of course everywhere is, if you can't manage steep don't choose Ventnor! The location in St Helens was convenient for travelling by car to many of the visitor attractions and to/from the ferry terminal at Fishbourne. However, Helms House is on a surprisingly busy road which made the parking space quite difficult to enter and leave, especially squeezing in 2 cars. There was a lot of traffic noise late at night and in the early morning (a noisy motorbike regularly roared past at about 5.45 am!) - this was accentuated because the windows needed to be open due to the hot weather. Downedge is a large, comfortable family house where we walked through the door and immediately felt at home. The kitchen is very well equipped. Our three generation family of 10 had plenty of space for eating, sleeping and socialising.
Broadways was a very well equipped and comfortable bungalow and my wife and I enjoyed our stay, despite the Island weather not meeting its usual high standards. Our daughter, son-in-law, son and grandson joined us for the last 3 nights and they were very impressed with the comfort and facilites, particularly the fabulous conservatory and kitchen. We had a lovely stay at The Vine Cottage. The location is great and the rooms and décor are very well done — stylish, comfortable, and clearly thought through. However, there were a few issues worth mentioning for future guests. There is no on-site parking, The main issue was the heating. Unfortunately, the rooms didn’t warm up properly, particularly the back room, which was extremely cold. It reached the point where we had to buy a portable heater just to make the space usable. Incredibly beautiful and quirky flat in incredibly beautiful and convenient location. Just gorgeous. Just a few practical comments- maybe better advice regarding how to access property/where to park/recycling arrangements, as there was a bit of guess work involved!
The property is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Our guest has a great stay, and communication throughout was excellent. We'd be happy to work with the host again in the future.

The cottage was very handy for me to visit relatives on the island . Unfortunately it was absolutely awful weather 90% of our stay!! But constant hot water plus heating if needed ( yes even in June lol), was great. Very clean , 10/10 to whoever looks after it! But to note that although it comes with a washing machine in the outhouse it is not a dryer as well . The washing line is only able to take max 4 garments , so you need to keep in mind if you have children with you . But idea for 2 , and right near the town / shops/ pubs/ restaurants..& the sea! ❤️

As mentioned by others, the photos used in the advertisement are outdated. The downstairs of the house could do with a little makeover. As soon as we entered, the carpets where stained, and one of the armchairs in the front room was very low and had seen better days. The front and back gardens looked as though they hadn't been maintained for a long time and were very overgrown. I understand that homes can get cobwebs, but it seemed that no effort had been made to clear them from the conservatory. Nice quiet setting and spacious property but dated and very cold with no heating in the summer months. We had a chilly week unfortunately and were unable to enjoy sitting outside. Empty welcome basket on the table and no milk in the fridge. Have never not had anything at all provided before, milk and biscuits or cake makes a better first impression. Property was very homey and comfortable, well stocked, lovely secure garden. It was quiet but only a short walk to the village. Downside; only one bedroom with a small hanging space, lots of locked cupboards and even the freezer was full with supposedly the owners food. The shower was not working in one of the bathrooms, otherwise this was the perfect accomodation for staying by the seaside with a dog

The house at Brooks Close is perfect for what i need, great with a couple of dogs as i take my own covers for everything. The downstairs wet room works really well when you've been for a swim in the sea and the kitchen has everything needed if I wanted to eat at home. Location wise it couldn't be better, 3 minute walk to the beach and about the same to the local shop. Whilst the house is a little tired, it works well for me and the price reflects its state.
Nice little two up two down converted and modernised. Galley kitchen worked well for minimum cooking though plenty of equipment if need to. Mattresses too soft for us but that’s a personal issue lovely and quiet and excellent view of the sea
Lovely big house for multi generational. Most of house is in good condition but the lower ground floor needs some maintenance. Had a humidifier in the bedroom because of the damp and it had to be emptied every day. My clothes felt cold and damp. The kitchen was supposed to have been renovated this year but has not happened and the shower room needs an upgrade as not very pleasant. We had a lovely family holiday staying at Norlands. The situation was ideal as everyone could get out and about without a car. We were able to make full use of the houses amenities especially the garden for games and shade. This is a families holiday home that was equipped accordingly, however there was no bbq. Brought our own as need with 2 weeks of excellent weather! A few things needed a bit of attention but didn't impact greatly. Worked for us as we loved the house and came with no great expectations.
I’m afraid although the pine bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable, and there was plenty of furniture in all the rooms, I have to agree with all points that Maureen made that attended in June 2025. The path leading up to the front door is a very bad trip hazard by the huge bush. The one slab stands at least 3 inches above the others. There is no outside light either so you have to be very careful in the dark. The musty smell blew us back when we first opened the door, but after leaving all the windows open for a few days, it smelt a bit better. Good job it was windy! There are cobwebs...more
We had a lovely holiday exploring the island and the Napier Apartment is in a perfect location. Unfortunately we were disappointed with several aspects, particularly the cleanliness. The apartment is in need of a Deep Clean. The skirting boards, and around the toilet were very dirty. The kitchen rubbish bin was filthy when we removed the bin liner. The net curtain in the dining area needed a good wash. We couldn't see through it and it was difficult to draw back as a it was hooked up into the rusty wire at the top.
