Poppies is a 1st floor, 1 bed apartment above the very popular Poppins cafe, in the heart of Shanklin town. Within walking distance of the shops, beach and train station, this apartment is the perfect location for a pleasurable and hassle-free holiday by the sea. The accommodation includes 1 reception/ dining room, open fitted kitchen and shower bathroom. At the rear of the property there is a main paid car-park.

We really enjoyed our stay at “Poppies” , comfy large lounge and large bedroom, kitchen had everything you need, the addition of an oven would’ve topped it, although there was an air fryer provided and the kitchen did have a hob.
We stayed in the middle of a heat wave and the flat was very hot, maybe the provision of a fan would add to comfort levels at these times? Big shout out to the lovely girls at Island Holiday Homes who let us borrow one of theirs ☺️ ( offices just down the road )
Overall a great holiday, we’ve booked to come back.

The apartment is well presented & maintained. Lovely large double bedroom. Large lounge diner very good size. Kitchen is clean & all utensils for cooking are adequate. The only issue I had is sometimes I could hear people at night in the street. Busy road with customers visiting takeaway & local shop. The lift to the beach is 10 min walk away.

Would you return?
I have no need to return as I now have my own place on the Isle of Wight
